I came across this channel a few weeks ago and am stunned by how underrated your content is! It's one of the best channels I've ever watched. I really like how you aren't afraid to rework patterns so it suits you and the fibres you want to use. Your explanations are so precise and clear. Keep it up, I'll be looking forward to the next episode :)
Hiii! Omg that's so nice, thank you❤️😭 I am so glad you enjoy these videos! I feel like I spend so much time thinking about patterns and yarns and all things knitting so it's really nice to have an outlet to chat about it here - thanks so much for watching!!
Aw thank you! I do love that with knitting, you can generally frog and reknit using the same yarn - which is nice because not all crafts allow for reusing the raw material so that's super nice!
I too am making a terrazzo sweater and when I finished the 1st sleeve it was too tight - tore it out and went up a needle size and that was the trick - fits fine now🙂 Don't frog the whole sweater I think the color is beautiful on you!
I think you should definitely make a Seaway for yourself in that blue yarn! It's so your color, and the texture of the pattern will really elevate it and be such an eye catcher. Love your podcast and your knits! Wishing you happy holidays in case you don't post again before the new year.
I continue to be so amazed with all of your beautiful knits! I am knitting a sweater for the my husband for the first time right now! 🤞the fit turns out ok! The blue color looks stunning on you, whether you decide to frog or not. Thanks again for another awesome podcast!! And Happy Holidays!
Aw thank you for the kind words as always, Portia! Ooh exciting! Which pattern are you knitting for your husband? And thank you! Happy Holidays to you as well 🥰
The blood orange (yes, tangerine) color is striking on you. I’m currently knitting a MyFavThings sweater now. 26 in very similar color. In love even if the yarn I chose isn’t exactly drape-y like suggested yarn. And your brioche hat. 🥰
Delighted to see you're also making a CNY sweater! I'm thinking about either a red crew jumper (Spektakelstrik) or a slipover (feeling influenced by yours!), and am going to hold it "double" with metallic gold embroidery floss to mimic a 紅包. Looking forward to seeing what you make!
Hello! Ooh both good options!! And I loveee the idea of a red envelope sweater or slipover - red with gold thread is going to be so pretty! Super interested in seeing what you make too!
Hey, great video. Have a look for the Ruke cast off method. I recently made a cardigan with a k2 p1 rib. The pattern said to do the Ruke cast off so I had a look for it on RUclips. It's so easy and gives a lovely edge to the finished article. 😊
Ooh thanks so much for the recommendation - I had never heard of it before but just looked it up - that's super cool! I'll have to try it out, thank you!! 😊
Hi Ichi, I found that I don’t care for alpaca in hats. Its lack of memory doesn’t help it spring back into shape. I have used a lace weight alpaca with a superwash merino on a Lento sweater, and it’s really nice. Super soft. Your knitting is beautiful, as always. The orange looks fantastic on you! Enjoy the holiday season! 🧶🎄
That makes a lot of sense! This hat is superrrr slouchy. That alpaca/ superwash merion lento sounds so lovely and cozy though!! Thank you and hope you enjoy the holiday season as well! 🥰
The Kigi socks are so cool! I think I have to knit them - maybe as fingerless mitts so I could admire the stitch pattern on my wrists instead of having to look down at my ankles. Thank for sharing your knits with us!
Hi. I started watching your videos and I like them. Decided to start with episode one where you talk about your sensitivity for mohair. I have this same problem. By coincidence I combined a wool with a strand of Holst Titicaca, which is a 100% alpaca. It is thin and gives the same wooly softness and halo like mohair, but it is not so hairy. For me it became my favorite alternative for mohair and I just wanted to give you this tip.
Hello! Thanks so much for watching and thanks for the tip! Glad to know that you found an alternative that doesn't cause sensitivity like mohair - I would love to try Holst Titicaca, will keep an eye out for it!
Just found you and your podcast was a breath of fresh air from all the vlogmas videos!😅 I love knitting socks and you convinced me to try the FLk heel...lol
Aw thank you for watching! Haha nice, go for it!! I know everyone has different preferences for sock heels, but I think it's at least worth a try. I happen to really enjoy it - after taking some time to learn it, I just find it so fuss free while still fitting well!
I watch quiet a few knitting podcast, especially like yours but never comment or interact with videos. However, I found myself screaming at the computer when you mentioned frogging your blue terazo (?) sweater. Its so pretty on your skin tone! I think its very well made and looks wonderful. Do with it what you will but I vote to finish, well done either way!
Ah that's so nice, thank you so much for saying that! It's definitely kind of a bummer when you get so close to finishing a project and aren't sure that you love it. Really appreciate a second perspective though, so thank you!
Beautiful projects! Could you just get more yarn and finish the smaller Seaway for yourself? Would be a shame to rip it out especially if you are considering knitting one for yourself. For vibrant red mohair look into Filcolana Tilia in chinese red. It is an amazing colour and I find the Tilia even softer than KFO.
Aw thank you! Haha yes I totally did consider making another Seaway for myself! The only thing is idk if we could handle matching in such a hardcore manner 😂 Thanks for the recommendation for Filcolana Tillia! It really does look like the perfect color!
Ahh I feel like I need a red orange vest after watching your video 😆 it looks so great on you 👌🏻 may I ask where your necklace is from? It’s really pretty!
Aw thank you! You should totally go for it, I've been loving that vest! And I got the necklace from Madewell a few years ago! I did a quick search and I don't think the specific one is for sale anymore but it's called "ancient coin necklace" - I imagine they would put out something similar!
I think you should frog the sweater just because you aren't in love with it. It is still a beautiful color on you so I think you should still make some kind of sweater with it but it would be a shame to never wear it because you don't love it. I'm sorry that color wasn't what you wanted it sucks when that happens. I would get new yarn and save the other red yarn for another day.
Hello! Yessss I am def afraid that I'll never wear it even if I finish it so maybe the yarn is better suited for something else! Yup, the joys of online shopping for yarn ha...! At least it's still a nice color!

Have you got an Instagram? I'd love to chat further
I love how you make “lemonade” from “lemons”. Learning and rethinking mistakes-reworking to suit your vision is such a joy to watch. Thank you.
Aw thank you! I do love that with knitting, you can generally frog and reknit using the same yarn - which is nice because not all crafts allow for reusing the raw material so that's super nice!
The white hat with unfolded brim fits you more than the red one, especially color
Please don't frog your sweater. It looks so good on you. Love it
Aw thank you for saying that!

Oh good to know! Yeah I definitely wish the sleeve wasn't so tight. Thanks for the tip!

Thank you! It really reminds me of the ocean which is why I thought it would be apt! Happy holidays to you as well! 🥰
Yay you have great taste and technique knowledge . Just want to knit what you have!
Aw thank you so much!
Your pieces are stunning and look so good on you! Happy to find your channel ❤
Thank you so much! 🥰

OMG that's brilliant!! It would be so cute as a fingerless mitt!
That blue sweater, that colour looks so good on you.
Thank you! 😊
I actually do the same thing with my stitch markers.
Oh cool! Glad I'm not the only one haha 😂

Love the orange!! I’m working on pressed flowers socks with wabi sabi and orange flowers😊
Thank you! Ooh that sounds like a gorgeous color combination!!!
