I can't stop smiling.... Soo cool ! I LOVE this channel... Have the cake mixes...never used canned frosting.... on my 'To Do & To Get' list.... Right after your SPEEDI meatloaf we're making next Wed ! Making one sub....using Butter instead of Veg Oil... :)
Hi James. LOVE your channel. One question: did you use the bake times suggested on the box? I want to cook frozen battered shrimp that is normally 12 minutes at 425 in an oven. Would it be the same here?
Could one bake bread in it? Also, what are the dimensions across the front including the bit that sticks out left of the lid please. I’m trying to figure if it will fit in my camper van cupboard!
When they sold the Speedi on HSN and QVC they showed a cake they made and they used the steam bake and the cake was very moist and thick. They said that steaming was how high end bakeries did their cakes.
I had to go back and see how I did my first choc cake..I told James I could not remember but I went back and did a search and it was steam and bake..it changed the texture of the cake and we would not eat and threw in garbage. I want a cake like when you do it in reg oven..steam and bake yep was moist and was thick but a nasty texture.
40 mins seems long for a convection and small cake. did it dry out? everything is good when it's hot, I wonder next day if you find it moist. seems like a long cook.
Question, is the texture of the cake the same as in regular oven..I did a choc cake and I really dont remember the setting :( but the texture was awful and the whole thing got thrown in the garbage and since then to scared to do another in the speedi. btw, thats my favorite cake!!
So I watched this video to see how you got the cake out of the pan- and it was the only thing you didn’t show😂 Please tell me how to get it out without breaking it?
Pam and anything that contains soy or sunflower lecithin doesn't play well with nonstick, it causes a nasty sticky feel to your items and it can ruin them
Super bake James! Definitely going to do this one ! Thanks for sharing, Cheers 🍻

You’re welcome!
Thanks for the great info on the speedi ...
You're welcome
Can I make boxed brownies in the ninja Speedi with the steam and bake option
Looks great James. One little hack for you with a boxed cake mix switch the oil for melted butter!! the difference will amaze you!
Sounds good will try it
@@CookinWithJames I substitute milk for water as well.

Hey James every recipe I follow has been great. I'd love if you make a cook book. It would be a seller.
Thanks so much! I appreciate it 🙏
How do you get the bake/roast function to go lower than 400 degrees?
Has anyone tried using both this recipe and the one that comes in the Ninja Speedi quick start book? Just wondering which one makes the better cake?
I bought mine from QVC. It came with a cake pan. Also they steamed their cake and it really added a lot of height.
Georgina… I got mine at Sams and was pleased to see the cake pan too. Thanks for the steam suggestion.
Thanks
so I assume you'd put the round cake pan INSIDE the square pot, or do you put it on the rack in the bottom position?
Put it on the rack
In the bottom

Interesting. I will try it

Next thing to make 😊 thanks James! Hope it turns out as good as yours 😅
It should. Lol
Looks delicious. Wonder if you could try a pineapple upside down cake. Yummy!
Ya you can. Thanks!
Would have loved to see you taking it out of pot 😀
It literally just falls right out
How long did you let cool b4 removing it? And how easy is it to remove?
Easy to remove. Slides right out. 10 minutes to cool
Can you make it in the steam and bake function
This is also a good method. Steam n bake🎉
Can you show me pineapple upside down cake in the Ninja speedi?

It was still moist the next day

Pam and anything that contains soy or sunflower lecithin doesn't play well with nonstick, it causes a nasty sticky feel to your items and it can ruin them
That’s why I use avacado oil
