Gets heart broke. Discovers this song..... 'Omg, I was in love with a Catastrophist' I love singing this song. Thank you to Trivium AGAIN for helping me get it out when I need to!
Amazing how we can relate a song anything going on in our lives as the long as the music behind the lyrics is good. In this case, even the lyrics are on point. Personally, this song gives me hope everyday for the things that I want to achieve in life. That's what my interpretation of this song is.
This isn't "Sin and the Sentence," or "Betrayer," (the pre-releases iirc?) but it's solid. And they've kept Alex Bent too, so I'm super stoked for this album!
The drums in this song are absolutely insane! Love the rest of the instruments as well as the vocals of course but Alex really our did himself! Great song!
Guys, gotta say this... I fricken love it!! I'm glad you kept Alex on board. He is amazing, and exactly what you deserve. Matt. Rock on bro! You're music go me through so much throughout my life, and now it's doing the same.
For a moment I thought that was Alice in Chains album art(Black gives way to Blue) great record btw. Trivium you are still a towering monument among the other metal acts in this vast cookie cutter genre.\m/
From the tracks, I think we are seeing a potent and deadly mix of all the best things from all the first four albums except with more progressive elements. Tho it is certainly not trying to be Shogun 2.0, this is still shaping up to be one of the best Trivium albums to date since their triumphant return with The Sin and The Sentence.
Had my Spotify on random shuffle for new metal songs of 2020.. listened to this and my initials thoughts throughout songs were 0:00 - 0:26 Arch enemy, 0:26 - 0:50 Stone Sour? especially the singing (yes the guitars sound nothing alike SS), 0:50 - 1:01 not Stone Sour for sure, 1:01-1:28, maybe KSE?? singing could potentially be Jesse, chord progression reminded me of End of Heartache, but ik its not KSE..1:28-1:38 Arch enemy riffing, not Alissa singing, then after 1:38 did i realize it was Matt Singing because of his inhale lol and the tone of the guitar further confirmed that it was indeed Trivium. Damn his singing has certainly improved! Great song as well.
I am legit going to buy a 7 string guitar purely to learn Trivium songs such as this, I've already been learning a portion of it on my 6 string so far
Gets heart broke.

What an anthem. Tremendous!
This is my favourite song on the album. Matt has one of the best voices in music and the instrumentation is perfect
Agreed 🤟😆🤩

@@Sawyer48532 no he isn’t Alex bent uses a double bass. There’s something called technique which lets him use the pedals way faster.

If I didn’t know who trivium was, I would have bet money that this was a stone sour song
Bobby Mullin guitars do not sound remotely like Stonesour.
The fuck are you on.
Hehe! 😅 What? 🤣
This comment has got to be a fucking joke, right??!

Sounds like Corey ngl
Thought so too for a bit :D
@1904 18 sounds like corey ngl
Está muito longe disso.
Play at 1.5 x speed, sounds like Ascendancy lol
sorta haha. Pretty cool
Who here heard this song on the LEC?
I was surprised by that, but I do thank them for letting me know about this song.
5:15 pff
Tuning for this on a six string guitar?
Impossible. It's a 7 string song tuned Bb to Eb. You would have to try adapt a portion of the playing.
I managed to do it. Thanks!
Whats the tune?
A#D#G#C#F#A#D#
song dedicated to all the Jezebels out there
If thats the voice of sell out Corey Taylor I'm done with Trivium
That's Matt Heafy singing. He actually has incredible clean vocals.
Why would corey be singing?
piss off sounds nothing like Corey Taylor, plus he sounds like shit anyway. Matt has better vocals hands down.
Hey don't shit on corey just cause ya'll dislike him!
ok boomer..goodbye 👋
