- What a long and fussy project this has been, but we made it in the end! So pleased we stuck to our mission to get the carpet down in time for Christmas. Looking forward to next year's projects already!

I'm slowly going back over your videos. I was slightly late to the party, but Wow. You and your wife are outstanding. All this with a family to deal with. Amazing.
This is the first diy video I’ve watched where there is the same attention to detail, care and careful work as I would do. Most of the time it’s just rushed and messy. Makes such a difference doing it properly.pleasing to watch x
The file brush: My junior high shop teacher is praising your dedication to your tools!
Stunning; so well done.
You're a stickler for detail !!!! What a great job you've done.
Great to see these done. This project was how I found your channel. I can still see my stairs, untouched, from here.
Those stairs look fabulous....really well done!
Such a handyman, great family 😊😊😊
Wow - that looked like a very fiddly job to do but what a great result ! Such a crime that the stairs were ruined in the first place but I can almost hear your house thanking you from here for all of your hard work.
Absolutely magnificent restoration of those stairs. Clearly a labour of love!! Well worth the time and effort though. You will enjoy them I’m sure.
Great uploads. Inspiring. Thanks.
Stairs look amazing, great job.
Fantastic vid as always they look amazing.
really nice job and really like the choice of carpet. Came for the van videos stayed, subscribed and watched all the others!
You have done an amazing job!
Love watching these videos, but the effort you put into everything makes me wanna go get in bed! Fair play to you! Beautiful stairs!
Looking good!
You have done an oust adding job finishing the stairs off, well done.
nice work :) Happy New Year! Rich
Great job. If you still see imperfections in the natural light crop up skim back a layer and then use a white gloss spray paint. I’m a stickler for brush strokes and have used spray paint as a top coat in the past for patched up woodwork that needs good coverage.
wow, nice!
Nice job
Such a fantastic project and end result. The attention to detail is phenomenal as usual.
I've been watching/ subscribing to this channel for years, and now the followers are ramping up, I feel like one of those smug individuals that can say, I knew them before they were famous 😂.
All the best for 2018 guys!
Would have liked to see how to ran the handrail along the celin line
It didn't amazing job bringing that staircase back to what it used to look like.
Have you ever tried foam brushes and rollers for hi glossy paints, you have to throw them out more(don’t last long) but they don’t leave brush strokes and looks great on cabinets
Yeah they work great with gloss and varnishes. This acrylic eggshell dries super fast so not as easy to use as slower gloss paints.
This guy is like the white version of Chris Eubank, looks and voice lmao!
New word in my quiver: Bespoke.
AAAAHHHHH
Very good job, one more time ;-)
What type of paint you using oil or water based ?
Water based eggshell.
The Restoration Couple bit late now but an additive call flowtrol would have help improve the finish it would increase its viscosity and help with brush strokes etc
Amateur.
I suspect that he is an "amateur" as you so demeaningly call it, but if we're working on assumptions then I'd say he's a well educated and talented individual who hasn't trained in a trade but is extremely efficient at diy. I'd also guess his education and employment are the reason he can afford a period property in the first place. If you're envious, turn off the video.
Patrick Perry he has 27k more followers than you, so he's doing something right
Patrick Perry you're just jealous
what paint did you use? oil or water based?
Acrylic eggshell
