My dad's friend caught a keeper sturgeon, got caught up in the excitement taking pictures and all forgot to tag it right away, F&G showed up and gave him a ticket even tho he showed him the tag was in his pocket.
I used to be a truck driver , they called in my common name , and the cop wanted to know why i had 3 warrants , nm tx , colorado , all for equipement violations when i had a company truck , they said they would take care of them , but they didnt ..them bastards i found out years later

Not true. The new regulation clearly states that no oversized sturgeon greater than 68 inches fork length may be removed from the water prior to their immediate release.

Even if you only caught one and have an unused tag...you are done!
