Yes, spot on! Don’t let an abuser traumatise you and gaslight you into a state when you start losing touch with reality. Crazy will make you crazy. We have to get out and have nothing to do with those cruel and horrible narcissistic abusers.

They don't CARE and will punish you for having feelings, thoughts, emotions that are your own. How dare you be yourself and think for yourself, speak for yourself or have independent thougts 🤯

When they know they are guilty, they'll also play dumb by acting like everything is normal, or pretend they are getting forgetful when just having a normal conversation with you, so if you were to confront them with their lies they can claim they don't remember. A person with nothing to hide isn't going to try so hard to justify themselves, especially when they haven't been directly accused of anything. That's their paranoia kicking in.

That was my mom: scream, rage, throw dishes at me, shake me, push me over, bang me on the ground, and then send me to school. I am upset all day. When I come back from school, it's as if nothing happened. If she DID ask for forgiveness, it was like, "I"m sorry I lost my temper, but I was having a bad day. You understand don't you? How about a hug?" Of course I am going to forgive her and hug her. I am terrified. The set me up for a high tolerance of abuse when I got married. No clue how to stand up for myself. Just comply and hope he wears himself out with yelling. With my first husband, I offered him sex in the middle of a fight. He stopped fighting, we had sex, and he walked away like nothing had happened. I started using sex to end fights. That's a pretty big disconnect to do that. And of course, if I point anything out, I'm overreacting.

Dear Jane, I’m so sorry that happened to you!! No one deserves that kind of hate!!
I hope you are safe now, and you clearly have the strength and courage to persevere!!

That's absolutely heartbreaking about what your mother did and hope you managed to get away from your husband safely, which the previous person mentioned!
I want to add that it seems like many, if not most, of what they call domestic violence situations are the result of abusive mothers, as well as fathers.
I've found that a lot of people don't like others mentioning it because they believe that it's all related to the patriarchy.
It's a fact that many millions of mothers verbally, physically and even sexually abuse their children though, then boys can repeat the pattern as adults.
Of course, some girls follow suit and abuse their so-called partners, or both can end up being the victims, because it's familiar, which is an apt word to describe it. ❤

Your job was to _keep the peace._ Now, your motto should be _don't be afraid to offend._

You might think they're automatons for staying calm in bad situations. The reality is that they simply do not care about you and are incapable of feeling your pain.
The narcissist is a bottomless pit of evil.

"Don't be ugly" "That's abusive" are very common from the violent covert female narcissist. And at the same time I am trying to start a conversation about healing narcissistic people. I know of a case recorded in Bible and I also know that since everyone agrees we are re-booting the world that I am a bridge to the new world for any violent covert female narcissist. So things are changing and Narcs can heal through the blood of Jesus Christ.

It's okay to forgive someone. Setting healthy boundaries is good though.

I hear you, but do you think folks (women) get divorced too easily these days? Wasn't it better when people grew up with a Mom and a Dad?

I agree, but please be very careful about who you share that information with - certainly not with strangers in the RUclips comment section! There are people out there you absolutely do not want knowing where you live. For your own security I'd suggest deleting this comment - be safe out there!
