- Wandering through Wally World and found this Dolly Parton's Southern Style Coconut cake-I grabbed it! My favorite cake as a kid was The Pepperidge farm coconut cakes-Granny used to buy them for us!

To also help not have a stick on the bottom, Dump out the water, and then put it on steam and Crisp for about three minutes, it crisps up the bottom.

I love watching your videos. I have recently purchased the speedi and like your ideas. I have a suggestion for when it comes to baking a cake. Take a piece of wax paper and trace around the pan. Spray the bottom of the pan place the wax paper inside the pan spray the base again with Pam or whatever and bake. When the case is done and cool tip the cake out of the pan and peel the wax paper off. It is something my mom taught me and it hasn't failed me yet.

no but that is a good idea-hmm.... wonder if they make a pan small enough or could use silicone molds.

its the Ninja multis pan-its about 9 inches.
Wasn't there a cutting of the cake & seeing how it tasted? Was it Moist? You said this Ninja Speedi had two more functions & you'd tell us what they are...? Pls...I'm new to this...would like to know the model... Would you give us a link for the right pan to use for those that may not have it...or give us name & size....Really appreciate the help on that. :) Thanks for the demo...will surely make a boxed cake soon.
I'm sorry-it was super moist. The 2 extra functions were keep warm and reheat which are not necessary-no difference in the price of which one you purchase-i picked mine ups at COSTCO for 100.00dollars. The pan in the Ninja aKitchen multipurpose pan-there is a link in the video description which will take you to my store where you can purchase it(thank you) if you do. .
It was super easy to make.
I have a box cake with me -maybe I will make another just to use it up and give the cake to my neighbor
@@pressurecrisp Thanks so much for all the detailed info....I tried to find info on the two diff't models(prior to your post here)....couldn't find anything...The 'reheat' sounds worthy...as does the 'keep warm' I have BJ's and Sams here...Costco is an hour away with difficult driving...:) Lucky you. Read the box, Dollies cake mix is NO better than others [ she need money ? ] Pkg leads you to believe that the coconuts are included in mix, they arent. NONE of her mixes have what it says, its just cake mix, you have to buy nuts, coconuts etc, etc, Save money, dont let the name fool you, her cake mix is NO better than the rest, maybe 1 step above generic. FUNFETTI best cake mix out there and 80 cents cheaper. Yeah i too got sucked in thinking coconuts came with that mix, again ALL her cake mixes is just,, well, cake mix, nothing more,, again no offense Dolly..
Funfetti is a great cake mix.
