she is backkkkk and she delivered ! Beautiful FOs as always but my jaw DROPPED when I saw that japanese kit !! What a project ! Can't wait to follow along your progress and thoughts on this one as you try all these new techniques. And the Noro/isager swatch is so dreamy, i say go with the champagne, it's one of my favourite cardis and i throw it on ALL the time this season! Can always do the No 8 with a different yarn later! And for editing, i completely understand dreading how long it can take, so it's a good idea to try and streamline or sacrifice some things to cut out on the time it takes! Then you won't put it off as much! For me the thing that I like the least is going out to get modelled photos so i try and make this process easier!
Hi Vanissia!!! I am so glad to be back, I had found myself podcasting in my head and figured it was definitely time to record an episode😂 Thank you for the champagne cardi vote of confidence! So glad to hear that you love yours. That's kind of what I'm leaning towards... knit the champagne, thennnn get more yarn for the cardigan no 8 😏 I will definitely keep this channel posted on the wall garden pullover - here's hoping I can make it through haha! And yesss I do need to streamline more aspects of editing. For this video, because the sun was setting, the light changed like crazy so I spent a ton of time attempting to color grade the footage... to a questionable amount of success haha but I tried! Your modelled photos are so great, and I know it must take a lot of time and effort!
great podcast, lovely knitting. The itch/scratch factor is real, in my next life I'm going to be insensitive to all the fibers!! I just bound off an Amy Slipover for my daughter and cannot wait to gift it to her for the holidays. I wish I'd seen your brown version before I knit mine, what a great color for such a versatile piece.
Thank you! Haha yes I can relate! Oh that's awesome, it will be such a nice gift! What color did you end up choosing? I feel like half the things I knit are brown... haha.
I used the Sandnes Garn Sunday and Tynn Silk Mohair in the Deep Petrol color. Very pretty but I have to say the mohair (like you said) isn't the softest and I hope it doesn't drive my daughter nuts or get caught in her chewing gum!! If I knit it again I will use a single strand of DK in that stunning orange red. Kudos to you for ripping out your ties to gain some yardage, hopefully you didn't do the tubular BO on the ties!!@@tangerineknits
Hi Marlene! I am glad that was useful! I just realized I forgot to mention in the video, but I did also have to adjust for row gauge by re-calculating the increase rate at the arm hole / neck as well. But drawing that out in a schematic made it not so confusing! Good luck with your project!!
So great to see you again! I love the color of the Cumulus blouse. Also love the sweater kit you got from Japan!! I got yarn with a pattern from Korea last month, and when I got home and did a google translate on it, I realized it just directs me to a video all in Korean, so definitely going to have to improvise on that one!😂 I brought a neck light for knitting on the plane which was super helpful, but was a little self conscious hoping it wasn’t disturbing to my seat mates. Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful knits!
Hi Portia!! So great to hear from you as always! Oooh that's super exciting to get a kit from Korea! Oof, I definitely wish I just spoke all of the languages reading patterns from other countries would not be an issue 😂 Hopefully the video is at least clear enough! A neck light is so smart. I didn't want to turn on the light at my seat because I felt like that would be too bright for those around me but I feel like a neck light would be a lot more contained! Hope you have a lovely trip to Korea!
I really like the colors of your Amy Slipover, Everlasting Pumpkin, and Vest No 2. Love the lace panel of your Gioia Cardigan. You make me want to knit a Cumulus Blouse!
Thank you Roshelle! Haha, I know the internet did not need another cumulus blouse advocater, but I couldn't help that I just liked it lol. It's a pretty quick knit though!
Ok I just finished watching! Great episode as always ❤ I love everything you knit, I wish i could knit all that you knit but I'm quite a slow knitter and can't keep up with all that I want to knit 😂 I was also super excited that you travelled to the UK and Japan, as I'm a Japanese living in the UK 😂 if you need any translating help with the pattern, do let me know!
Aw thank you so much for watching! Oh that's super cool, I had never been to the UK or Japan before this year and I was so excited to get to travel there this year. And thank you so much for the offer to help with the pattern! I really appreciate it and will definitely let you know!! ❤️
Sooo happy to see you back! OMG your Cumulus blouse is GORGEOUS! Those two yarns together are magic! And girl you are going to wear that red-orange slipover with EVERYTHING. It's probably my favorite knit now 🤭
Aw thank you so much!! ❤️ And I know right?? I feel like knowing I can blend yarn colors with a fluffy strand unlocked a whole dimension of yarn selection! And yayyy that's awesome that you are loving your slipover! I amso ready for this dose of color in my life!
This was a very nice episode! Loved the white cardigan (already forgot the name -_-) I think it would look amazing with dresses or blouses! Currently embroidering the Claudia cardigan with flowers for my little girl.
Aw thank you! It's the Gioia cardigan if that is helpful, I'm never sure if I'm actually pronouncing remotely correctly! Oooh I just looked up the Claucia cardigan and it's such a beautiful design! I love the sheer panels in the yoke - that will be so cute!!
Hi Yiqi, I’m so excited that you got the Wall Garden kit!! It’s gonna be an epic project! I used 4.5mm needles and regretted that I didn’t do 4.8 or 5. My sweater was a bit small and the colourwork made it even tighter. I ended up having loads of leftover yarn (for other projects so no complaint)! For a worsted weight wool cardigan, I recommend Zakkuri Cardigan and Kallias. They don’t have pockets but pockets are easy enough to add. I like the colour of your green cumulus blouse. It’s a very beautiful shade 💚
And I knitted the snowbell socks in the same color as you and wear it in my Birkenstocks too!! I knitted a bit longer so the lace is more visible even if I’m wearing boots!
Thank you Athena! I recently watched your podcast episode where you talked about your experience knitting the Wall Garden pullover (which was so so helpful and interesting by the way, so thank you for that!) It made me excited, intimidated, and encouraged all at the same time 😂 I am literally sitting with my two gauge swatches in front of me agonizing which needle size to use haha, so thanks for that tip! And thanks for the cardigan pattern recommendations! I had been eyeing the Zakuri but never seen the Kallias, they're both really cool designs! Tbh your beautiful purple Cardigan no 8 on ravelry is one of the reasons I am so hung up on that pattern even though I don't have the right gauge!
@@tangerineknits I actually gifted my purple Cardigan No.8 to my cousin during my visit last month! She is taller and lives in a colder place so it fits her better. I find Cadigan No.8 too thick in general but the deep V neck can’t keep my neck warm. It became a bit awkward for me to wear in Vancouver 😛. I freed up lots of space for new sweaters haha.
@@SeedlingStitch Oh haha, I'm sure that was a much appreciated gift then! That makes sense about the thickness vs. the v neck. It's nice to live in a climate that doesn't get too cold, but that does limit the wearability of chunky sweaters/cardis!
Loved this long episode! Your finished knits are gorgeous and I love your little pumpkin! You could make a matching potholder or trivet out of the rest of that yarn, could be a cute set to keep on the table through the rest of the fall! Your brown slipover is amazing and inspiring me to make something in a chocolate brown. Anyways, great podcast as always - can’t wait to see your what cardigan you choose to make with your Noro!
Thank you so much Svenja, I love watching your podcast so that means a lot! Oooh a matching potholder would be so cute! I'll have to look for some patterns, thanks for the suggestion!

Hi Jiqi! Nice to have a long episode from you! Youhave knit a lot! Here we hardly had any dry days since the beginning of October, it's grey, wet and windy most of the time, i enjoy any kind of weather usually but even I am craving some blue in the sky and a little sun shine now! 🍂🧡🌞
Hello!! Thank you so much for watching! Oh boy, that definitely sounds like the type of weather to get cozy under a blanket, but I'm hoping you'll get some blue skies and sunshine soon too!!
Such great makes! I hope you enjoyed your travels and made some lasting memories. I’m working on a test knit for PasleyKnits right now after just editing my latest podcast episode. You hit the nail on the head about filming being fun but dreading the editing. Editing is the thing holding me back from posting often. When I log off after work I really just want to relax, read, and knit. Not edit! 😂 But like you said, if we filmed more often, maybe the episodes would be shorter and therefore less editing time 😅. Excited to see what cardigan you make with the Noro and Isager combo. And I’m loving the blood orange KFO! Happy Knitting!
great video! I don't know if it's just me but I'm using ear phones while watching this video and the sound is comming out of only one of them (I was watching other videos previously and their sound was fine)
Thank you! And oh no! Hmm it is playing out of both ears on my ear phones, but there may be a slight echo where it's louder in one ear than the other ear at some parts? Thanks for letting me know though, I'll see if I can do anything about it next time!

Aw thanks so much!❤️ Glad it's useful! I know everyone's skin is different, but for me, it's next to skin soft after blocking!
