I imagine this product (for me)will be like the mechanics neck light from Milwaukee. I will probably think it's way over priced for what it is, but then once I try it, I gotta have it.
I'm pretty excited about these. And not because I'm a Milwaukee fanboy, because this has the potential to not only a great product but to also create more competition. ISOTunes as far as I know was the first company to produce ear buds that are hearing protection with Bluetooth audio but also pick up on someone speaking and playing that through the ear buds. Since then, these have come out and there's also a similar product being sold by Festool. I'd love to see a comparison between the ISOTunes Free Aware, these Milwaukee ear buds, and the Festool ear buds. It would be interesting to see what each brand does right and what each brand didn't do well on.
If these are anything like the Isotunes they aren't worth half of that 180.... I had the Iso ones and they were horrible. They were way too quiet, the noise cancellation did not work at all. I had them swapped out in warranty and the 2nd pair were the exact same....
@@Wolf.diesel yeah... I was so excited to get them too... They were an awesome company to deal with but their product just didn't have it. I went to Shokz, got the opencomm. If I'm in loud environments, I just use foam plugs and I can still listen to music. I can even talk on the phone while cutting grass and have a normal conversation
Yeah.. Beats Pro has this same tech I’ve been using for three years.. Transparency, and noise cancellation. Sound good, but cost $200. But they last all day (10 hours) and the case lasts all week.
I've worked in a refinery where they had areas that were so loud that you were required to wear ear plugs AND ear muffs. Normal earplugs have between 25 and 35 NRR, so it's a little tame in that area, honestly.
They went through a lot of trouble to dance around omitting the driver frequencies specs, driver size, driver impedance. Ya know, things that matter when you paying $180+
Milwaukee missed an opportunity here, They got a million flashlights now, they shoulda added a flashlight to these. Then they woulda broke the interwebs.
In Android, enable Developer Options and choose Disable Absolute Volume. This uncouples the device volume limitations from your phone. Your phone still controls the volume of the speakers, but it's no longer as limited.
It's unfortunately not really that simple. The headphones have a maximum volume output and can physically not play any audio louder than 85dB in compliance with the EN352 standard. Unfortunately, many earphones maker put a limit below 80dB, or even as low as 77dB or 75dB, as in the case of theese ones, to have some margin so that they will definitely get the certification. Without it, they are illegal to use in workplace environments, especially loud ones. For music that is normally loud enough for me but when listening to podcasts with a more varied and sometimes lower volume during dialogues it can be very hard to hear things when in a loud environment or sometimes in a quiet one. I don't think disabeling absolute volume will work fully to fix that, though I have found an app that can increase the gain for all audio or certain apps. The headphones will still not play it louder than the set limit, but the less loud parts will be louder, so they are easier to hear. Unfortunately, I still feel like I need earmuffs above the headphones sometimes to hear properly.
I'll stick to my noise canceling bose headphones or galaxy buds 2 anc. One of the best mic for phone calls too. They work in dirty workplace pretty good. Sony are better but are more prone to dust.
The things is that I also forget to charge my power bank and we have that type of battery lying around the shop so it's a win win for me@@boofingenthusiast
@jamesjenkins5759 you are correct. But that's not why I said that. Ryobi always comes out with everything, and that's why I'm shocked they hadn't already had a set of wireless headphones already. Typically, Milwaukee one ups everyone arriving fashionably late to the party.
It might happen. Cat (as in Caterpillar) have had many branded phones over the years. I wanted to buy one at one point because I was looking at one that came with a regular camera, plus a Flir branded thermal camera with its own app preloaded. Plus it was marketed as a VERY rugged phone that's waterproof, crazy drop rating, vibration resistant, and long battery life.

Yup. I just ordered some. They're on backorder most places, but I'm willing to wait a couple of weeks. I prefer a larger case cause I misplace my current ones often and have to go on a hunt looking for them. I have a bunch of 18650 batteries laying around, which will come in handy for this case as well. Checks enough boxes for me, plus my cheap Chinese ones are literally falling apart, so it's time to replace them.
I got a set of these, I love them, I don't normally like ear buds, these I don't mind so much. You can buy larger packs of the foam pieces in the size that fits you best. I like how long they last, they last virtually forever between charges.

Do the Galaxy Buds 2 have an actual noise reduction rating? Because that would be pretty impressive. All else aside though without an actual noise reduction rating I would say most jobsites that say hearing protection is mandatory wouldn't let you wear them without a rating or without a high enough rating.

I'll take a hard pass, thank you!
Glad to see they are using the 4v for more devices. I really wish they made a 4v light duty screw driver. Sometimes you don’t need a full power screwdriver.
Agree. I’m using a craftsman screwdriver right now changing switches wall plates and receptacles. Makes it so much easier. Wish Milwaukee made one cause the one I’m using is just ok.
Get the installation driver, I haven't turned a screw by hand since I got it.
It needs a packout mount on the bottom so you don't lose them
They are absolutely too expensive but compared to the Samsung and beats. They are in the same price range so no matter what brand of earbuds you get you’re gonna overpay.
The biggest con is the “weird brown” color 😆
Who makes them for milwaukee?
Fun fact galaxy phones can do that with any pair of headphones
they arent pocketable in the case which is a mistake... the features are good and seem like a quality product... but they should make a v2 with a smaller case
I just laughed so hard at this video I mean crying laughing So very good video lol
Compare them to a = priced era bud with same features, not Dewalt....Beats, or Bose. Or Skull Bud. Good video though, thank you for the review.
Ok man you’re too old to be saying cray cray. And I know this because I tried it and my wife and kids both looked at me and said “No. Just no.” 😂
🤣👊
I actually do work around jet engines and use my ear buds for noise reduction....
I have them and you can’t answer the phone call on the left ear bud really frustrating sound quality is just as good as my Beats
Appreciate the feedback
Yah, I’d never be able to use them. The only kind that will stay in my ear holds are the wrap arounds.
