Shield mags are a hit or miss. I bought two mags for my Glock 48, and they work flawlessly. I was excited so I purchased two more magazines for my Glock 43X..extremely disappointed. I could not run a full mag to save my life, both mags would double feed every 5-10 rounds. Sent them back to shield arms, only to get told that there is nothing wrong with them. Moral of the story, why have an extremely reliable Glock with hit or miss mags lol..I now run only oem mags. This happened 10/11/22.

Its an excellent choice for a carry weapon. Probably the overall best EDC gun when considering size, capacity, and reliability. Shield Arms makes a 15rd steel mag that sits flush... that makes the capacity 16 rounds. Almost the same capacity as a full size glock 17.
I just saw a Glock 43X MOS in a gun store this morning and it was priced at $450. New. If you are buying a firearm to protect your life and the lives of your family, first consideration should be quality and reliability. As far as price, what is your life worth? What are your family members lives worth? Your lives are worth far more so, don’t worry about the price of the gun. Honestly I like the +2 from The Glock Store , it gives you 13 rounds & you don't need to change the Mag release . I think that's PERFECT . I will say it adds a touch of length to the grip but that's also a HUGE + because you get a better purchase on the gun .

Two stock polymer mags are my choice for EDC than Shield's 15-mag. The polymer stock magazine does not cut through the 43X polymer frame than Shield's mag would probably do in a matter of time.
I’m moving from xMacro to 43x MOS as my EDC tomorrow through trade. I live in a 10 round limit state so capacity isn’t a question. I just trust Glock much more compared to Sig from recent research. Sig does not stand behind their products as well as Glock.

As far as the Glock trigger, I am not a fan of them at all. There is a sharp ridge on all new Glock pistol triggers that cuts into the trigger finger. The trigger must be gently filed so as to remove that sharp edge.
I bought this pistol and it’s ok, but have others and the build quality is miles ahead of glock. This IS the best model that glock makes and it will be my one and only glock purchase.

Sig p365 also offers a 15r mag. I've got 3. I just picked up the 43x myself. So far nice pistol
Also for 34 bucks you can put the maggots kits in and make your 12 round sig mags into 14 rounders. Cheaper than s15 mags.
@@andershilmo1866 really? Who makes them? That's new to me
@@Wilders53 mag guts if you search them you should find them. YT doesn’t let me put the link on here.
@@andershilmo1866 awesome brother! Ty!!👍
I’d like to get the same holster. Where can I get it?
The shield arms mags are known for jamming. That’s why most don’t use those mags for their edc, but the Glock 43x with its 10 round jags is reliable. Perhaps you should look into the hellcat pro
I have had 2 20 rd and 1 15 rd shield arms mag and I havent had any issues. 4 other guys in my agency carry the same setup and they havent had any issues. We all have the metal mag release from shield arms also. Its wierd to me that some people have problems and other dont. I just reccomend train and shoot with your setup if it doesnt work then revert back to oem. But I reccomend them
Pair the Shield Arms Gen-2 mags and the Shield Arms Mag Catch and you won't have any issues with the 43x.
Never had an issue with the Shield mags . Got at least 8k through them with no issues for me at least
My understanding is that you shouldn't use stock Glock 43x mags after switching to the Shield magazine catch...
@@Robert_Sparkman_01 ya you shouldnt
Someone other than shield arms needs to step up and make a 15 rd mag for the 43x. Someone to do it better and improve reliability
Just make the same mag as Shield Arms but polymer
Shield & Swampfox sentinel fit right on the slide while all others require a plate far as I know. Have 43X but prefer my 48 mos cause it's more accurate for me . Just have to concentrate on pulling trigger straight back & consultant grip . Thinking on getting a Shield Arms magwell to improve grip on my 48?
I have the 43X and tried the S15 mags, not reliable enough for me. I picked up Hellcat Pro with stock 15rd mags. Runs great and is 100% reliable.
Unreliable as in it doesn't shoot? Maybe abit of clarity
Unreliable as in, rounds would not feed properly. Or the mag would disengage, sometimes just fall out. And that was with the Shield metal mag release. Wouldn't bet my life or my family's life on them. Only stock mags for me.
You should check out the PSA Dagger Micro 15rd Mag. It’s absolutely amazing, no issues so far, and you don’t have to change your mag release.
I have a 43x and a 48 MOS had problems with the shield arms magazines in my 43x haven't tried them in the 48 yet
Where’d you buy your gun holster from ???
I gotta know where you got that holster. Things sick!
Traditional Arms
Have the shield arm mags been giving you any issues? I’ve seen so many mixed reviews I’m reluctant to trying it out.
I've yet to have any issues with mine. I know some people were having problems in the beginning when the mags first came out, but I thought all of them had been fixed.
I will not carry shield mags. Me and friends have 5 43x and 3 of the guns have issues no matter gen 1 or gen 2 shield mags
@@heaterfamily interesting. Might just vary from gun to gun.
@@kroniicaledc7316 yes. Meaning the mags are out of spec. This has been said before by some RUclipsrs. It the reason I won’t carry them. Also reason why my 43x was sold. Well and the fact the macro is so flat. I have videos of me shooting it in slow motion.
@np So I just posted this on another guys post in regards to the s15 mags.

You need the MOS to run a decent light.
What holster do you use? I have the same setup with the TRL7Sub with the Holosun 407k.
For the 43x?? I’m looking for the right fit for light and laser, the olight was to big on 43x
You chose a Glock. The title of your vid should be "I chose a Glock for my EDC, I fucked up." Lol, just teasing . From a 1911 guy
You need to check out “The Glock Store” !
Where did you get that holster from ?
Exactly shield mags are hit n miss that's why I went back to oem
is there a link for ur holster have the same gun and attachments 🙏🏼
What’s the difference between this and the reg 43x? I just got the 43x I’m a newbie but I like your sights and light can I add that to mine ??
The main thing the MOS gets you is the ability to add an optic. You can have your 43x slide cut to mount an optic, you just have to have a third party company do it. I highly recommend NCEngravers.
What brand holster are you using
Hey man what holster is that I would love to have one !
If you find out let me know please
Save 15 minutes of your lives and read this. G43x MOS, light rail and red dot ready, shield arms 15rd mags. SUPER ERGONOMIC. Done. The only true competitor at this point is the new SIG. Problem w the G43x is after you buy the mags, replace the absolute garbage stock sights, the optic and light, it's well over $1000, while it's still fine stock w shield mags. For 750 you can get 13+1Sig P365 Romeo(comes w red dot) or Hellcat Pro OSP with 6 15rd mags for 549 at PSA.
Thx

Nope, it’s made to work without any modifying

have you looked at milling the top nubs for the holo to fit more flush on the slide?
Never looked into it simply because the adapter plate was cheap and doesn’t bother me.

What holster are you using?
All striker fired triggers are not usually the best in the market.
Dude love the gun but the drag across on the concrete killed me 😅
Who makes that holster with the lv print
Just Install the Overwatch precision polydat trigger shoe..just the shoe... It's a amazing flat trigger makes it feel great..and dat means duty approved.... Think it reduces pretravel like 15 % ull thank me if u listen lol
What site did you buy the holster
Dude, you are killing me. Take your gun off the concrete. Grab a table. I love what you are saying, but every time you lay that gun on the concrete, I cringe! Urgh!
I mean it’s just a Glock lol. It’s going to get worn taking it in and out of the holster. It’s not like I’m tossing around some rare, special 1911 or WW2 era gem of a firearm. Besides, it’s still flawless, there’s no scratches on it from the making of this video.
@@kroniicaledc7316 OK, I get ya
@@livinglife2535 I also want to say I didn’t mean to come off rude in that reply, as I just reread it and it sounded worse than when I originally wrote it out.
If it was a more special firearm then I would certainly treat it with care. I have $2k+ pocket knives and I treat them a lot nicer than a run of the mill Spyderco. But with this being a fairly common piece, I wouldn’t feel sad if it gets some wear on it from various things, such as laying it on concrete.
Thanks for watching!

Jesus Christ bro stop picking it up and putting it down on the cement.. you’re scratching the shit out of it… lay something down to protect the finish!😩

What holster is this
As far as the Glock trigger, I am not a fan of them at all. There is a sharp ridge on all new Glock pistol triggers that cuts into the trigger finger. The trigger must be gently filed so as to remove that sharp edge.
U gently sand the blade in middle flush look it up doesn't affect the safety at all
@@jerstolp1 Thank you for the tip., I appreciate it
got the ITTS Tyrant flat face on the 48 or 43x and its way better
I bought this pistol and it’s ok, but have others and the build quality is miles ahead of glock. This IS the best model that glock makes and it will be my one and only glock purchase.
Can you still co-witness the iron sights with the plate?
You can somewhat, it’s not perfect as it is raised up just ever so slightly above where you’d want the sight to rest obviously.
@@kroniicaledc7316 thank you. I thought as much :)
@Hu-man… check out Holsun’s new SCS optic. It’s made specifically for Glock MOS and you can co-witness with factory sights. I just ordered one. Haven’t received it yet though.
@@frank-anderson make sure you get the eps carry if your putting it on a 43x SCS is for double stack glocks

I love my 43. Cant understand why people want to load it up full of accessories on the 43x. Kind of defeats the purpose.
Not if guns are a hobby. Some people enjoy it for some their reasons than just concealed carry.
Too bad glock wasnt smart enough to make the 15rnd mags for the 43x. Put a Poly DAT trigger shoes on it. Best $40 youll spend
Honest Outlaw has a video which explains there are five pistols which are better than the Glock. What Glock has going for it is probably the finest marketing program of any product.
I’m sure there are better options out there if you nitpick all the details, but the 43x works for me for the reasons I said in the video. The 365xl is objectively a better gun to a ton of people, but I still prefer the 43x. Also, you won’t get around the fact that the Glock name and reliability is a thing people desire.
Maybe but glock has much more aftermarket support, reliable, durable you can hand them down to your kids and your kids can hand down to their kids ect.
But it all comes down to what your used to and train better with
@@mikethomas4628 I expect that from any gun manufacturer. I have tens of thousands of rounds through by M&P and three gun classes. It's never failed. Hand down to your kids?? Nothing beats stainless steel. There are just better guns out there than the forty year old Glock.
@@shooterqqqq my G43x has never failed along with all the other glocks I’ve owned and even own the shield plus as well. it’s all preference keep it simple and it works and is reliable. M&P is reliable too it’s all how to take care of them if you never clean them there will be issues down the road.
Ha ha my same carry for the last 2 years. 43 or P365. Love them both but shoot the 43 better.
Why buy a micro glock then put a massive light & rmr on it? It is very impractical.
Well what’s the point of carrying if you can’t see what you need to shoot? That’s the reason for the light. The red dot doesn’t make a difference at all on how it carries.
@@kroniicaledc7316 buying a micro Glock, throwing an rmr, light, and unreliable magazine in just seems like you're missing the point. You've created the footprint of a regular size Glock while reducing reliability, ease of use, and ease of shooting. If you've got a chungis micro Glock and you're happy with it - I'm happy for you. Best of luck!
Not trusting SA mags
Why do you have your pistol on the ground lol 😆
I chose it because I have a sig 365 xl and wanted a sig macro but is was 799 plus tax and they had a US made 43x mos for 519 plus tax so I had to buy it. LOL. Also have a bunch of shield arms mags from when I had a g48 mos that I traded for the xl so I was already ready to go. Also my XL is super accurate, I don't know why but its probably the tighter tolerances but the 43x mos can still shoot a tight group at 7-10 yards but the XL group will always be tighter. Both are great.
I carry mossberb mc2sc
