So glad to see your Wall Garden WIP!! BTW, make sure that your gauge is consistent for the front and back! My back panel ended up so much shorter than the front and I hand to add lots of short rows at the back ribbing to compensate… Not sure if you’d have the same issue. For the Japanese short rows at the shoulder, you can swap to GSR or any short row method you know. The end result is the same.
Oh thank you for the heads up, I'll have to keep an eye out! I wonder if the gauge is affected because one side has so much more color work than the other? But then I would have expected the side with more colorwork to have tighter gauge, so either way that's super interesting that this would happen - and short rows is a great fix! It was actually kinda fun to try the Japanese short rows, I liked the technique! Good to know swapping to other short row methods works too!
@@tangerineknits Normally colourwork should be tighter! I think I was in a nervous mood when knitting the back panel and somehow made it tighter. And then when I knitted the sleeves, I overcompensated and knitted super loose, although it’s also in stockinette!! My gauge was so weird for that project. Anyway, just try to be as consistent with the tension as you can 😂, and if anything else, you have short row at your repertoire to fix!
@@SeedlingStitchOh man! That is honestly super interesting that you are able to modulate your gauge!! I am definitely nervous when knitting this pattern haha so that's a good reminder to relax! And your sweater turned out so amazing in the end so it really all worked out!
Hello! Aw thank you so much for the kind words! I feel like I spent forever thinking through the fabric I wanted for this pattern and I'm glad it worked out! ❤❤
Loved the video! The Nola cardigan is going to be beautiful and I love how you’re using a lot of the Sandes Garn booklet for current WIPS! Your makeup looks lovely as well! Thank you 😁
lovely episode as always, so many interesting choices of projects, and so satisfying to see you make full use of the sandnes garn booklet lol ! An inspiration to us all !!
I am waiting on the provence top pattern coming out at the end of March, it may be too much structure for your mohair but i wanted to mention it because i think you would really like it! I am going to make it in lana gatto jean blue
@@Meirjolanknits Aw yay thanks for watching!! I just pinned up the zipper for the Gia and getting ready to sew it - this is the first time I am sewing in a zipper, so fingers crossed! Ooh I haven't seen the provence top yet! I'll have to keep an eye out! Thanks for the suggestion!
For the art inspired sweater, the Flower Power Pullover by Lindsay Degen could be a nice option. I am thinking of casting it on this spring after I saw it on Brookwillow's podcast!
Ooh you are actually the second person who's suggested that pattern !!! It is definitely a gorgeous design! I took a look on ravelry and looks like someone's even knitted a cardigan version too👀thanks for the suggestion!
Thank you so much! I have been carefully dipping my toes into knitting with mohair haha but now that I have found mohair yarns I like, I am really enjoying working mohair into at least some of my knits!
Of course - it's Magpie Knits and the shop is lovely! It has been about a month or so since I last went (and got the cowgirl blues yarn), so might be worth checking with the store about their current inventory!
Hello! I used the Chiaogoo 2" & 3" TWIST Short Combo set! It was my first time trying this type of short circulars so I wanted to try this interchangeable version which has different needle lengths and cable lengths. I think in the future I could also get away with just a fixed 12 inch circular which costs less!

Your yarn choice for the Jules is so so beautiful! Makes it such a special piece and completely transforms the pattern. Super inspirational! ❤❤

I am also interested in mohair only recommended patterns. If you made a video compiling all of the suggestions that would be amazing!

Gia is also on my wishlist! Really fun to find a YT knitter with my taste haha!

That red of your sweater looks great on you. I too haven’t knit too often with mohair but I still like it and I’ll still be using it!

Hi! How many Noro balls did you use for the champagne cardigan? Hoping to cast this on myself ☺️
Hello! I used almost all of 4 balls of the noro silk garden sock solo for my size!
would you mind sharing the name of your local yarn shop that carries the Cowgirl Blues?
Of course - it's Magpie Knits and the shop is lovely! It has been about a month or so since I last went (and got the cowgirl blues yarn), so might be worth checking with the store about their current inventory!
Thanks for sharing! What shorti needles did you use for the sleeves?
