I’ve watched this video a few times now and I’ve commented on it a couple times. All I have to say now is that I still enjoy watching it. The rifle, your shooting, it’s all badass.
You guys got it all wrong. Do you even ballistics??? Sure, the 6.5 may not be as powerfull down rangr as the 308 but has much better ballistics at distance and against the environment. Also, you are just as bad as those 6.5 'hipsters' that say it is the only way to go since you can't stay balanced on what the 6.5 is actually capable of. You're all a bunch of sheep so get over it and shut up. L;
.308 obviously rocks. However even hardcore .308 guys, once they get a taste of 6.5 Creedmoor tend to make the switch. It's just an all-around better round for long range shooting. As for less recoil. No, you're not a pussy for preferring less recoil. That means less chances of developing a flinch and more importantly it's easier to keep the scope on the target after shooting so as to make quicker follow-up shots. I love .308 which was my first experience in full size rifle calibers. However 6.5 creedmoor is just awesome and makes long-range shooting easier and funner.

Cia Lee nice! Bedding these rifles are a must for me. I think after that, group development and practice will stretch your effective range a lot farther than most people would ever take a .308
@@9HoleReviews Thank you very much for the tip!! I've heard of some people using some form of epoxy on Magpul Hunter 700 stocks, but I wasn't sure if it was just nitpicking about the stock's level of rigidity. One question, what is the best way to go about getting accurate holdover data for beginners? I have a range nearby that goes out to 550yds, and that's about it. I was also looking into getting a decent kestrel of some type and a (I forget what you call it) but it's for measuring velocity. Any tip?
at base level you''ll want to understand your velocities with a chronograph (kestrels measure elemental stuff like temperature/wind/humidity/etc. but do not capture velocity). Using a chronograph and plug in your factory load or self-made load into a free online ballistic calculator tool mobile app you'll get a rough 'estimate' -- but you'll want to confirm at the range and tweak accordingly in the ballistic calculator and continue to fine tune. There are some great videos from TiborasaurusRex on keeping track of the temperature, humidity, elevation as well but if you often shoot at same place and similar weather it's best to work out the basics before investing too much in kestrels or other tools used for longer range... i only mention this as 550 yards does take elementals into effect but not nearly as much as 1,000+ yard shooting. Hope that helps but curious to what 9-Hole Reviews thinks as well
@@ddyoder Thanks for the knowledge! Been watching TR's vids the past few weeks, and I guess data gathering will be the basis of all of my shooting here in the near future. Still waiting on my boom stick to come out of the shop. So as of right now, I guess I'm looking at getting a Chrono and a laser thermometer, and simply gathering velocity and temp data. I've also been concerned about INTERNAL BALISTICS. I guess IBs are a bit more tricky to figure out in terms of Bore Conditions, Barrel wear, Throat erosion and all of that stuff. Apparently I need to keep a few logs for ALL of this. Not just a DATA BOOK, but a Shooters Log, a Rifle Maintenance Log and an Ammo Log. Or am I overanticipating the work I'm going to have to do?
+ddyoder Sounds like we're working with he same type of base technique. Chronographing velocities and then truing it (we usually true at 400 -> 600 -> 800 (confirmation shots)) is the basis of doping our rifles to longer ranges. 100% that you should note the environmentals, as a headwind and air density can/will have an effect on your rounds impacting. It's guys like him putting that type of resource online immensely help the LR community develop. -Henry
SWFA 10x42 gang. Love mine on my pre-accutrigger Savage 10T. I was initially astonished by the capability of a $300 scope on a used $300 rifle. Furthest I've pushed it was an IPSC at 600 yards, but with Federal GMM 168gr SMK it was a cakewalk.

Nice shooting Chan! I am a practicing shooter, and you did your part extremely well. In my hunting club about 25 members most can not hit a cow ass from 200 meters, so your trajectory and wind knowledge is about sky high to the average hunter . Compared to this fact the performance we fount here is crazy! In Hungary the normal and standard max distance on hunting is roughly 150 on wild boar, and roughly 250 max on deer. Can not compare ofcourse.
Hello there! So this is actually my regular hunting rifle: ruclips.net/video/QrEVL3Uaimc/видео.html I like to set my zero at 300m and use "holdovers" to range my hits. Hunting in East Texas is actually about those distances at max for me. The Remington has treated me very well as a learning rifle indeed!
Great shooting. I'm always impressed with the wind values you shoot in and still get great hits. My stock 5R with the the same scope and your 175gr load shoots great out to 800yds but after watching this I need to try it out farther. Great videos for the serious shooters. I would like to see a PTR 91on your videos. I use mine out to 600yds with a 4x scope. A 2MOA rifle but fun to shoot.
The wind sucks when you're first starting off, but shooting in high winds helps you understand the adjustments significantly more. I think the key is to start at a shorter distance at first and build up.
Best so far on u tube, i have not shot a weapon for over 45 years, last time was in 1979 at cadets with the AU L1A1 7.62mm x 51 at 400 yards and scored a 98/100, now got offered to shoot with the F class boys in 2020 & then again in 2022 and did not know what to expect, thinking it was all older military weapons, wow was i surprised, totally customized weapon system anyway first time out scored a 38/50 at 1,200 yards, then 2nd time out scored a 48/50 with the 5.56mm AR round and at 1,200 yards, plus do not have a shooting gun licence at all, so it shows if your trained up the right way in the first place its like riding a bike you never ever forget it?
Nice shootin’ Tex! For all the hype every other month on the latest greatest round I too still hold on to shooting good ole 308. Some lapua brass and sierra match kings and start mixing up some goodies. 175 grains of wind bucking perfection. If you can dope it - you can hit it.... proven right there...
Amen. The 175 has pretty good BC and is still an excellent balance between BC and payload. Trigger time and data aggregation is key with wind, however.
Great shooting. It was easy to see much you know that particular weapon and optic. BTW, I run a fixed 10X SS also, currently on my MK12 build. Have used it in competitions and found that for the money it is a very good optic.
They do bracket quite well. have two now and did the box test on both, very precise. My only gripe, and it's with the older one I now use for hunting, its that the adjustments felt mushy at first. With use they have gotten better but still a bit soft for what I prefer. My second one, which is on the MK12, is much more tactile on the adjustments.
That's impressive. Dream equipment. Have you ever thought about making a series where you shoot blocks of ballistic gelatin at various distances to see the terminal effect of the projectiles?
You guy have one of the few gun channels that don’t make me cringe, you actually shoot the rifles on a real range in conditions. Almost nobody else on iTunes does it even.
Henry, what kind of witchcraft are you doing to keep the 308 on target at those ranges with that much wind? Love the caliber and the traditional boltgun. Excellent shooting and excellent video as usual!
Maelstrom8 haha it’s easier to step out, but you’ll see I did have a missed wind call at the end. I should have taken my time to observe the environmentals a little more before I sent it. I saw the way the 1000y target reacted and knew that I impacted low right. No doubt the right was due to wind, so I adjusted and did a little too much... just needed more time to observe! Honestly shooting at 10x is my preference for that distance, you have much better situational awareness than a Hubble telescope at 24x or heaven forbid 36x. You can see the vegetation move in your peripherals. One thing people don’t realize is that there is a river that runs behind the 500y berm. That’s why all the 600-1,100y targets have crazy mirage. If you are on a high zoom, the mirage messes with your hold as well. In short: a solid, reliable, no frills sighting system and plenty of good ammo to practice often yields better results than only spending money to buy kit. (I believe so anyways)
Arie Heath that would be an M24a2, notice the detachable mag, m24 has internal magazine. Otherwise identical rifle. Used both in the army and loved them both!
So, 1100 is the range that the round goes subsonic. "That means that the only thing that will destabilize the projectile at that range, is the target."
YEZZZ! The video we have wanted for so long! What is your load data on your hand loads. Powder, velocity, OAL, etc. because I would love to know. Thanks for the great videos and content.

Do you people realize how hard it is to make a 900 yard shot? I’m an experienced shooter with a nice setup and it still took me multiple shots to be able to hit that far he makes it look easy haha

Mark Thank you again! We are continuously humbled! We’re only enthusiasts and cannot claim the title of sniper; so much more training and dedication goes into that craft!
@@9HoleReviews/\ This. None the less, excellent shooting.
Damn guys! If only others doing the same thing could edit like you have. No painful watching nothing, just the content we came for! Keep up the awesome work.
I’ve watched this video a few times now and I’ve commented on it a couple times. All I have to say now is that I still enjoy watching it. The rifle, your shooting, it’s all badass.
Appreciate the comment, Joseph!
It amazes me to see how easy he adjusts to shooting out at each incremental distance. Really need to get to the range.
I own the same rifle. In my opinion, the last of the great rifles built by Remington

Hipsters: Only 6.5 Creedmore can shoot long range. (Sips Starbucks)
Me: *laughs in .308*
Cause they’re too worried about being tacticool and not about actually practicing
You guys got it all wrong. Do you even ballistics??? Sure, the 6.5 may not be as powerfull down rangr as the 308 but has much better ballistics at distance and against the environment. Also, you are just as bad as those 6.5 'hipsters' that say it is the only way to go since you can't stay balanced on what the 6.5 is actually capable of. You're all a bunch of sheep so get over it and shut up. L;
.308 obviously rocks.
6.5 sucks ass 308 is better
@@mr.davemaeen8136 ...?? "what the 6.5 is actually capable of".... Out of your own words, the .308 has better downrange power. If it can do it, this consistently, wouldn't you want that downrange power? I mean, assuming a realistic, honest use of the weapon... not just punching holes in paper.
I love how you guys edit your vids short and sweet👌
When he said "I see it". the 2 seconds ago, rolled a shot 36 inches to the target. boy oh boy! that win308 is ahuh
SWFA SS scopes are my favorite. And I've used every top tier glass brand. Can't beat SWFA SS scopes for the price, ruggedness, reliability, repeatability, and clarity. The Mil Quad reticle is the best reticle ever made!
The US Navy contract number is N00164-93-C-205. I have the exact contract model 10x42 in Mil Mil with side focus. It is amazing. Some are still in service on some M21 sniper systems. I also have their SS 5-20x50 HD scope on my Armalite AR50A1 50BMG rifle and its amazing. The HD scopes have high density glass which is apochromatic lenses.
Need to watch some TiborasaurusRex videos on the SWFA SS scopes and their history.
Edit: Also, 308 for life!
Love the way the 5r’s look with a swfa ss on them. 308 still the best short action cartridge IMO.
The intro and background score sounds like a boss mission in a combat gameplay
Dang - nice work! Between the heat and high winds that is some real practical accuracy.
ZeeGerman36 thank you! We just spend wayyyyyyyyy too much time on the range!
The audio at the end brought back memories, I did convoys and when they gave the Vic and pac count along with green green status for weapons and crew systems I got chills.
Guys, I love your vieos really, you are matching high standarts of observing content.
Vfx, music is very impressive. Radio talk footage in the end makes me feel soo good everytime, I can listen it to the end.
Cause it feels awesome.
And classic SF set M4 standing near the target, brilliant.
Please do practical accuracy with submachine guns.
I'm really interested how PPSH 41 will behave in the hands of that no doubt professional shooter.
I want to shoot a PPSH - 9 Hole, let's get one :D
PCC/SMGs are most def Josh’s wheelhouse! We’ve been planning and experimenting on what type of criteria we can use! We do have a sterling smg on hand
Would be great!
I follow you in fb since a while, perhaps its the best performance I've seen
Damn! You got that rifle and load doped out ridiculously well. Great video and fantastic shooting!
That's years of rounds through the pipe to learn the wind effect on the projectile!
Great vid guys!!! I just bought a Remmy 700 SPS AAC Tactical 2 months ago. Swapped out the Hogue stock for a Magpul Hunter 700 stock with bottom metal for mags, added a KRG bolt knob, a PRI 16inch Step Down rail and a VG6 Gamma 7.62 muzzle brake/comp to the end of it. Sitting on top is a Leatherwood Hi Lux Pentalux TAC V 4-20X50MM, mounted on Warner 30mm vertical quad rings, with a Burris bubble level. Just put it in the shop to get blue printed and tuned. Can't wait to get started in long range shooting. For now I'm just gathering supplies and buying different ammo for testing, when I get my rifle out of shop next month! i hope to develop the kind of skill and capability shown in this vid. It'll take some time, but I hope to become as good a shot as seen here!:)
Rex's Sniper 101 series is an invaluable resource to anyone trying to get into long range shooting. It's guys like him putting that type of resource online immensely help the LR community develop. -Henry
SWFA 10x42 gang.
Love mine on my pre-accutrigger Savage 10T. I was initially astonished by the capability of a $300 scope on a used $300 rifle.
Furthest I've pushed it was an IPSC at 600 yards, but with Federal GMM 168gr SMK it was a cakewalk.
sil3ntsp3ct3r SWFA is way underrated. 10x42 is more magnification than most will ever need, I have abused mine for years and has never let me down... several different rifles and scenarios.built like a freakin tank...
Just found this channel last week and been LOVING the videos.
So this is actually my regular hunting rifle: ruclips.net/video/QrEVL3Uaimc/видео.html
I like to set my zero at 300m and use "holdovers" to range my hits. Hunting in East Texas is actually about those distances at max for me. The Remington has treated me very well as a learning rifle indeed!
I loved how this was done with a relatively inexpensive fixed magnification scope!
There by nomeens cheap,,,,, especially a decent optic ,,,,,
@@bustersmith5569 compared to other scopes, it’s a bargain
When my brother was a sniper his m24 was fitted with a fixed 10x. Leuphold mk4 10x. Ashame less companies do fixed magnificant anymore.
Great shooting - one of my fav. rifles. Did you modify the trigger?
no my friend, that is years of training and time down range that its as natural as breathing.
actually now that i think about it, it may possibly be modified XD
Pls how much did it cost
Yes
Gonna go out on a limb and say every gun they own is tweaked and tuned to varying degrees.
Man that is excellent shooting.
Beside the very beginning, this was one of the very best videos I've watched. Good job.
What load are you using for the 175gr ?
2:09.......the most casual extraction ever....super smooth shootin there Henry.
I'm an AK guy, I primarily watch ak vids. I came for 1100 yards. 😀🤔
Just found this channel yesterday and I’ve been looking at a lot of his stuff since.
Christ. Beautiful! I can't even imagine pulling off a shot like that.
Well shot! I love seeing the R700 in action. Such a capable platform in skilled hands.
Again very cool to watch. Your videos make me want to shoot long range. I don't live very close to a long range.
UpWithGuns I find that .22LR are equally fun when you shoot tiny targets in wind. Lots to learn about ballistics doing that too!
Awesome shooting!
You know at the end of a world title fight when the announcer goes "and still the heavyweight champion of the world". That's this video.
Thank you for putting the conversion to meters
*That's really impressive...*
Trigger time and data aggregation is key with wind, however.
that's some mighty fine shooting Pard. Great rifle. Great glass.
Remington 700.
Beautiful, sexy and accurate rifle.
wow im loving it henry hopefully i can achieve this level soon ,and as usual thank you for all the content i really enjoy it .
Great shooting. It was easy to see much you know that particular weapon and optic. BTW, I run a fixed 10X SS also, currently on my MK12 build. Have used it in competitions and found that for the money it is a very good optic.
Kevin Stafford agreed. I’ve found this scope to bracket incredibly precisely, PLUS the light weight is a huge plus
Still my favorite rifle/ ammo combo. Thank you for this video.
Pe ter thanks! It’s my fav rifle as well ;)
Please remind me to NEVER be down range of Henry when he's angry!
Just make sure he isn't angry with you, and you'll be just fine.
Absolutely love this series!!
Outstanding! Made that look easy.
Thats the second time i have watched that run. Really excellent shooting Henry. Well done mate.
love this content, amazing hits at 1.1km,keep it up.
What a beast, youre an absolute monster with this gun.
I like how they edit out the curse words with gunshot sounds.
Awesome video! I really appreciate your practical accuracy videos.
That's impressive. Dream equipment. Have you ever thought about making a series where you shoot blocks of ballistic gelatin at various distances to see the terminal effect of the projectiles?
Excellent marksmanship principles applied. That was an awesome shoot. 👌🏼🇬🇧
You made it look so easy ......
Only if you saw the years of missing the mark!
That was some beautiful shooting there sunshine, well done
Another awesome video! :D
That Was Super Impressive! Mad Skills! Props To You!
Easter egg at 1:09 :)
ClearAdvantageTV :) :) :)
Wow nice shooting your speed on your next shots were impressive as hell
Great rifle too I WANT ONE
This is why I scoff at $4000± rifles
Yeah but they are freaking cool. Just impractical
Dino Nucci McMillan rifles?
Uh, this is pretty much a $4,000 dollar rifle. It’s literally an M24.
Arie Heath that would be an M24a2, notice the detachable mag, m24 has internal magazine. Otherwise identical rifle. Used both in the army and loved them both!
@@arieheath7773 you can get the rifle itself for about 750.
Nice clean run and great shooting!

They are using aimbot hack
Unbelievable!
Your sniping techniques is very nice!!

It's nice to see a RUclips that actually know how to use a scope.
So, 1100 is the range that the round goes subsonic. "That means that the only thing that will destabilize the projectile at that range, is the target."
Excellent presentation, entertaining, succinct and well produced.
YEZZZ! The video we have wanted for so long! What is your load data on your hand loads. Powder, velocity, OAL, etc. because I would love to know. Thanks for the great videos and content.
Jake Disty happy you enjoyed it! They’re 43.5gr of varget pushing a 175gr SMK in FGMM brass and a CCI BR2 primer. I believe OAL was 2.855in.
9-Hole Reviews cool, what are you looking for velocity? 2600fps 2650?
Jake Disty this load is right around 2600
9-Hole Reviews awesome, I am going to test my hand loads soon. I want to push them out around 2600FPS. I’ll down load from your charge weight and work up watching for pressure signs in my own 5R 700. I figured that I was in the right charge weight with what my books were saying. Thank you for the info.
Jake Disty good hunting! Let us know how it turns out
HOLY COW YOU’RE SHOOTING LIKE A GOD!
NICE JOB BRO! 👌
Do you people realize how hard it is to make a 900 yard shot? I’m an experienced shooter with a nice setup and it still took me multiple shots to be able to hit that far he makes it look easy haha
Honestly don't know how this channel hasn't exploded yet should be bigger than most, maybe you should do a collaboration with one of the other big names? Would also love to see a video on your pasts and shooting experiences.
