These “pros” in your comment section show me why you’ve disabled the comment section in the past. So annoying. Keep doing what you’re doing Bob. I hope the best for you and congrats on the great catches!
I really appreciate this comment. Thank you. It is tough to make everyone happy and once you come to terms with that, RUclips becomes mad fun. The internet is also wild these days, without merit or a page to back it up, literally every comment could be a troll. Hope to see you soon bud! Fish on

that is a thing of beauty. Im from Montreal, and unfotunately the striper are all gone in the St Laurence where I am. They are starting to come back in Quebec City . Next year I am coming to fish with you boys. Incredible catch and release btw! Off to Southern France for 2 months and will be fishing for the Loup de Mer, sea bass or brindizi.
Montreal is an incredible place. Would love to fish for Striper up there some day. Hope you get to make it down next year! Fall run is a good time too. Have fun on your trip to France bud
Hello sir, i see your comments talking a lot about tips tricks and gear! Glad youre not afraid to respond! Question I have is do you ever swim to rocks and or wear wetsuits?
For sure, I love talking fishing. Yes I wear a wetsuit and a dry suit but for kayaking. Never really had the need to swim out honestly, not the biggest fan of the sealed van staal reels. I have a work smart not hard mentality so swimming out to a rock to catch a bass just kinda seems silly. But I totally get why people do it, and respect it

@@vsonic86Pretty sure they made the switch to synthetic last year. I was surprised when I received mine in the mail… Still works but I don’t have as much confidence
Dangit BOB. I WANNA DO THIS!. where are you fishing and what months can I be guaranteed this action? I'll have to plan a trip from arkanasas, so good timing is key. We have stripers here in our lakes but they're sissified, no back bone having, come on in ez type. NO FUN!. I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE😂 HBO
If you fish a lot and don't have a lot of money, its pretty hard to always have a perfect amount of line. I try not to waste it, if you look closely at this video there is 3 connection knots on that braid.

@@John-nl1pt that is so cool! I hope they catch one. Best part of making these videos is motivating others to go out and catch. It’s good for you and I am siked you are able to enjoy the time with your family. Thank you John
In this application I was bouncing bottom. Depending on where the fish are staged you will need to change retrieve speed and lure weight to present the bucktail correctly. It takes a lot of on the water practice to make sense of
@@vsonic86 Process of elimination, you'll know if the fish are up top. If not, try mid water column, that doesn't work bounce bottom. Not on bottom, switch it up. Every tide cycle is different and it changes every 24 hours
@@BobAquatic I never knew by just bouncing a Bucktail at the bottom, could cause a fish a strike?? I thought you have to swim the Bucktail at the bottom. Is there a recommendation to how many time you should bounce a Bucktail?
@@vsonic86 Keep in mind, your lure is representing a wounded bait fish. A bait fish with a broken fin falling to the bottom and trying to swim back up is natural. Try to put your headspace into mimicking bait fish not an exact retrieve or bounce. I believe in you
AWESOME JOB Bob! Way to play that fish. I thought your drag would never stop pulling! How big would you estimate that 1st Bass landed to be? Ok so i wrote that b4 i saw the Real Big One! 😅 You really do stay on the fish Bob Fish On!
Hi Bob, I'm impressed with your technique can you help me? I want to catch Strippers can you tell me about your fishing gear I'm kinda new at it and I would like to know about your setup Thank You
Thank you for watching Jahmall. I was using a 7' 6" rod rated 2-6oz , 4500 size reel. I tend to prefer shorter rods, its best to try a few out at a local tackle shop
Im lowkey annoyed by how small your reel is lol. Maybe im just used to catching big fish with my big 10000 series reel. Striper stand no chance with that reel
Last year I slipped backwards on a wet mossy rock and just barely saved my skull catching most of the impact on my surf rod butt. I don’t own a helmet but maybe I should get one!

Hi Partner ❤ what kind of fishing pole are you using? Did it come with the reel? And what kind of line. Thank you for your time.
hey this one was a jigging world nexus, they do not make that model anymore unfortunately. The reel is a Penn slammer IV 4500
I'm here on the Westcoast and bucktails have always been the standard jig for Stripers ,... cool video 😎👍🤙

Is that Andrus’s Bucktail or spro? How many oz?
Andrus, 2oz was working . But it can change quickly

just wondering why do you let the fish run for so long before you start to feel in?
Heavy fish, lot of current. Not too sure, just the way the fish wanted to play it out
After seeing those back to back monsters I can tell that wasn't west coast. A 40 incher is rare out here. Nice catches

@@BobAquatic Thank You I'll do that, you've been very helpful
Do you have to have boots on the jetty?
