I believe the War Department didn't want to cause delays on manufacturing incoming Garands. Really would like to test that out with a 1903A4 with the Weaver 330C and "scant" stock. 1903's in general always sparked my curiosity, especially the different manufacturers like Remington and Smith-Corona 1903s. Love when I am not even 3 minutes into the video and already I hear a Doctor Disrespect reference and game references to bullet loops increasing reload speed. Love it!
just something I want to add: yes the german snipers got "special ammo" but it was basically "can you get me Anschuss Patronen?" to the armourer/ammo supply person. The ammo you point out was absolutely prefered and sought after from snipers, but official it´s use was as the name says for "Anschuss" basicly a match load for the armourers to check rifles. It´s planed for checking the zero or rezeroing of rifle sights, but it was "semi-official" approved to hand this ammo out to snipers and basicaly the snipers tended to go well with ther unit armourers so they kept some of those bullets aside for them. A German word calles Organisationstalent has 2 meainings, literally being talented in doing things in a clear (organized) way, but because organizing also ment "getting something somehow" Organisationstalent could also mean that this person was very skilled in "liberating, trading, finding, collecting and repurpussing things" in exactly this way most snipers went for al kinds of usefull gear wich they needed to do ther tasks, specialieced equipment was fielded very late in the war. This is fascinating and thank you for adding this piece of history to our video! The military seems to never change, no matter which country in relation to Organisationstalent :)

The German K98 is also my go to rifle for long range shooting. The only difference of my setup is that I am using a newer style scope with a mount system that does not need special drilling into the rifle and indeed using existing mounting locations so I dont take away the value from the rifle. I bought mine back when I was 18 and I am now 35. The last time i was shooting at 100 yards and hitting near bulls eye I didnt notice a large crowd swarming around me at the range and put a huge smile on my face.
HK should build a modern version of this rifle, for those who don't know HK is the modern incarnation of Mauser. There are lot of people that like old school bolt action rifles. And 8mm Mauser has always been popular in Europe
I love the Karabiner 98k, it has a beautiful telescopic sight and it one of my favorite blot action sniper rifles. Although, nothing beats American Rifles.
no wonder it took the germans so long to adopt the G43 and MP44. Leadership just couldn't wrap their heads around the fact that a smaller round on a semi automatic was needed to fight urban warfare when they already had a riflel that could nail someone at 1000+ yds .
If your American and white there's a big chance you are yourself German, or at least have some German blood running in your veins, German is one of the 3 largest ethnic groups that comprise the US population

When I can't go to the range, I watch your videos. Very well done. Rotisserie Chicken! Bonus YUM!
The sound you guys mentioned that were 'Failed' actually really cool
it sounds like walktie talkie boi
Love when I am not even 3 minutes into the video and already I hear a Doctor Disrespect reference and game references to bullet loops increasing reload speed. Love it!
just something I want to add:
yes the german snipers got "special ammo" but it was basically "can you get me Anschuss Patronen?" to the armourer/ammo supply person.
A German word calles Organisationstalent has 2 meainings, literally being talented in doing things in a clear (organized) way, but because organizing also ment "getting something somehow"
Organisationstalent could also mean that this person was very skilled in "liberating, trading, finding, collecting and repurpussing things"
in exactly this way most snipers went for al kinds of usefull gear wich they needed to do ther tasks, specialieced equipment was fielded very late in the war.

This is fascinating and thank you for adding this piece of history to our video! The military seems to never change, no matter which country in relation to Organisationstalent :)
O mein Gött, that impact is crazy strong.
I’ve gotta get me an 8mm rifle.
As always, nothing less than impressive. For your next practical accuracy video I would love to see you channel your inner Vasily Zaytsev and use a Mosin 91/30 Sniper.
We have one on hand... ;) (true russian too)
Yes! 91/30
Yes, that have done that one too very good video presentation. Look it up on their channel.
ratagris21 we have the mosin Pu Sniper pending film
What's a difference between 7,92 and 8! Is the tolerance OK!?
C&Rsenal sent me here, great channel!
Chicken dinner! lmao
I loved the first 250 yard impact. The spray from the bullet splatter hitting the puddle underneath was incredible!
Ok, I will now proceed and mount my "Zielacht" on my Kar98. Thanks for making me do that.
The ejection of the brass and the impact of the bullet is the most satisfying thing ever
SPR reference at 450 👌👌👌
Thank you for the great test and honest opinion.
It's next to impossible to hear something good about any historic German technology here in Germany these days - so kudos to you.
BTW: A female shooter over here tried the K98 while standing and almost got pushed over be its kick... :D
Love my k98 but man this dudes a crazy good shot!
2:40 such an invaluable reference to Shroud
I love your sniper videos. Very educational for avid long range shooters like myself.
Was that saving private ryans sniper scene or am i crazy? Thought i might have heard some audio there... did you do a thing?
The German K98 is also my go to rifle for long range shooting. The only difference of my setup is that I am using a newer style scope with a mount system that does not need special drilling into the rifle and indeed using existing mounting locations so I dont take away the value from the rifle. I bought mine back when I was 18 and I am now 35. The last time i was shooting at 100 yards and hitting near bulls eye I didnt notice a large crowd swarming around me at the range and put a huge smile on my face.
😂😂😂😂😮😮😮😅😅😅😅😊
"My Hähnschen" Alter ich konnt nich mehr ;-) Awesome shooting buddy! Thumbs up
Those shots were so nice and right on top of each other. Great shooting.
They carry incredible amount of power.
A great weapon. Incredibly powerful.
Thank you for this video. Great rifle and great shootig.
Greetings from Germany.
The 8mm mauser goes bam! It should be neutralized first shot 🤣
8mm Mauser hits with authority.
Yo Josh looks hella lit when he looks up at the 5th shot "yooooooo duuud, i think it was an impact"
Run he’s got the 8x scope!!!
It's actually a 4x scope. Optikotechna scope. 10:07
Don't r/wooosh me
Running ist futile mein Kind
Love u guys "thumps up". Awesome shooter with a great Gewehr!
Grüße aus Deutschland
The Saving Private Ryan audio about killed me like Vin Diesel. Bleeding out here man
Man that rifle hits hard, no matter the distance or which end
How have I never seen your channel before, great shooting, lot's of history and knowledge
I thought someone subbed to shroud as I watched this so I subbed lol
Had one like that in my hands back in a day. I really enjoyed shotting with that rifle.
One of the best ww2 sniper rifle
HK should build a modern version of this rifle, for those who don't know HK is the modern incarnation of Mauser. There are lot of people that like old school bolt action rifles. And 8mm Mauser has always been popular in Europe
Great video.
Love the small clip from Saving private Ryan in background at 450yards...
Background music goes great with this gun...
Great 👍
I love the Karabiner 98k, it has a beautiful telescopic sight and it one of my favorite blot action sniper rifles. Although, nothing beats American Rifles.
I love my 3030 and my .06 ive already got a mosin just need to get the k98 :)
Best bolt-action rifle fielded by any nation ever, bar none!
@Patti Funkhouse ew
Moist nugget begs to differ
2:00 "You know you load faster if you have bullet loops" Haha
no wonder it took the germans so long to adopt the G43 and MP44.
@@MybeautifulandamazingPrincess no idea what that has to do with the video or comment.
@7:30 damn that chicken looks good. Great shooting sir.
7:09 winner winner, chicken dinner 😅
