    a little focus on your weaknesses, makes your strengths better. We've had great accomplishemtns and improvements with our program, 1 day of lifting/accessory pure, 1 day of aerobic (mixed modality-bike, row, run) pure, and 3 days of Crossfit. It takes consistency.

    It is interesting to see the contrast in personalities between Chris H. and Brian Mckenzie. Both are amazing endurance athletes and coaches but Chris H. has that much more humble attitude while Brian is bit more matter of fact/my way or the highway. Something that would have been interesting to know is if Chris pushes the Pose running technique as much as Brian does.

    • @jp2135744
      @jp2135744 8 лет назад

      McKenzie isn't really that good. I like how serious Chris is; like if you you're a filthy casual he has no respect for you. My kinda guy.

    • @ldlearg
      @ldlearg 8 лет назад +1

      No he doesn't. The focus is on the aerobic capacity rather than run form. Obviously good to focus on both but sometimes you have to focus on one over the other first. If the athlete is already at a high level and can handle that volume it makes sense to focus on the capacity. If they're not as experienced or get beat up with run volume it makes more sense to refine the technique first.

    Hi guys, great videos! I have a quick question; would you suggest athletes to take fish oil supplements? I've been told 1000 mg of dha and epa is a good amount to consume daily and fish oil supplements are a good way of getting it. Studies vary so I am curious for your input. It would be very appreciated, thanks!

  • @jacobbender9900

    Anyone interested in discovering what their true training zones are, for creating truly specific adaptions, check out Moxy Testing. VO2Max tests should be replaced by Moxy Tests without question. Your performance is a product of how your use Oxygen on a cellular level, Moxy is Muscle Oxygen Saturation testing. Pacing is something that needs to be practised and understood on a personal level, but are you pacing in a zone above, below, or perfectly within your capacity? God Speed The Workers

    Very curious your thoughts what is the best cardio training for overall health and longevity for older population 40-60 years old? Is 2-3 times a week slow intensity better or maybe 1 session slow and one more hit style ? As well what's the best formula for max heart rate and slow cardiac output rate ?

    Why does he say if you want to get better at running a certain pace you" have to practice that pace*. But if you want to get better at bench press ( his example) you don't have to bench for 3 months and you can come back and PR.

    I achieved 16:07 on a treadmill last week and I am training for a 5k competition. I normally do lots of HIIT (minimum 3 times a week). I do 2 sessions a day. During my lunch break 5k tempo run and in the evening i normally do HIIT (10x400 at 21km/h +). I started doing 5-6x1k at 3 min pace twice a week. I used to do long runs but i find HIIT so much more beneficial - my overall performance improved exponentially, my testosterone level skyrocketed as well. So I kind of disagree with your advice after 17:00 min.

  • @StephenAKatz
    @StephenAKatz 2 года назад

    It would never occur to the camera operator to show two people speaking to each other, and not move the camera.Oh, no, the camera operator has to show one person alone, then swing the camera to the other person, then swing the camera to the first person, etc. And each time, the camera is too close to the speaker.
    That technique makes the chronically stupid camera operator feel important. It does nothing for the viewer.

    Also, using the zoom lens is truly pathetic. The camera operator thinks it makes her important, but it just looks stupid, pointless, and artificial.
