Back in 2015, I bought a brand new GMC, Denali HD, fully loaded. With the Duramax for $57k! Today, that same truck is pushing $100k! In 9 years the price jumped almost $45K!?! Prices need to drop, or they'll ROT!!!
It’s absolutely crazy what prices have done.
The Warlock is a nice package. I added a few things and came out with an MSRP of $56k. Acceptable, considering today's truck prices. Thanks for the tip. 👍🏻🇺🇸
Problem is 56k is still Alotta money for a pretty base truck
57k for an off road work truck….Remember when you could buy a base Gen 3 Raptor for 65k. The last 3 years has been rough. Inflation sucks.
Government sucks.
You think it's only inflation the cause?
@@gpaje no I also think manufacturers are seeing everyone pay over MSRP so they figure they should just charge more. But inflation is a huge part.
@@spizike9866 Agree, good point.
@@spizike9866 What do you think drives inflation? People pay over MSRP because government pumps cash into the economy, giving consumers an oversupply of cash to drive up prices.
Very cool configuration - I think this Warlock really offers a good value (given the high price level of trucks in general)! Thank you! 😊
That number is still crazy. I bought a 2020 gmc 2500 Sle with the duramax in that same year, for 52k brand new. Added a 6.5" BDS suspension with fox shocks and stabilizer. 37" tires and was just breaking 60k after all that. You guys give out great info but you try to normalize these crazy prices.
Nobody's normalizing the prices. Only the manufacturers can do that. This is how Capitalism works.
Good video andre, but I don't see why the fx4 wouldn't be in the same category when they both have offroad suspension and locking diff. I actually think the ford is a better buy with steel bumpers and some underbody protection and most likely a cheaper price tag and proven engine options
I like trucks, but eating is a higher priority.
I agree with Andre. His warlock build with the Hurricane, brake controller and the power port would be a good choice for me.
Let them all go out of business.
You shouldn't have to get a mortgage to drive.
The banks enable this and want people to think it's normal to be owned.
Blame the government for printing trillions of dollars
Quite a few cars out there below 30k. People won't buy those though.
@@ShadowBendGotta look successful to everyone else!
This is a good value for everything you get. Not a bad deal tbh. Find me another truck with this power, capability, and equipment for less.
Blame the government for using a printing press at the Federal Reserve as a fan, plus the greedy UAW.
I went to my local dealer and built an RHO. I wanted to see exactly how expensive I could make the truck. I added the Level 1 equipment package, offroad running boards, silver paint, all the graphics, bead lock wheels, bed protection, red interior accents, and the trailer brake controller. After all was said and done my MSRP was $91k. However most people would be able to get it for less if you negotiate with the dealer.
Yep
The dealer is not going to sell the RHO for less than sticker
@@ReincarnatdAncientIrishPeasant Of course they will as long as they are wanting to sell vehicles they should be willing to come down. However I decided to get a Final Edition TRX they had on the lot.
@@tylerwilliams9664 I sell CDJR. I can almost guarantee a dealer is going to hold out for someone to buy it at sticker man. They will sell vehicle at sticker if there’s no need to discount it. Which with its rarity they most likely wont need to because there will be a market for it at sticker. They won’t discount the car just cause. On a normal ram yes on a ram that is rare locally they wont
I’m glad you talked about this truck. I was just saying I wanted to see more about the warlock. I honestly didn’t even know they released whether they would be doing the warlock in 2025 or not. I just bought a nice charcoal with black decals warlock a few months back. I hope to see one in one of your towing/ off-road videos. Mine with a hemi has been to the Smoky’s twice with a winnebago mini drop 19ft bunkhouse from Florida and all off-road in the mountains in the Smokies effortlessly.
After reading some of the other comments though, I think I would rather see a comparison with the warlock and the rebel.
Great info Andrey..thank you
FANTASTIC find!
An idea, make comparison between Warlock, Built to Serve and Back country editions. I dont think anyone has done that.
another youtube channel call these 'emotional support vehicles' ... an 80k off road work truck, that will never be used for off roading or work... prob 110k after taxes and interest
LOL that’s a funny analogy. Vry tru imo, I have a 2005 Lexus Gx470, but it is built out for off-roading n camping n we do 4-6 trips a year. I meet so many ppl around town with “builds” n they never hit a trail 😂
Exactly.
Another reason why our GOV won't let the new Hilux small truck come over or probably the new KIA truck when it comes
It’s crazy folks would pay this for such a lame vehicle haha the used market is gonna boom for a very long time
My emotional support truck is paid off.😅
I would like to see a warlock and rebel comparison video, because as far as it goes it appears that the rebel just gets more tech and interior features
I agree and haven’t seen that comparison anywhere yet. I honestly just bought the warlock and got some really nice custom seat covers for a few hundred bucks and feel like my warlock is nicer than my aunts rebel lol.
Why are these offload trucks, meaning warlock, rebel, even the Ford stx package only avaliable with crew cab and smaller bed? I would love to have a warlock or stx package with the 6' and half bed. Please manufacturer make that option avaliable. I dont think it would be complicated
I totally agree. If you're interested in the Warlock with a shorter cab and 6.5' bed you can basically configure a Warlock but without any decals. You just have to check the various option packages and it still is less expensive than the Warlock.
@@redracerproductions thanks but I want a crew cab. This is my dilemma
I understand manufactures are being forced to adopt turbo charged engines. What I hate is that in order to get the most out of these engines you have to run 93 or 94 octane. I tried a 3.5 ecoboost 2022 and to get the best fuel economy (24mpg) and for the engine to not get towing fatigue while hooked up for more than 2 hours I had to run ultra premium fuel, I was shocked that even with 91 octane it would not perform at its best. Extremely expensive engines to run....properly
$56k….wow, so affordable! Lol
With cloth seats… for that price I would get something that is not a truck
65 k in Canada 😂😂
When a midsize Tacoma hits $67k it's quite a bargain 😅😅😅
90k in Finland
The Warlock is similarly equipped like the Built to Serve editions from 2020-24.
So they are going offer the ram 1500 classic, but they are going to swap out the hemi? That seems like more work and engineering then its worth. You should still be able to get the hemi in the classic. That would only make sense.
pretty sure it is just the old V6 in the classics
I was interested when I saw the Warlock option pack was $3k. It wasn't clear at first, but thought that was a great deal as it included the engine upgrade. I figured it out a little later that it 'requires' the engine upgrade but the engine is added and billed separately. If the Warlock could be optioned to come out closer $50k I might have considered it.
Something I realized when I bought my warlock was it’s not as sought after as a truck like a rebel is which gave me a lot of negotiating power. I got $9000 off MSRP and negotiated a good deal for 100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty which is necessity since I pull a camper a few times a year with my family and drive it back-and-forth to work.
I liked the rebel that you configured to your specs
Good video Andre
Thank you Andre, do you guys plan on buying a long term straight six Ram 1500? Would love to see that
Good video Andre now people interested just need some dealers to order some and push them. Instead of only loading up on the much higher level vehicles.
Incredible they’re still producing the last generation truck. Most companies that did this carried on for like a year after it’s replacement
It’s $1100 cheaper if you do the just the off-road package. It’s the same as the warlock just different stickers.
8/21 2021 Warlock $34500 brand new, V8, 4x4, 6'4" box, 8" screen. $11500 under MSRP.
Very happy with the truck.
Today's prices are out of control
Would love to see this package on a Dakota
This Warlock package for the 2025 base 1500 resembles the old F150 Rattler package for the XL trim. That’s still really nice!
Be interesting to compare this 2025’ Warlock to the Chevy Silverado LT Custom TrailBoss. I think the Chevy comes in cheaper even with the 5.3L (forsure with the 2.7).
Sticker prices are crazy, I’ll vote with my wallet and leave the cash in a 5% CD for now and hope prices come back to reality
Good find. Personally for the same money, maybe even a bit less I’d rather have a 2024 F150 STX FX4 5.0L. Best new truck deal on the market right now.
Nice, It's equivalent to the Custom Trailboss, I guess... The only thing missing for me would be the adaptive cruise control.
I'd rather get a Classic Tradesman with the Hemi and the off-road package, which also gets you a 1" lift and a limited-slip rear diff.
I don't think the hemi is even offered anymore.
@@Turshin you still can in the "Classic" if I'm not mistaken.
I've seen enough Hemi failures over the years to not want the old V8 option.
@@SeanDuPhotographer I gotta go back to the simulator and try again. Last I checked the the hemi was grayed out.
@@FrankyRedEyes they all break down. It all depends on who has the money to hide their issues.
it;s great if you like crew cabs, personally i would rather have an extended cab, I'm buying a truck, not a family sedan
Why in the world can you only get it in a crew cab. I want it in a quad cab because it's 3k cheaper with a quad cab and it's a better work truck with a larger bed? This makes it way more expensive than it needs to be. All these trucks aren't worth it. Just buy a quad cab and put more aggressive tires on it and buy a warlock sticker and ta da now you have the same thing but cheaper😂
Definitely right about that warlock but I'd rather spend a few more $ for the rebel gt as id buy it as personal transportation but if I was buying it for work purposes I'd definitely go for the affordable warlock
Are we at 15 year financing on trucks yet?
Andre are you buying the warlock I feel like they built that for you in mind and it be a great replacement for your Colorado
Hey TFL did you know you can only get the 2.7ltr v6 Ranger if you get it in 4X4 and it adds 5K pluss to the sticker
I like the Warlock when it first was released but I do not like that I did not come in a crew cab. That's why when I bought my 3rd Ram truck I bought the express even though it's the lowest version I bought the fully loaded which came with the posi rear tow package giving you the tranny cooler and the break controller on the inside also with the tow haul button. My first Ram was a 2500 diesel that I still have and the other what is a Ram 1500 Sport and I never ended up using half the things anyways and I don't like the panoramic roof I never used the sliding window. Besides me always debadging every vehicle I have, I'll always buy a Ram truck.
2:01 insane that a Tradesman starts at $38k!!
Oh Wow! Nice work. 💯💯💯
Build your own affordable off-roader that fits your need and wallet.
Maybe this is a hot take but when you approach the 60k+ price why not step up to a 3/4 ton? The price is within 5k
Get rid of the warlock name, it was never popular and it makes you look like a dork from the 80s. Nice to see an option for a bigger fuel tank. Would be nice to see heated and power seats, other than that good truck.
I see a ton of these 60k- 80k trucks on the road. Vehicles have become insanely expensive. All you hear about is people complaining about crappy wages - so who is it that’s driving these vehicles? I read somewhere that average car payment is $800.
I wish center console was available on more trim levels. I don't see how it can cost much more to produce than the jump seat that doesn't get used
I'm glad I bought the 2022 Warlock. It has the crew cab and 6ft 4 box which are no longer available together. The 5ft box looks disproportionate to me. I would rather the 8ft box than the 5ft box.
Do they not have the 2024 warlock in the states? I just bought a 5th gen warlock this year
Really, in what country?
@@harrirauhanummi Canada
Does it at least have heated steering wheel and seats
Pickups are becoming preposterously expensive, a 2020 TRD Pro could be had for $49k with destination added, the 2024 is $65k with destination, an over 30% price increase in 4 years. At this rate the 2030 Tacoma will be in excess of 86k. Lunacy.
A truck with a 6 cylinder shouldn't cost more than 40k
What if that 6 cylinder is called a Cummins, and the vehicle is loaded with every conceivable option?
@@ALMX5DP ok, gas burning 6 cylinder
@@shmiggz so even a Raptor?
@@ALMX5DP yeah
@@shmiggz wow you have some high standards just around cylinder count.
I find the fact of buying a Rebel for $80k as just plain sad 😂 . I ordered and bought my 2023 Ram TRX for $92K. Once I put my down payment, it was $67K all in. How w much more can we a buyers take?
Ram Rebel and TRX are chanpion of the rich and warlock is champion of the people for price of a high option XLT you can get a warlock to beat it nearly in anything
The Rebel used to be the mid level, sweet spot in the lineup. Not anymore! So Dodge had to create warlock.
Dodge ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Nope, Dodge has had nothing to do with them since 2010. I guess you mean RAM/ Chrysler.
@@AussieDazza YUP! You’re right.
I think that the Tradesman with the Warlock package added makes for a better looking truck as well. Andrea just might have hit on something interesting.
But…. Does it have heated seats???? The affordable trucks never do. 🙄
ANY and EVERY vehicle above $50,000 better have leather AND heated seats. People need to draw a line somewhere and stop settling for less.
@@hooptietime4427 exactly! I don’t care as much about leather. But if it is 50K plus it better have all the safety tech a 25K Toyota has. It better have at least a brake controller. It better have heated seats. It better have 4x4 with a low range and locker.
This truck would be perfect if they just gave you the few basic option you get in cheap sedans 🙄
These prices are what they are because after covid we were willing to pay that much and banks were willing to loan over msrp. Prices may not go down but if were patient apr will go down and incentives will go up. Could be a while though so save your money.
warlock 40k-45k(where i live), RHO 57k...nope
How much is the extended warranty required to keep one past 125,000 miles? Stellantis = lease them only.
The surprise is that it’s $56k. You can get a bighorn level 2 with off-road package. Or a bare bones Laramie.
The Canadian Build and Price lacks a lot of Luster compared to the US. 2025 are add most special trims are not available easily
Wish the warlock had bucket seats
I noticed these trucks rust out in Canadian salted roads, more so than any other truck I've seen on the road. I hope Ram will make better steel. I do like these trucks but the rust keeps me away from them. Maybe a new Nissan frontier is for me
Wow! You can buy a brand new 2018 Ram for fifty grand 2024. Thanks, Stellantis.
Interesting about the "configurator"& the steps you had to go through for the Warlock- I've always maintained that the mfgr configurator's were too complicated. Also how long till they change the site to be easier to use?
I think it a great deal comparing to a new 4 bangers Toyota Tacoma's.
👏👏
And still no gear shift. That dial is a deal killer.
The warlock and the Backcountry Ram are both great sleeper value off-road trucks. And, even though the RHO is quite a bit more expensive than those two trims, it's still a bargain in it's respective class. Inflatuon is still too high, of course, but, dollar for dollar, these trucks are great bargains.
I wouldn't quite call it a bargain
If you think this is a great bargain, wait until I tell you about a timeshare that just came on the market!
@@john8890 Womp, womp... 🥱 Apparently, the context of my argument is a little over some you guys' heads here. Lol
Now just give us the column shifter back, RAM!!! Hate those girly twirly shifter knobs. Now that you’ve neutered the engine compartment, neuter that knob!
If its a Air Breathing V-8 nonTubro NonOverTec-ed $30,000 Machine It MAY be worth the Cost !
If it was an inline-6 4x4 Diesel for $20k it may be worth it.
@@Cloud30000
Sad that $57k is being pushed as a bargain. No thanks.
It’s not new it’s been in Canada on both the DS & DT since 2020 & 2022 respectively.
Cruise?
You can get a rebel for that money though? I’m confused
Does this mean that the Ram Classic goes away for 2025?
Ram makes macho trucks but powers them with an inline six cylinder?
We need to have more choices like this, we need value, joe is going to continue to screw over the regular guys.
Cool truck, 77k canadian...plus tax and interest...be 90sk, not sure it's that cool
Yawn and OUCH. I'll happily stick with my older yet very functional pickup. Let the very much NOT American company, Stellantis, suffer their global fate. Hard pass. You do a great Job Andrei, however, this industry is in serious trouble.
46500 club cab with 2wd...
They’re just confusing their customers with all these added models. How do you make money?
Yep. I have a 2015 GMC slt crew std box Z71 half ton 4x4. It stickerd for $52k. I paid $40k after incentives. Replacement cost after 9 years is $80k.
The real question is: why get a rebel when you can get a RHO (TRX) for only 4,000$ more????
You get turbo lag and a small engine working harder all the time. Peak hp & tq are irrelevant as it'll never have the punch of a v8
I think Toyota SR5 4x4 is better for 52 to 55k 🤷♂️
Chevy Uplander styling..? No thanks.
I'm a big TFL fan. But not sure I understand the off-road. Why not just get a 4-wheeler or dirt bike? Save a ton and maybe more fun
Yeah most people have side by sides anyway now and luxury/limo pickups to haul them
A 4 wheeler doesn't carry 4000 lbs of bales to the 3 outer barns every few days, or 5,000 lbs/one cord of green red oak - at all- nvm up steep hills and driveways and won't pull out the stuck in a mud hole old 60 hp diesel Massey-F, nvm the baler.
Hard to carry an 8 foot bed's worth of hunting gear to the camp on an ATV, along with a couple 200 lb carcasses, too
Yes that would be smarter. With Ram you should get a minimum 8k off msrp.
Yeah, no.
Who in their right mind thinks 50 grand for a six cylinder truck is a good value?
Dodge Ram Shitlantis whatever you want to call them. Their prices the last 5 years have increased about 40%? This company needs to either start offering 20+% off msrp or another bankruptcy is coming.
I dont see the point of calling them a Dodge Ram considering Dodge has had zero to do with RAM’s going on 14 years.
Right. Paid $33k for a bighorn 5.7 crew cab 4x4 1500 classic in 2019….
Personally, because it looks so similar to the truck we’ve had for 5 years and hasn’t changed much, I’m just really not interested in this truck. RAM needed something exciting again and instead everyone is just thinking things got worse with the same truck with less fun in the engine department.
Less fun. 😂😂😂 more hp equals less fun to you and only you.
@@Turshin The last time I checked, the RHO has less horsepower than the TRX did.
@sandshark5584 last time I checked this video was about the Warlock and not the RHO or TRX. Forget the HEMI and embrace the TURBSKIES.
66 thousand for rebel, the same exact rebel I bought in 2019 for 45. There's no shortages on materials and inflation is bad, but it isn't that bad. These car manufacturers are really milking the whole situation. And like Roman said, in another video. Yeah, we all complain a lot in the comments. But the fact of the matter is we still are buying these trucks for these prices, so they're never going to go down. 8 year car loans are already normalized. How much longer till it's 10 year Car loans, 12 year car loans
Ummm no thanks
no
The Hurricane engine is built in Mexico fwiw.
Hopefully someone starts building average blue collar new trucks, not these overpriced trucks you need to make 150k a year to afford.
