Join me today on the world's largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas in one of the best suites onboard. I'll show you exactly what i'ts like from the 8 different neighbourhoods onboard, to the luxury suites available (yes I take a look at the ultimate family townhouse!) and some of the 20+ restaurants.
We'll be taking star class today, so not only do we have almost everything included, but access to the most amazing Royal Genie, Anna.
However as usual, this is fully self funded so be sure to see my brutally honest opinion on everything. Full details on how I booked this and a cost break down are included in the video.

Thanks all for watching, next time we're back on the rails onboard a particularly special journey through Asia 🚂
So the next video is train ride
This was one of the best episodes to date - just keeps getting better and better!!!
I have never heard of Moët pronounced using ‘T’ - always a silent ‘T’ from my neck of the woods 😊
PS The hard T in Moet is because it isn't a French word, it is Flemish after the founder, hence the ë accent
Excellent video. Lots of fun to watch from cold Canada 🇨🇦
I understand this is rated highly but i am absolutely floored at the additional add on charges.
the world we live in though. 'microtransactions of the cruise ship'
Agreed! Some of additional charges are truly shocking!
The multitude of overpriced snacks, ice cream, and activities are an insult and very offensive. Disgusting.
350 dollars for probably an hour on that surf thing is ridiculous
Yea cheaper to get a flight and go somewhere then a cruise ship
It’s insane to me that at such a high price point, you’re still charged for some of the dining options!
And you don't even get windows 🤦♂Why would anyone do it?!
More money than brains 🧠 😂
@petek5523 you may have missed the point of this channel mate
@@Maisonikkokufan nah, I get it he’s doing it for the views. I wasn’t implying he’s got more money than brains, but anyone who books these outrageous cruises do. Savvy, mate?
@@bagpussmacfarlan9008 but it is themed as a NYC supper club no need for outside views.
99.9% of people watching this will never be able to afford this.
Well done Trek 😂
agree
Ven if I can I won t . Way too many people on board!
You can afford the ticket. Its the extra charges on board that will set you back
Im able to afford it i went on it January 😅
Carnival that simple been on 16 of them
This would be absolute hell for me. Dress codes, enclosed spaces, crowds, prices. It would feel like living in a mall that you can't leave.
Royal Caribbean just upcharged me to watch your video! 😂
😂
😆😆
😂 Fr these prices are absurd
I was bamboozled as well. When i click on the promotional email it says 3.5k but when i click smthg else n go back to the same itinerary, it became 4.5k

Your videos are the best for travel. You don’t sugar coat anything and actually tell the truth, unlike other travelers who are in the pocket of the airlines, cruise ships, etc…
You make it sound like there’s evil afoot, lol. I’m sure you know the realities of people not having all the funds (yet) to pay for their own and still have this be paid work
This looks like hell on earth. I'd be absolutely livid with the price of everything.
Totally, and there’s no escape!
Are you dumb or just poor because that ride is heaven
@sam_packer8968 you just poor
Sure is but why are you watching it then?
Maybe a person can reach a level of income where prices on goods are never really that noticeable. Even if they were to increase by 100%.
The drone footage of the ship from above is PHENOMENAL
It’s a selfie stick with the stick digitally erased

Ive watched probably a dozen icon videos from the big travel vlogs. This is by far the best laid out video. Although many commenters complain about the cost, you're the only one to show an icon experience as a suite level guest
Brother from across the pond, thanks for posting!!! I love your videos... that being said, Royal Caribbean does a great job making normal people feeling like 2nd class folks! I have been cruising for 24 years. I am a blue collared worker who does what I can to provide a decent vacation for my family. Cruising used to be great, making everyone on board feeling like royalty! Now, they cater to the wealthy and make everyone else feel like 2nd class people! My last cruise was on the allure of the seas last year. It will be my last cruise. This video proves why! My cruise cost me 2100 dollars to book... we had a balcony family stateroom. 4 of us... the feeling on the ship was like we were unwanted because we were not of the desired class. This video shows me that royal caribbean has doubled down and flat prevented the middle class from even getting on the boat! I have been on 15 cruises, all but one was royal caribbean, and it is sad what has happened to these experiences!
I mean this is a channel where he shows us what the upper class options are. RC are definitely among the most $$$ of the cruise lines but there certainly still are slightly more affordable options. This is just not the right RUclips channel to research said options.
Not just RC doing this. Every major company is trying to appeal to the wealthy by price gouging. Cars, trucks, electronics, hotels, cruises. restaurants, flights. It is everywhere. The pandemic showed that even when things are scarce there is still a demographic who will buy regardless. That is who they want as customers. To add, those workers live in the hot, cramped bowels of that ship for months at a time. Most really don't care who you are or what you do for a living. But for those premium services, the guest facing employees must be extra courteous.
RCCL is definitely getting ridiculous with the cost of cruising! We are finding MSC cruises a better deal lately. They matched my Hilton Honor Loyalty level so now I’m Diamond on MSC!
Good to know! RC will be off my list of any considerations going forward.....
Lucky for you there are plenty of other ships for you to cruise on.
The thing I love most about Will and Millie is that they're not this over the top travelling couple that does too much to convince us they're in love
absolutely agree. And what a delight that they don't use one of those artificial voices.
considering they spent 31,000 for a cruise.. I would say that is over the top...this is not the experience the general passenger would have. I would prefer a video about that.
@Bradgilliswhammyman
It is not over the top if you can afford it. He obviously can, and he is not an average traveler. Doing that will be pandering to opinion to get views. Let s just enjoy it till we all can afford it.. i love his videos
This ship is one of those jaw dropping feats of engineering that will likely be talked about a century later. Thanks for documenting it so well! It is so impressive 🎉
This ship will be scuttled and dismantled in under 30 years fool, it's crap like everything else built these days.
There can always be something bigger
This guy has the best job ever. He has a beautiful partner. Loves his mum and just is always a class act.
He loves his dad too.
right. travel year around and u'll see. hardest job ever. i bet he hates all food and people. millie is the only sunshine:)
What are you, his brother?
I love it when Millie comes along with you. It's good to see her enjoyment of these trips.
19:18 LOL, this reminded me of the scene in the movie Pulp Fiction when Travolta said "It's milk and ice cream. It's five dollars? And they don't put bourbon in it or nothing?"
No matter how long, I always want to see more! Thank you for taking us along on a trip I'll never be able to take, except virtually!
By the way, I gobble these videos up, watching some over and over... just love them all, but don't often comment..
Most cruise ships, even the hulkingly large ones, still have a certain aesthetic elegance about them this one looks like someone said ‘let’s take the absolute worst aspects of the Vegas strip and put it on a boat.’
If that wasn’t enough, the nickel and dime approach to chiseling their customers really was a bit of a turnoff. It won’t be long before you will have to pay $2 to use the toilet, $1 for toilet paper, $1.50 for soap and water to wash your hands and a $5 tip to be let out of Kafka of the Seas public restrooms. If I was on that ship, I’d feel weirdly compelled not to leave my room.
That said, the video production was absolutely top notch and I always appreciate living vicariously through your many adventures. :)
It's like a Vegas resort on sail. I love it!
But also the worst part is the new Vegas business model: almost everything is overpriced.
Millie is my fashion icon I'm always in awe of her outfits !!
Welcome back Millie. Always great to see you join Will on his travels.
Wow! An amazing ship, you certainly did a great job covering all the highlights. So nice to see Millie again, thanks for sharing your journey. 🇨🇦
I loved Millie's attire the entire trip! 💜
A black dress masterclass
I think I’ve watched every video you’ve ever posted, really enjoy your balanced content. Do you realise how much better your videography has got…. It’s very impressive 👏👏
Lovely episode as always, Millie and Will. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: I really do appreciate you taking us on your journey and sharing the experience. All the camera work and editing afterwards..I hope you guys had enough time left to enjoy the trip. Cheers ❤
I'm happy Millie was able to join you on this wonderful trip. The ship is huge, very huge. Definitely an adventure.
This was by far the best video tour and introduction to the Icon of the Seas. I could really get a sense of the ship and amenities.
I love the way you narrate and story tell. Great work
Oh, so great to see you on here. I find this ship just so so impressive.
I spent most of last year living on cruise ships, but none of them were anything like this - it's amazing how this thing can float!
It's crazy you're already at almost a million subscribers! Been enjoying your videos for awhile now, early congratulations on a million! What a milestone!
I actually genuinely agree with you.
Love love love when Millie gets to join on your adventures!
I really appreciate this video since you were brutally honest on the cost. Whether included in your package or not, 99% of the people can't afford what you showed. I've been watching your vids for a while. This one probably tops the chart where you mention cost a lot. I'm sure you are pretty charged about it. Anyway, thank you and keep your commentary rolling.
Love the video and thanks for all the info. You have given me more info than others travel agents have. Keep it up.
Thank you for this. I know that during my lifetime, I may not be able to afford such an amazing trip, but watching almost all of your videos, takes me right into it. Absolutely breathtaking!❤
I love the fact that Millie has always been responsible for the elevator. Always on point
Charging that much for a milkshake, they should rename the cruise line “Pirates of the Caribbean”!!!
So thankful for trek trendy. These videos made up my mind for me- virgin voyages fits what I want the most. Also did anyone else notice where the hideaway is adult only but you can book a daybed for a child?
Just found your channel because the title sounded so interesting to me.. As a big fan of the Vegas hotels with themes, I found the different hoods to be cool like that.. I really loved your tour, the food, the different places on the ship.. Editing extremely well done! Thanks for the tour.. Looks like you two had a FABULOUS time! Cheers.
Some of these prices are absolutely insane, who would pay $400 dollars for a sunbed or $700 for a cabana...per day
You’re on a $35k cruise though. So if the sunbed mattered to you you’re looking at an additional $2800 for a reserved sunbed for the week.
Still expensive, but I get it.
@@tomd5180 standard cabins though aren't anywhere near $35k..
Anyone who can afford it
A mad man
That ship was expensive to build, theyr'e trying to make there money back as fast as possible.
This is the best video EVER of Icon of the Seas! I am definitely giving you a follow with all notifications turned on. This video gets me even more excited about my sailing on her April 20th. ❤
The add on charges were astronomical! So good to see Millie! Thanks Will for another great trip!
Wow that looks amazing. Thanks again for the great video.
Well done keep up the good work ❤
Your videos are great and because I’m a self employed Travel Consultant, I find them extremely helpful.
Consult your customers to never go on this ship.
This guy is the Shmee150 of travel. Love the videos, always excellent content! Keep it up “Tim”
Haha love this 😂
He totally is!
Been waiting for this. The ship is huge.
Exciting. Welcome Millie.
i just went on my first cruise, had the upgrade otion and thought of this channel (totally cannot afford it- but did it anyway ) . long time watcher. I had a blast (it was shiprocked - same day departed i think - we hit the peer in Ochos Rios) I heard your voice editing my entire triptrip .. LOl love ya . love the channel
If you are paying 30k, for four days you shouldn't have to pay anything else you should be able to order anything you want..
cruise looks absolutely unreallll 🤯🤯

Thanks! Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves. Love when you do Cruises!
Awesome video Will, I'm really enjoying your honest reviews. Especially when you do a trip with Millie, as it mirrors how my wife and I travel.
30k just to still get up charged for things is absolutely crazy
Ive been waiting so long for this! Finally! Thank you so much for this video!
I watch the long documentary on the building of this huge cruise ship. What an amazing experience watching you taking us on a tour of this beautiful ship
I'm experiencing cognitive dissonance due to the scale of this ship. I cannot process walking onto a vessel that looks like a shopping mall inside. The fact that you cannot see through to the other side on the grande/royal promenade is totally disorienting.
25 DOLLARS FOR A DAMN PHOTO
Wow! What an incredible adventure on the world's largest cruise ship! You've captured all the highlights so well. Thanks for sharing your amazing journey with us! 🚢😊
Millie is exquisite! Love seeing her on the channel! The video was incredibly well done. Thanks for the hard work.
Bro has enough money to pay off my house.
This looks like hell on earth ! And an absolute rip off for poor poor quality ! Rather have my arm off than go on this .
Ooooh my wow! So beautiful I saw a lot of people posting all about Icon of the Seas so nice. Thank Yuit for show us.
Great video. I love watching these types of videos. Keep up the great content that you keep giving us
Not worth the price point
I would never ever get on a cruise ship even if you paid me 100,000. To me this looks like a nightmare.
I was thinking a few days ago we hadn't heard from your channel for awhile and then this beauty of a video drops!
This was a very thorough review. Always enjoy seeing you with your partner and your great unbiased reviews. Thanks again Trek Trendy. 😊
You slept like a baby or you tried to make a baby? Cause I always sleep better after.
I don’t get the big boat cruise thing. Good way to drain your wallet.
Almost a million Will. Proud of you mate, I often give you a hard time in the comments but it's always love.... your videos are amazing. :)
I really enjoyed this cruise along with you and Millie. It was almost like being there. The opulence is mind blowing and i will never be able to actually do this but watching you was exciting and i loved it.
Ripoff of the Seas.
Always look forward to seeing your videos.. you both look great together.. keep them coming.
Your video was great as always, but the highlight for me is when Millie is with you and I get to see all her fabulous clothes. She has an excellent sense of style as do you.
The menu looks phenomenal, no, Millie looks phenomenal! Love your vids, but especially glad to see Millie again!
BRILLIANT narration and videography!! We were also on the inaugural voyage of ICON on January 27th … we didn’t make it to the Empire supper club so really appreciate your course-by-course narration … subscribed!! Keep up the great work!! 🤩
Thats badass they have the Wizard of Oz for entertainment! Thats on my bucket list. This trip looks amazing! Thanks for taking us along
You are on point here, Trek. Millie is the highlight of this video - thanks for sharing!
what a great video.. just went on the wonder of the seas and i thought that was amazing... cant wait to see this one
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now, popping in here & there. This has to be the most organized review of Icon of the Seas. Even tho the review was from a “suite” perspective you provided a great view of the neighborhood layouts. Only thing missing was a review from Millie on the spa, setup. I enjoyed the intentional time spent reviewing the entertainment venues. Nice camera work & editing❗️ 0:03
The large handwashing station in the lobby of the buffet is a great idea.
Always in awe at the shots you're able to get and the editing. The most expensive rooms being unoccupied and available for review is not surprising.
When I saw the news about this ship being released to serve, I knew that u will make a video about it and I was excited about that, it looks like a very fun ship to be onboard!
Loved your black dress Millie❤
The evening shows all looked fantastic!
My kids would be heaven if they stayed in the family townhouse😮
Thankyou for another amazing video -we will watch it again in the morning once the kids are up😊😂xx
It really is a floating city, but having said that you wouldnt have to leave your room in some cases. I did not know ships like this existed, having never been on a cruise ship only a large overnight sleeper. Millie is looking beautiful as usual and you both make a lovely couple. I said to hubby, you would never be hungry. The food options are amazing.
Thank you for the tour and experience Will. 🤩❤️🇦🇺🦘
I’ve seen at least 10 people do reviews on the icon, but it was Trek’s review that I was waiting on! 👌💯
Thank you for your story! This is amazing!
Greetings from Germany and thank you for your wonderful videos 🎉❤
How lovely to see Miss Millie! For the price you paid Everything should have been included. Thank you for sharing.
Keep it up mate. Great video!❤
Just spent 80hrs on the World's Largest Cruise Ship 🛳 and it was beyond amazing! 😍 From the jaw-dropping amenities to the breathtaking views, every moment felt like a dream! Can't wait to set sail again! ⚓🌊
Thank you for the tour and your review!
Fascinating. But how do both of you manage to stay trim with such food? Despite a cruise like that not being my cup of tea,it was delightful to watch. Thank you so much for posting the video.
Another fantastic feature length video. Given that most people will never afford an experience like this, thank you for sharing with us Will!
I always love to see Millie in the episode! Amazing show as always!
This was an amazing video. Thank you for sharing . I wanted to know about your gear hat you use for recording as well. It looks pristine .
This ship looks like a once in a lifetime experience, not my lifetime but other’s lifetimes. 💚💚
Millie looks absolutely gorgeous 🤩. I love her outfit 💕. The two of you are a class act.
another great vid from trek trendy with the glamorous millie, good work keep grinding my king I watch your vids as soon as they come out with my own millie waiting in my cave
Love you videos , keep making them x
Amazing cruise Ship! Thank you very much for sharing!
Love your videos bro! Enjoy 🎉
I was surprised as a model to be in a resort/cruise type production one time. All the male model guys got along with the music and other performers very well. It was all really well produced. We had odd little roles/duties but in the end I found that the photos were for a male pin up type calendar. My point, tho, is that the entertainment was well organized and as she says “west end level.” The best part was I got paid to be on vacation and the calendar was just a good souvenir. Now that I’m older my only regret of modeling was not keeping all the things I was part of. Once in a while I’ll still see an ad or my pic in the strangest places but I’ll always remember that cruise/calendar thing as one of the best.
Hey Will, new subscriber here. This was fascinating to me. This ship was huge! I used to work on a very small (crew compliment 15, max guest compliment 60) cruise ship in Alaska. Our ship was like 1/30th of this ship's size.
Knowing what I know and what can happen, I said I would never go on a cruise. But this ship has me changing my mind.
The amenities are staggering and your review and portrayal of it are well done. Thanks.
😇
