  • Ok so just going to say sorry up front for how long this is but I figured I would share as much information as I could on what I’ve found after putting thousands of rounds of different ammo’sthought this gun. Thats has left me with a list of ammos that work well in my guns. I also cover what reasons I have for way I thank some ammo’s work and others do not. Now that being said this is all my opinions from messing with just my gun and Ive have seen others online have good luck with some of the ammo’s that my gun didn’t seem to like. So I may have go back at some point and make a part 2 to this of me retrying some of these ammo’s that fail me be for just to see if i missed something the first go arund. Well all of thwm but the M22 I thank I am just done with that one🤦🏻‍♂️you will see way in the video. But any ways hopefully you will find some useful info in here that can help you get your Cp33 run better.Thanks for watching

    Been doing lots of looking for serious and plain information on this system. I appreciate the content you’ve brought here, well done and thank you!

      I feel that because when I got mine there was not hardly any good place to look for info on ammo that worked. So I figured I would share my findings and maybe help some one els who just picked one up. Thank you

      No problem thanks for watching. Ive been messing with this gun for a few mouths now and in that time I have tested quit a few different ammo's in it and in doing so I have learn quit a bit about what is seems to like and not like. So I figured I would make this video sharing what has worked for me to hopefully help some one els out with their cp33. Because when it's working right is a blast.

      @@FunNGun dude, got my cp33 in and ran 1500 rounds over two days, that Winchester 40gr blew up 3x in one brick with no other issues with federal 36gr or CCI ar tactical mini mags, I don't get how it's happening. A live round in the chamber and a second live round double feeding into it. Hammer falls and pushes the bolt forward enough to have the 2nd round set the 1st round off in the chamber. Weird thing is it does it in the middle of the magazine ONLY with that Winchester stuff. And my Ruger's don't.
      Very strange. Other than that, gun is a blast. Ran 500 rounds of the CCI suppressed after a deep clean with no issues besides not stripping the first round off the mag after it got dirty. Really liking the cheek pistol thing

      @@tacdriver22mk2 Yeah the Winchester was a big disappointment for me seeing as to how well it cycles in the gun and all. But how cares if it runs the gun if it is unsafe ands dose not go off like 10% of the time. Once I get though the other haff of the 1000 rounds I will more than likely make a video on how garbage it id. Because at this point I have like 30 something duds and still have a few 100 left to try lol

      @@tacdriver22mk2Sorry I only seen the first part of your commint be for because I didn't see the read more. Dang that is weird mine has not done it that way yet. Mine has only had the one out of battery in a few thousand rounds. I just check my gun and it will only drop the hammer if the bolt is with in a few millimeters of being fully closed. So if yours is letting the hammer fall with all the rounds stuck in the feed area and the bolt open you could possibly have something wrong with the part of the gun that is there to helps prevent it from dropping with the bolt open.

      @@FunNGun you might need to chamber brush and or CLR the chamber to get rid of the carbon ring or the breech face. I haven't had any duds out of the Winchester yours might not be going all the way into battery like you say

    Thank you so much! Save me a bunch of figuring out for my CP33. Good to know that we could save money using Thunderbolt over buying the CCI mini-mag.

    Awesome video man. I've put thousands through mine. Haven't found a favorite round for it yet. Will have to try the thunderbolt. +1 to the Winchester M22 anecdote. When they fire, they fire consistently. But many do not fire.

    • @FunNGun
      @FunNGun  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks and yeah Thunderbolt was recommend to me by a guy I meat on a Facebook form and it has surprisingly ran well for me. So hopefully it will work for you as well. As for the winchester it was a big let down for sure but to be honest I have never been a big fan of Winchesters 22lr ammo so i guess it was not a huge surprise either lol

    Been trying to find reliable-running rounds for CP33 also. I use all 50-rd Kel-tec mags (OEM +17, on its website). CCI mini mag 36 gr cphp have not cycled well for me at all. Winchester SuperSuppressor had 5 of 100 rounds not feed/ fire. Trying Gemtech next, w and w/o SilencerCo Sparrow suppressor. I hope the mini-mags work - I paid a lot for the Gemtech rounds, mini-mags are half the price right now.

      Surprisingly Remington thunder bolt has ran almost 100% for me and it's some of the cheapest stuff around. I will say I got the gun used so I would say it was pretty well broken in as well.

  • @twistcut
    @twistcut 7 месяцев назад +1

    The ThunderBolts do seem to run well in the CP33. Tried them out and ran about 150 rnds through mine the other day, with the only problems being two dud rounds. Good primer strikes but no bang. Hollow points of any brand always seem to have a couple of misfeeds per magazine so I'm sticking to solids.

    • @FunNGun
      @FunNGun  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I have had really good luck with the thunderbolt but it is cheap so I could see a few duds happening. But I will say that any duds are not ideal I would take a few any day over the 50or so I got in 1000 rounds of Winchester m22. The only hollow points I’ve have tried and had ok luck with are the Aguila 38gr they actually worked surprising well.

  • @kb2jkw
    @kb2jkw 8 месяцев назад +1

    I've tried cci mini mag and aguila but the aguila is good but much dirtier than the cci. Makes my mags black. One aguila actually split when feeding. Gonna stick to the cci from now on.

    • @FunNGun
      @FunNGun  8 месяцев назад +1

    • @FunNGun

      It’s possible but I have talk to others that have had good luck with quit a few of the same ammos mine will run. But either way this will still give you a good starting point for ammos that have a good chances of working in these guns.

  • @robertwilson9999

    I don’t recommend armscor 36 grain hollow points. They will give up all kinds of out of battery discharges.

    • @FunNGun
      @FunNGun  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks that good to know because I only really tested them enuf to make sure they would cycle in the gun. I have only had one OOBD with the gun so far and I don’t need any more.

    If you seat the cartridges in 100% of the way this gun cycles anything. Once inserting a round, you MUST push it all the way in. Next coated cartridges run way better. That being said, i wont buy any gun that you have to f*ck around with to get it to cycle

    • @FunNGun
      @FunNGun  3 месяца назад

      I just use the speed loaded and don't have to mess with seating the rounds. Mine will run pretty well with quit a bit of stuff but there is a few that just wont work at all for me. But as long as it will run something cheap I am ok with it lol I agree that's way I put off picking one of these up for a long time. But after trading in to mine for just 200 I could not resist lol

    auto match and cci work the best for this platform

    • @FunNGun
      @FunNGun  Месяц назад

      Auto match does work pretty good in mine but I have had a little better luck with the Remington Thunderbolt. Yeah cci mini mags work fine to but who wonts to have to pay for them lol. After the video I ended up picking up the 40gr version of the cci blazer and it runs really good it’s petty much mini mags without the copper wash on it so it’s a little cheaper.

  • @ohitsjaelon

    Does this gun feel almost too cheap in the hand? Because it looks really light

    • @FunNGun
      @FunNGun  27 дней назад +1

      It weighs 1.5lb stock so it has a bit of weigh to it but it’s still not as much as you would thank for how large it is. They do feel a bit cheap but that’s really just because kel tec uses plastics for just about every thing on their guns. But I will say that once’s you find the right and it’s running right ,it’s a blast to shot with how mean rounds holds🤠Also if you do get one buy a speed loaded it makes it way more fun just because it helps take a lot of the guess work out of loading the mags right.

    The things a animal it’ll eat anything

    • @FunNGun
      @FunNGun  3 месяца назад

      Honestly it surprised me with how good it runs. Because I had seen a lot of people talking about how there’s would not run any thang and that made me hold off on getting one for a long time .But I got this one on a trade and like you said it will eat about any thang. I just tried 40gr Blazer in it the other day and it also works so that’s anther one for the list. Witch is cool for me because I have been on a quest to find a reasonably cheap 22lr round that runs right in all of my 22s and so far 40gr Blazer seem like it’s going to be my winner.
