I love the mega liners, this might be a bit much but I wouldn’t pass up sailing on it.
I worry about the crowd too, but we'll try it to see how it is.

They light up the cabins along the side of the ship to spell Icon of the Seas. So does that mean if you're in one of those cabins, they turn on all the lights and you've got no choice?
It’s just the inaugural sailing so they probably had a heads up before just for departure. inaugural sailings are going to be different then any other sailing so this is the only time they’ll do it but as soon as they pulled out of port completely past land they turned them off.
Gosh hope they do turn off those lights once they are out to sea. Looks like it belongs in Los Vegas

At the moment it's just staff and press onboard. It's a fun little thing now, but they wouldn't inconvenience passengers to do that during normal sailing!

I can't wait for my next sail. Definitely going to book icon. Or maybe Stars so i can ve one of the first on that one lol
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I really don’t like the design of Icon. I know she’s a massive ship but she just has weird proportions and I’m really not a fan. I much prefer smaller ships in Royal’s fleet like the Freedom Class
Sometimes people say what's bigger the better than something that's simple.
It’s your opinion! Its ok!! It’s a huge ship….i will be going on it soon….but i think i prefer the smaller ones…..they feel more intimate! But I’ll see!! Looking forward to trying this one out this week!
Still can’t get used to that new design in the bow. I know it’s what modern ships are starting to use now but I like the traditional bow shape so much more.
The ship may look ugly for some, but she's a BEAUTY to me. The ship is not the only thing that makes a cruise, but the magnificent service we receive from the outstanding staff and great food!

The Gem was wayyyyy better than the Joy. Joy had such a SMALL pool. For over 4000 passengers.Gem had way more to do on deck. So many activities to do.
I’m hoping this ship is better than wonder of the seas. The service on it could not handle the capacity of too many people. Now this ship even has way more people and still low staff
Everyone is talking about the beauty of the ship. It's beautiful indeed. Can you imagine the staff having to feed, entertain, and clean up after 10,000 guests every night?! 😮

What a monstrosity .... who designed this whale? The interiors ? Suddenly Royal Caribbean is looking more like Carnival .... I've never sailed on anything larger than the Liberty of the Seas and even on that ship, the walking distance sometimes became very irritating. However, clearly my opinions aren't shared by all as they continue to build these vessels and fill them with eager passengers. Happy Sailing Icon of the Seas; in the days of the past let me say, "God bless this ship, & all who sail in her."
