Matt was not kidding when he said they have a lot of pretty pissed off songs on this one, this is the heaviest one in their Alex Bent era. Now it's hard for me to pick which is the best Trivium album yet, I am a huge fan of Shogun but the Alex Bent era albums have been pretty goddamn consistent
Nothing beats shogun for me but I'll never be the type of person to say "new trivium sucks" cause it definitely does not. These guys rock as hard as ever

I just discovered Trivium last year. Damn it’s been a wild ride since dead men and it keeps going.
In the same boat as you for how long I've been a fan. Heard of Trivium from a teacher in high school during 2019 and after searching for them myself, I've been hooked ever since.

You are entering in a Golden Era. Trivium are at a whole new level now. As you explore the back catalogue, appreciate the individual strengths of each album, even though you will prefer some over others. It took some experimenting to get to where we are now and each ingredient had a different flavour.

One day, iron maiden, priest, Metallica, exodus, queensrche, megadeth, and overkill will call it quits. They can't be around forever unfortunately. And hell we've already lost dio, motorhead and sabbath retired.
When that day comes, thank God we have trivium to fill their shoes. This is one of the finest metal albums ever produced. Trivium just keeps getting better and I'm striving for more
