Okay... so I see that my bald spot is trying so hard to come back. Somehow, I got the idea that adding lemon juice or lime juice to my shampoo would really cut through and clean very well. What do you think about doing that as long as I don't leave it on the scalp longer than a minute?
No, that will just lower the pH of the shampoo enough to possibly damage your hair and scalp while making your shampoo detergent less effective. Use a shampoo marketed as clarifying or chelating and shampoo multiple times until it lathers generously, and maybe use a scalp scrubber.
What if I have a well for water and we have filters on our water heater. We naturally have a lot of minerals in the water. If I test the water, what am I looking for?
As far as I know, water doesn’t come in buckets. Don’t focus on the fact that she said “shower.” Focus on the fact that she said “hard water minerals.” If your water source has a high amount of dissolved solids, beware.
