Hi Ahmed, Classification system - You must upload a custom classification system or select an available classification system to use during takeoff. The classification system and its codes are used to describe and organize your takeoff items. You may be familiar with commonly-used systems like MasterFormat or UniFormat. In Autodesk Takeoff, a package organizes and contains all takeoff data related to one scope of work in your estimation project. The concept of a package might be familiar to you as a ‘scope of work’ or ‘bid package.’ There can be multiple packages for a single construction project. Each package organizes the takeoff work relevant to its part of the project. You can find more information here: Classification System: help.autodesk.com/view/TAKEOFF/ENU/?guid=Configure_Takeoff_Settings Work with Packages: help.autodesk.com/view/TAKEOFF/ENU/?guid=Work_with_Packages
Takeoff based on parameters in the 3D models is not possible (yet)? We (and other users) are using the classification code or keynote in Revit and it seems that's not possible to automatically generate a takeoff based on those parameters?
Hi Joris, The 3D model parameter used for selection at the moment is the element Type name. You can also use clusters (Ceilings, floors, supports, lighting systems, etc). I suggest you go through the Autodesk Takeoff courses here: learnacc.autodesk.com/page/autodesk-takeoff What is shown in the videos is the current functionality of the system. Further details are included in the Autodesk Help page: help.autodesk.com/view/TAKEOFF/ENU/?guid=Takeoff_3D_Models I hope this is useful and also look out for new product updates.
What is the difference btwn classifications and packages,
I uploads classification in excel sheet
