- Cooked in the speedi on steam bake This jacket potato is definitely worth trying .
Smooth and buttery with a lovely crispy skin
Have it on its own with butter or be more decadent and have it twice baked with your favourite fillings
I would kill for that potato right now! I am missing my Ninja here in the Philippines! God Bless You and Steve!
Thanks Paulie but what an experience you are having
Love this!
I do love a jacket
Just put my spuds in my Ninja and wasn't sure if steam bake was the correct setting. This video was very helpful. Thanks
Remember depending on the spuds the cook time could be different
Trying that tonight for the kids. Thanks for the vid.
Remember that size of potatoes makes a difference to the cook time but enjoy
Thank you, waiting for mine to cook🎉
Enjoy
Thanks for the video I’m actually Cooking my first one right now in my new ninja Speedi which I’ve literally had less than a week

Hi Penny, we call them baked potatoes over here, your potato looks creamy and delicious.
Thanks Rick
My Ninja Speedi only goes as low as 250 on Steam And Crisp, not 150. So I used 250. It worked fine!
@dallastrujillo7540 is that F , I'm in the UK and it's celcius
@@inthekitchenwithpenn1ok. That’s what I thought. Thanks
Please do more cooking many thanks
No worries there Anita
How much water did you put in when steam/bake 2 potatoes. Thanks

Time 5.46 pm greetings l have joined a few days ago and its the first time l”m using my new ninja speedi Ive followed jacket potatoes using you method could you tell me please Steam and bake took at least 20 minutes to start cooking also l have put extra water in a couple of times is this normal the potatoes at the end was beautiful. Any tips would be grateful regards simone
@simoneblackburn steam and bake will take longer to start depending how much water is in there .
I have had to add more liquid when cooking in the past . I do make sure that if I do add water I make sure it is boiling
Sometimes potatoes just take an age to cook as a jacket
To make it quicker you could cook in the microwave for a few minutes first
Thankyou much appreciated 👍
I'm really tempted to buy the Speedi. Do you think it would be good for making jam roly poly? 😋
@user-nk2pr1cd9p it would be perfect
@@inthekitchenwithpenn1 I think you should do a demo 😁😁😁😁😁
@@Catherine-Crevice I'm planning on something tomorrow that uses suet pastry in the same way as a roly poly
Can you name the potato in the Air fryer section only? I have only just purchased my Speedi so still learning.
It was just generic baking potatoes from a Greengrocers
I’m using a basic Uk version of baked potatoes I don’t think it matters what type they’ll all turn out delicious
Very strange. The camera should point to the eqipment!!!!
Whats going on 😱😱😱
@BjarneQwinten not sure what you watched because once cooking commenced the speedi was the focus
@@inthekitchenwithpenn1 sorry. I was wrong
Thank you for not using the metric system
Too easy hey, metric ❤
No speed about it.... took forever and it did pre heat at the beginning.... over an hr for a jacket tato.... this is the worse product I have ever in my life bought
Oh dear that's not good but have you never had jackets that take an age in the oven ? I know I have . You could always microwave for 10 minutes first .it's still cheaper than oven cooking
So in order to get the best results from a ninji speedi I need a microwave ! 😅 A jacket potato half done in a microwave ten placed in a oven takes 20 mins, I'd rather heat up my kitchen at the same time with my oven .... which also helps my clothes dry when on a clothes horse.
@YouWhatBoii98 no not at all that was merely a suggestion however many people with any type of airfryer and indeed those who use an oven will microwave first then use the other method to crisp up
Did you fork them before cooking?
