Both are beautiful! It's the first time I'm loving the look of a cruise ship. I guess it's because of how the bow looks. There's just something about those bows that looks like knife cutting through waters. I'd say Icon is the modern Titanic.
Titanic cut corners when it didn’t have to. They literally made the opposite of the Ship they advertised because they cut corners and somehow were able to override the ARCHITECT OF THE damn Ship… If you woulda done everything Mr Andrews said you would still be around today…This factors in to me not thinking that it’s a “Grander” Graceful ship… if you were so graceful you would have chose to not fuck up to save not even pennies probably and you would still be here. What kind of Grace only lasts for 4 days before being Swallowed by the Atlantic Ocean bringing untimely death to people who would think that this would have been the LAST place that they actually die…. there is nothing pretty about that scenario and or backround…. Just sayin.. but thats real life facts regardless of how we wanna honor and treasure it today… the final say fucks were some sloppy fools and it cost them EVERYTHING… that’s just bad business

yes, titanic looked better, but it was meant for luxury, and at this point in time, cruise lines have realized that if you are on the ship, it doesn’t matter what it looks like from on board as long as it is pleasing from where the guests and passengers are. they are in it for the money and not the looks at this point. although i can’t go without saying the icon may look ugly at first but if you take a moment to realize just how much thought and complexity was put into it, it is truly astonishing.
It's too bad that ocean liner travels are not as popular as they were then. I know aircraft wasn't invented in the beginning of the 20th century but too bad ocean liner crossings when traveling to other countries isn't popular nowadays
I don't know if I would consider the Titanic the "Queen of The Ocean", but she was certainly "The Ship of Dreams." The Queens of the Ocean would be Cunard's Queens: both Queen Mary (and 2 for the modern day), and Elizabeth. The QE2 would be considered one too. Both the Queen Mary and the QE2 can still be seen today😁
I love your work! Since the Olympics class shed speed for luxury, she's completely outclassed in every way. Could you do one comparing the Icon to the true Greyhounds RMS Lusitania or RMS Mauretania.
Good God will there ever come a day when people will wake up and stop comparing every other ship to the Titanic?????????? There have been literally hundreds of larger ships than Titanic constructed since 1912.

Icon's passengers view the ocean like some of Titanic's crew members, who happend to get a glimpse of the view from on top of the fourth funnel
Icon may dwarf the Titanic in size, but the Titanic actually looks nice, the Icon is ugly like most modern cruise ships.
