You know its going to be good when the video is under 4 minutes
It’s 6.5... Anything in 6.5 is going to slam a 1,100 test lol
I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to super mega fucking like a comment before. Here it is
He also only had to hit each target once, which I’m guessing probably assisted in the speed of the video.
true that!
A stock gun making first round impacts at 1,000? Good job Ruger, nicely done.
I love how concise and efficient these videos are. This one isn't even 4 minutes long and they barely talk, but in the end you know exactly what you need to know about that rifle.
There’s nothing to talk about because the rifle just works lol
How many misses we're edited out?
@@mattrobinson5099 Considering that they have made videos with Henry missing like 15 times, none.
Keep this intro and never change it 🔥🔥
It was bad ass.
I've got this gun and man I'll tell ya.. The accuracy is legendary and the recoil is almost non existent
I have this rifle as well and she’s brilliant! 147 grain Hornady is her favourite. Zero recoil. For a box rifle it’s fantastic. I have the .308 as well but it shoots minute of barn.
Well I mean its 15 pounds and has a break on it so yea.😂 I have a howa 1500 (still dream to get a rpr in .338 but the ammo is madly expensive) in 6.5cm and i love it
I have it in .308 with a Vortex Viper 6.5x20x50 scope. Cerakote in dessert tan.
And i have the Valdada on my 6.5x284, and it is a great scope
@Tyrannicaltech sorry? Explain please.
My god! You blasted through that course. You made that Ruger look like a $15,000 rifle.
How much does it really cost?
@@Schrodingers_kid Just got back from the gun store. They have this exact rifle for 1298$ plus tax. Add about another 2600$ for the scope and rings.
@@peaceprayer595 yep, that scipe is crazy overpriced
@@peaceprayer595 That's coolNot often you can see rifle that is that accurate and has okay price
@@taylorbell3213 It isn't overpriced, scopes like that from experince are insanely clear and its far easier to spot and acquire what your looking for or going to shoot at even extreme ranges 1000-2000 yards, however 1000-2000 is more 50. cal range, but most long range is done by 6.5 creedmore, 338 lapua, 408 cheytach, 416 barret, 50 cal and so on. This means besides being the clearest scopes possible they also have to be insanely precise, down to about 10,000th of a inch and they have to beable to withstand high recoil and stress while maintaing the exact zero, even 100th of a inch can throw the bullet off by feet at 1000+ yards if their is a inaccuracy.
I love these Practical Accuracy videos.
But can we get a Glock 19 to 1,100yds video?
Government could issue Miculeks with Glock 19s as the M249 replacement.
@@Mike-yy4ll haha underrated comment
@@xenomorphelv4265 he did 1000 yards with a 9mm revolver... I never would of believed it without watching it on here.
Jerry did a 1000 yard shot with 9mm on the second attempt if I'm not mistaken. He mentioned that he was aiming 75-80 YARDS above the target to make it happen though lol talk about lob one in there
@@noluckpureskill9985 Excalibur style
it took me 3 videos to subscribe to you...had to confirm you are a bad ass...excellent video platform...no bs talking or reviews...just straight up neutralizing the targets...well done!
Vessel of the Auditor thank you, and glad to have you around! I can’t say we’re at all BA, we just spend a lot of money and time on ammo haha!
Vessel of the Auditor we’re pushing out Mk12 Mod0 Practical Accuracy review out this Thursday by the way! Stay tuned.
Having shot this rifle in both .308 and 6.5 they're both superbly accurate and from what I've seen in their price range, absolutely the best rifle for the money.
Jefferson Graves I agree. I’ve got one in 6CM and a bergara hmr that I’ve rebarreled in 6.5. Both are around $900-$1000 and can’t be touched by anything else anywhere close to their price range
@@jonathanm1854 it's funny that you mention that because I'm deciding between these two rifles right now ! hard choice lol
@@oso1165 I have the RPR 6.5 Gen 2 and I absolutely LOVE it.
Just got my Gen II .308 camo model installing Vortex Viper PST 5x25. cAN'T WAIT TO GET IT TO THE RANGE!
Lately debating the RPR in 6.5cm or .308. Rifle is so sweet.
Please make more of these practical accuracy videos, they're awesome!
Thank you! M21 video will be out next week, showing our DMR standards, to complete the Practical Accuracy standards trio. Josh and I are trying to clear our schedules for more film time, not enough hours in the day!
I'm definitely looking forward to it! Just out of curiosity, where are some good ranges in the Houston area? I live here but I don't know the area too well. I have to say, the hardest part about living in the city is not being able to have your own range.
Vlad Kistler they’re all kind of restrictive honestly. I used to shoot at American Shooting Centers at Katy because I only shot on the LR side and nobody would bother the LR shooters much. You can stretch to 600 there.
Thanks for the input! I'll have to check it out.
This is one of the most professionally produced RUclips channels I've seen. I have the same rifle and just shot 1,000 yards in windy Kansas. Hornady 6.5 Crdmr 147G ELD-M. Hit it on half of 10 shots. Wish I had access to a range like you do. Keep up the good work. Enjoy all of your videos.
Thank you for the kind words! For that money and that performance, we really think the RPR line is hitting the precision rifle manufacturers hard.
How refreshing....a good shot just shooting and giving vital, timely information about parameters....thank you
Always wind-calls. 8 years ago, on an old school TRG-22, hitting movers up to 700m. A good spotter is king.
Now the TRG series of rifles are a high priority rifle to review (and hopefully own) if the chance arises! I prefer those over the AI thumbhole/pistol grips, any and every day.
On the 23.5" barrel, the load that worked for me is : Lapua brass, 155gr Lapua Scenars, 46.0 gr Varget. Check your OAL, the mag and rifle allow to load very far out and you should take advantage of it. 2 thousands of the lands is excellent.
Honestly, if I could bring my safe queen TRG22 to you for testing, I would, but crossing the 49th parallel and its borders is a pita.
keep making great video!
Thanks for the intel! I'll have to try out the 155. I only run 155 palma match through my M1 Garand. what is the 155 Scenar's BC like?
I generally stick with 175 SMK or TMK, depending on the distance. My LR stuff is a very long loaded cartridge that will not load into the AI magazines. Hopefully we can get a filming session for the Remington and you'll see me run a few of them!
I would say the BC for the 155 is in the .230 range for G7. Good article from the past : www.appliedballisticsllc.com/Articles/ABDOC107_3_155Lapua_Scenar.pdf
In my experience, it seems to work as well as the 168-175 pills, but I have a sample size of 1 rifle and most of the shooting at the same range, with oddly similar weather patterns at all the events.
im looking forward for Dragunov SVD 7.62x54r practical accuracy test,
Arbab Sahi we do too, but those things are rare and incredibly expensive in the US. It’s def not impossible though.
9-Hole Review. I wish we could get Dragunov's or Dragunov variants here :( A NDM-86 or Russian Tiger are my dream Comblock rifles. Maybe one day I'll get lucky.
@@9HoleReviews what about anything 9x39? its impossible in US?
@@9HoleReviews Expensive? In Easten Europe (Hungary) I bought one for 600 Usd with original Pso-1 scope.
Máté Bodó an original military configuration SVD can be USD $8k-$10k+ due to the rarity.
I enjoyed this immensely.
Thank you! The Ruger is a very impressive package, especially considering the unit price.
I have the same spotting scope you guys used and love it. You were able to use it effectively at 1100 yards?
Very impressive. I was on the fence about getting one of these and now it’s no question at all.
Jay Gao thanks! Yeah I shot one and it was no question about it. I think the tikka and the savage are the two main competitors at that price point, but I liked the Ruger the most of the three. It’s kind of cool that they take SR25 and AI mags, of which I have lots of AI mags from my rem 700 anyways
This is on my list!!! But so is the Bergara. It’s a tough decision.
codebebop you and I. The B14 is a cool rifle and we’re trying to borrow one from a friend to so a PA session and a full review.
This was the first of this video series I've seen. Wow that was pretty incredible. Especially being basically a stock weapon. In winds with up to 14 mph gusts.
Js Somewhere it’s not necessarily the wind speed that makes wind bad, it’s when wind constantly changes directions is when it is bad
@@thatfedexguy8764 am aware. I do a bit of shooting. I try not to get to long with comments. pretty impressive even if perfectly calm
This rifle along with 6.5 Creedmore did to long range shooting what the I phone did to smartphones. Made it mainstream.
From some who learned on a 308 in the 90s moving to this allowed me to teach people in one day what took me years to master.
Now that was spicy.
🌶 Thanks! We were pretty smoked after laying around 90 deg + heat for a majority of the day too.
My nephew bought one of these recently and he brought it over last Saturday and we shot it. The 6.5 CM is a sweet round!
Excellent video!
"Neutralized"
Thank you! Hopefully we hear that more than "off to the left".
@@9HoleReviews those were some stupid good shots. I think you need a real challenge, handgun to 500yds. lol
Nice video!. I just discovered your channel. I've always been a big fan of the .308 for mid caliber target shooting but I've recently joined the 6.5 Creedmore cult and I'm loving it. Higher BCs, less recoil and it's a great over cartridge ☺👍
Great video! Live "No frills " take on production just straight shooting. Awesome. Was looking to invest in another rifle just wan't sure.. I do believe that this video just tipped the scales. Thanks.
nice to see shooting in real conditions , not just on perfect days.
I had the pleasure of shooting a similar rifle last week, chambered in a .338 Lapua Magnum. Scope was a Nightforce B.E.A.S.T. 5-25x56 F1. What a beautiful rig...
This was a awesome shooting session guys!!! Keep up the good work!! You are amazing !!🤩
Having my custom one being built rn in USMC Crimson Red, CANT WAIT FOR IT!
As expected this rifle is super accurate.
Just found this channel. Excellent production value and very thought out videos. You are a fantastic shot. Subbed. Keep 'em coming.
Maelstrom8 thank you! We just went out and filmed in the 102deg F heat in Texas today. Hydration is key, baby.
Chan is the man , now and forever. Can’t wait to try mine out.
I love mine in 6.5 Creedmoor. It has helped push an entire market segment.
I love how Henry was able to call out his own hits and misses. That 40 mm main tube on the IOR REALLY makes a difference, huh? Lol
Excellent shooting.
The 40mm is for elevation adjustment not clarity (lens quality and construction) or light (Objectives and coatings). It will gather no more light than a 25mm tube with the same objective and coating. BUT, you can wind it up to ridiculous elevations.
Comfort is that feeling you get with Henry on overwatch toting that rig.
love your videos, more of the practical accuracy of other different rifles.
Thanks! We currently have on the publication roster: suppressed 5.56 AK "niner" -> M1 Garand -> Mk12 Mod0 (Suppressed) -> K2 -> R700 5R ->FN FAL Para -> SCAR17
Love my RPR 6.5...I too have the little bastard muzzle brake, but I put an XTR II 5x25x50 on mine with a Harris bipod. Heavy as hell, but great for bench shooting and it can really reach out. Farthest I have shot is 700 yards as that is the longest range I can find
I went with the XTR II 5x25x59 also. I rigged it to a Spuhr mount. I love the scope. How about you?
06SamBoston17 Absolutely love the scope, just the perfect scope for the RPR
Ruger Precision Rifle is badass, picked one up in 6.5 creedmor
The bolt throw on these things are lightning right?!
your production quality is real good
grr ummmpee thank you! Very happy you enjoyed it!
Keep on coming with these, I love them. It makes me want to move to America and starts learning to shoot long range
I love my 6.5 RPR!
Have fun, I enjoyed shooting one of the first Ruger Precision Rifles in 243 with a Vortex 4x16x50…yes ballistic info is definitely needed when reaching out past a grand. But using my sons built 6mm Creedmoor with the new top shelf Bushnell FFP scope proved to me that being able to see your target without mirage has got to be the main goal. Both guns were used at St. Louis Bench Rest Club in Wright City MO. Buy the best scope you can afford and practice, practice, practice.
Excellent team, rifle, and channel.
Congrats.
A shot fired that the enemy will never hear from a place they will never see. Impressive.
Looking forward to a review of the RPR!
Yes! But we have a few more videos that we’re working to clear out first!
Another great video! Love the shooting and the range.
Thank you! We're spoiled with this range indeed.
Is it a private range?
G Danksta Dank private-ish. Costs an arm and a leg, but it’s great for LR stuff and keeping your LR game sharp
WOW good shooting you made that look easy.👍👍👍👍
I'd be curious to see 9 hole do a 6.5 grendel review
i wanna see a 6.5x47 lapua if he can get one
This has to be one of the best performances I've seen
It's like it says on the box "practical accuracy" but if you want scary, watch a bench resat shooter group 5 shots in 1.3" at 1000 metres. Erik Cortina for example.
You made that look easy. Nice job. cool vid. !
Excellent job for using an off the self rifle. New respect for the Ruger RPR. Looks like I'll stop second guessing on it, and just pull the trigger on a purchase.
Remind me not to be downrange from Henry when SHTF. 💀
No problem. He's one of the good guys.
Just bought one of these in .300WinMag. Love it
IOR makes great optics
What an awesome range you’re shooting at! Wish I had something like that around here.
Good shooter, good rifle. Congrats!
Those IOR scopes are SOOO nice. LOVE my Recon 4-28
I love them too, but it sounds like it's a love-hate thing for them in the market.
RPR in 6.5CM or .308 is my next buy. I love that bolt action in a modern ar style platform.
Ya really using the platform with the long barrel.
Own it and love it.
308
Such a badass bullet! Nice video
I love to see a Ruger vs Tikka vs Accuracy International :) pls
As an Tikka owner, Tikka T3x 6.5x55 i would love to see that perform :)
Ooh man I love Ruger
I've been watching all videos on RUclips all the rifles and pistol
Wow! Amazing! Awesome shooting!
the sound of that gun
Just bought the ruger precision in .338 haven’t shot it yet, I hope I can get half as good as this guy. Great video
Great video, straight to the point
Looks like an artillery piece. I like that scope.
Love to see you folks do the OG 6.5 cartridge, the 6.5x55mm 1896 Swedish Mauser.
Wow nice rifle and scope and good shooting .
He doesn't flinch even a little; a real marksman.
Couldn't move, had his schmeckel in a knothole...
Outstanding brofessors!
Now that's a nice piece of kit 👍🏼🇬🇧
I want to see a ruger precision in 300 win mag. hearing a lot of good things about the new magnum caliber rifles ruger is putting out.
Brandon Sternau that would be interesting to see.
Damn good shooting!😎
I know this will be challenged, but the recital in that scope came out of my head when this scope was specked together on Snipers hide over ten years ago.
Nice shooting there bro.. 👍I wish once in my life I'll fire a rifle🙁... In great depression from India..
Been hearing a lot of good things about the RPR and rifles of its type. I have been wasting to get into some semi serious rifle shooting. This might be the way to go. I can have fun with my milsurps too. I think the range in the adjacent county has a silhouette range that goes to 400 or 500 yds. I am sure that would be a good way to start. Love all your videos.
There is no hiding from this one!
Excellent shooting sir! Neutralized!
Damn that was impressive
Wow, super impressive
Awesome video
Alot of this is intuitive.
Some got it others don't.
I own a Gen2. Things a tac driver even with factory ammo. Hits where I want it to hit every time. Just took it out today and hit center mass at 1100 on the first round.
YES! These things are so easy to work with aren't they?
NICE SHOOTING!! I am gonna talk myself into a 6.5 Creed eventually!
WOW! He hit those targets like we chew gum. Excellent spotter/shooter dialogue. How tall is your 'tower'? Does it sway a little when someone decides to 'join the penthouse"?
Andy Prariedog haha thank you! The tower does sway a little, so if people were walking around, you could see it through the scope. Luckily when it’s this hot outside, the tower foot traffic is generally cut down.
That was most impressive. Great video!
@@9HoleReviews which caliber does the gun fire?
@@300ml_brasil It says in the title and in the video
“This rifle can shoot”?? This shooter can shoot!!!
Impressive accuracy by shooter and rifle.
You guys make it look so easy.....!
I had an OG one in .243. That thing would hammer with 105's. Great gateway drug for precision rifle. Even if your not a beginner but are budget conscious. Watching this makes me miss that thing..
Great video guys
Outstanding
Looks like so much fun.
That rpr really is a good looking rifle.
Not sure how much the scope is, but I like how relatively affordable the Ruger precision and the Savage BA10 Stealth is in 6.5 Creedmoor. Both are a really good bang for the buck!
Great shooting
Dam, that seems like a very accurate rifle. :)
Henry Chan is The Man, now and forever! - Pappy O’Hoolahan
Neutralized!!!!! Love it!
Love my ruger precision
At one of my local shops they talk down about the Ruger precision. Everyone is not able to spend 4,00 dollars on a rifle. I love my Ruger.
I'd love to see if the Ruger American Predator 6.5 with a 22" barrel is as accurate out of the box. It's only $365. How bout a few budget hunting rifle videos?
I have a heavy barrel rem 783 and I've only taken it out to 500 yards but it hits the gong everytime if I do my part. The budget rifles are insane when you factor in cost vs performance.
Good man already had his required elevation numbers down on the stock all he had to do was adjust for each added 100 yards, damn good shooting though- good time spent at the range. I own this rifle with a Vortex Viper 24 x 50, it's everything you see here, hell even my reloads do well with H4350 @ 42.5gn. It just loves the Dead air Sandman-L suppressor as well :) Love this rifle.
Great shooting brother.👍
