  • Cooked in the speedi on steam bake This jacket potato is definitely worth trying .
    Smooth and buttery with a lovely crispy skin
    Have it on its own with butter or be more decadent and have it twice baked with your favourite fillings

    My Ninja Speedi only goes as low as 250 on Steam And Crisp, not 150. So I used 250. It worked fine!

    Time 5.46 pm greetings l have joined a few days ago and its the first time l”m using my new ninja speedi Ive followed jacket potatoes using you method could you tell me please Steam and bake took at least 20 minutes to start cooking also l have put extra water in a couple of times is this normal the potatoes at the end was beautiful. Any tips would be grateful regards simone

    • @inthekitchenwithpenn1
      @inthekitchenwithpenn1  Год назад +1

      @simoneblackburn steam and bake will take longer to start depending how much water is in there .
      I have had to add more liquid when cooking in the past . I do make sure that if I do add water I make sure it is boiling
      Sometimes potatoes just take an age to cook as a jacket
      To make it quicker you could cook in the microwave for a few minutes first

    No speed about it.... took forever and it did pre heat at the beginning.... over an hr for a jacket tato.... this is the worse product I have ever in my life bought

    • @inthekitchenwithpenn1
      @inthekitchenwithpenn1  Год назад +1

      Oh dear that's not good but have you never had jackets that take an age in the oven ? I know I have . You could always microwave for 10 minutes first .it's still cheaper than oven cooking

    • @YouWhatBoii98
      @YouWhatBoii98 Год назад

      So in order to get the best results from a ninji speedi I need a microwave ! 😅 A jacket potato half done in a microwave ten placed in a oven takes 20 mins, I'd rather heat up my kitchen at the same time with my oven .... which also helps my clothes dry when on a clothes horse.

    • @inthekitchenwithpenn1
      @inthekitchenwithpenn1  Год назад +2

      @YouWhatBoii98 no not at all that was merely a suggestion however many people with any type of airfryer and indeed those who use an oven will microwave first then use the other method to crisp up

    • @Butterb0ne
      @Butterb0ne Год назад

      Did you fork them before cooking?
