I agree. I've gotten a little taste of this with their latest Gen 3 M12 Fuel Hammer Drill & Impact Driver set. Particularly the impact driver with its 3 LEDs - way better lighting than my older gen set, much more even/better distributed - and a much more pleasant neutral/warmish hue (vs a more bluish/uneven light in many of their less recent tools). Good 'flood' too for easy navigation in total darkness if you're working on electrical.

Can you really ever have enough lights. I use the Milwaukee lights all the time. I have Olights, surefire, etc, and the Milwaukees get the most use. Heck I even have the Makita 10,000 Monster, which is great at night, but gets hot. I got the new M12 1/4 impact just for the new 3 light setup even thought the M12 previous gen works just fine. Never Never enough light. I drive a 3500 Ram Dually Diesel so light is always needed. A ladder is also needed. lol
I was looking at the Harbor Freight folding lights, but this kills that. Waiting on the Home Depot pricing hack or some price reduction.
Love the Charging adaptors. I keep most of my lights in the top of My US General Toolboxes. I really need more space so I finally starting to look at 72 the boxes. The chargers take so much space.
Now Milwaukee, can you lower the price of your Green M12 lasers. I really want them, but geez I really like my kidneys and the Doctor keeps telling me I really should keep them!

Just saw the last one at HD for $79 and I had to look it up. The ONE thing I wish it had was the ability to charge other devices. I have a Klein rechargeable light that can do that and compares to this at $40. For a $100 retail it should be able to do that. I do appreciate that Milwaukee is addressing the USB C thing unlike so many other things still stuck on micro. Otherwise it’s is a pretty good design and it feels pretty solid. Compact enough for a tool bag but can light up a room. Perfect for standing up and aiming the inspection beam at something from the floor or countertop like a ceiling fixture.

    Hi there, random question..
I live in Australia, and for whatever reason we can only purchase the light in a kit with the battery and cable, no dock.
I've messaged Milwaukee tool Australia and have just been told that the dock isn't available in our market, even though it's really just usb c and there's no real reason not to have it.
Is it possible to purchase the dock seperately in the US? The part number is 48-59-2128 for the dock as per the parts manual for the light.

Great light just under powered. They should have put a duplicate of the 1100lumen torch on the end with adjustable focus, and then also up the lumen on the bar lights to about 950 lumens, that would make for a good light.

    • @tomsqualitylawncare5945

They could of just put both panel lights on one side for 1100 lumens and made the head rotatable so it’s the same but double the power than the current set up and as well beefed up the tip light.

really seems overpriced and only 2 hours runtime makes it a "pass" for me. if you need a cheap but long runtime light, i bought the "dr prepare" 400 lumen worklight, look on amazon. its basically the same style, has a magnet on the bottom, runs on 2 18650 batteries (can be upgraded or swapped out as easily as batteries in your tv remote) and i have gotten around 6-7 hours runtime on the flood style light. only downside is the buttons are a little awkward but you get used to them, one power and a - and + for changing the brightness. it also has 2 of the flashlight style lights on the end, all for about $20.

I have a Dewalt light that does that, and imo it’s dangerous. It’s startling at times when the light turns off then comes back on every 3-5 minutes. When it’s completely dark and this happens, it almost makes you feel like you just instantly died at that moment. I can’t stand it.
It should vibrate or beep, not turn the light off and on.

Let me be the first to say I'm a cheap book especially when it comes to LEDs preferably buying them from China because they're 10% of the price and 90% of the bang but when it comes to quality of light I've noticed a huge difference you may be able to go to cheap light but a quality light like the Milwaukee's the durability of the plastic the tight fitting of everything the swappable batteries and then the actual quality of the color of the light doesn't hurt your eyes or blind you when you're trying to work on something from being too white these lights are worth every penny well I wish they would be cheaper honestly but still worth it. And dear China the biggest grab I have with your goddamn lights get rid of the strobing light feature and the red light feature please just on and off on high on low off That's it That's all the light should have I don't need SOS I don't need flashing strobe party light and nor do I want to click through it when I need a light

I got this yesterday and it’s terrible. It has a yellowish soft white light. It’s that yellow lack of brightness that hurts your eyes, reminds me of old flashlight bulbs from the past. It’s Not what I expected, not up to the quality and that white bright that I’m used to. All videos of this light makes it look like a white light, but it’s definitely yellowish. I’d be real surprised if it’s actually 550 lumens. I have a Fenix light that is 250-1000 lumens, and on the 250 lumen setting the Fenix is a lot brighter than the Milwaukee at it’s so called 550 lumens. Milwaukee would have had a winner if they used 2022 bright white LED true 550 lumen technology.
Still a thumbs up for the video!

@@Shoptoolreviews thank you. Maybe my light is defective! When I first turned it on, both my wife and 9 year old son said at the same time with disappointment and surprise in their voices “it’s a yellow light”?
Did Milwaukee send you the light, or did you buy yours?
Every video I’ve seen before the release of the light it looks white in the videos. Mine for some reason reminds me of an old lamp shade in a smokers house, when they turn the light on, the shade used to be white, but now it’s a nicotine color lol. Definitely not as bright as I expected either. Some other lights I have are under 550 lumens and they seem brighter than this new Milwaukee.
Maybe I’m just used to the bright white or blue LED lights and I will have to get used to it.
