I had recently met the coach himself at a local affiliate where he gave a lecture against big soda. He had even partnered with then an aspiring politician now, House of Representatives for California Nanette Barragán. Listening to a millionaire CEO speak about health issues that plague my community (chronic disease) and getting people rallied together was a very powerful moment. Cheers to all the trainers and affiliate owners wok enough to follow the big picture.
I remember hearing Coach say something to the effect that CrossFit should be done growing after its put all the dialysis centers out of business. That's my goal as a trainer. Not to make a games athlete but to put the local dialysis center out of business.
I support this message in its entirety. Just one criticism, would've liked to see the same ratio in the saturated vs sugar mentions in the 2017 CDC report. But for criminal vs doctor.
Hi all. There as a while this podcast was available on the iTunes podcast app. However, it seems to have been removed (all the other ones are still there). Any ideas why?
Is the crossfit podcast also available on Stitcher?? I can't find it on there. Would like to listen to it while commuting, so RUclips isn't the best thing to chose.
chilledmonkeebrains You only need to do a simple google search for "what the health review" to find a lot of criticisms of the movie, including misleading information, cherry-picked data, scare tactics, and outright lies. It's basically a thinly-veiled piece of pro-vegan propaganda. Don't let it confuse you.
chrisgblues it's so stupid, I have no issue with vegans from a conscience point of few, the meat industry has been proven to be cruel. However they then try to push a conscience decision as a health decision. Humans are designed to eat meat, no argument. Whether the process in which we get meat is healthy is definitely debatable, but doesn't mean we shouldn't search for a clean meat sources. And I can't find any evidence that a vegan diet can work without supplementing, which is probably the first sign it not the diet of design.

What coach Glassman speaks about at the beginning aligns perfectly with NASM OPT integrated training philosophy and model.
I really enjoyed listening the Greg, I'd love to hear more from him in the future
