Friendly neighbourhood Judo black belt here! I know Sanda and Judo are not the same, but throws are throws! So here you have a translation to Japanese of all the throws, with timestamps and links to videos!
0:04 ko soto gari to me (small leg reap/sweep) ruclips.net/video/jeQ541ScLB4/видео.html&ab_channel=KODOKAN I have no angle and the camera position is dog poop, so bear with me on this one
0:15 uki otoshi (floating drop) ruclips.net/video/kiLCfJk2mEA/видео.html This one can be either technique or brute force
0:18 Morote gari (double leg reap) ruclips.net/video/BHLQS4K85bs/видео.html&ab_channel=KODOKAN This is a variation of the double leg, not the standard
0:33 Sukui nage (scooping throw) attempt ruclips.net/video/QWdv1E9vg3o/видео.html He didn't grab him right, so it's difficult to achieve
0:36 Kuchiki taoshi (Inner single leg) ruclips.net/video/ZNL47q1aJNY/видео.html&ab_channel=KODOKAN This is used as a kick counter
0:41 This one is interesting. It reminds me of utsuri goshi (changing hip throw) mechanics ruclips.net/video/4pQd_bEnlf0/видео.html&ab_channel=KODOKAN, also looks like he's lifting him up to a single leg. I need help with this one for the name in Japanese!
0:55 Sukui nage attempt (same as 0:33)
0:58 Morote gari (double leg reap) ruclips.net/video/BHLQS4K85bs/видео.html&ab_channel=KODOKAN
1:04 His is just a bear hug and a push, it'd be too posh for me to try to give a Japanese name 🤣
1:25 Morote gari (double leg reap) ruclips.net/video/BHLQS4K85bs/видео.html&ab_channel=KODOKAN
1:32 Yet another morote gari or double leg takedown
1:47 Yet another one of those morote gari
2:00 FFS, too many double leg takedowns or morote gari (In my mind I'm begging for interesting throws to happen)
2:10 Tani otoshi (valley drop) ruclips.net/video/FIm6V2sAgb8/видео.html&ab_channel=Ochiru We use this one in Judo to counter when we get our partner's back (ffs, that didn't sound too well) when in combat
2:18 Another double leg or morote gari
Well, my thoughts. I do think that throws on a mat instead of in concrete are not as effective, and it has to be followed by some sort of ground grappling or ne waza to finish it. Some arm bar or choke. That's why our traditional judo brothers and bjj brothers are amazing at it. In my dojo we studied 50% grappling 50% throws, so we were at least somehow competent. In this case the tkwd guy was so concussioned because he was thrown into his knees, so he couldn't move properly at the end of the round.
What was tkd guy's issue? Tk kicks are amazing and scary, but you have to go for them and create proper space. The moment you go closer than kicking distance, pray you're not grabbed by the grappler. I do believe that a decent Taekwondo guy would destroy a grappler if he got a head kick, but closer than that they are doomed.
A pleasure to help you people with my thoughts, feel free to correct any names or to leave your insights! Oss!!!

Single and double leg are most effective takedown if the rules are MMA. It's really hard to execute a judo throw without push pull reaction due to the striking . Usually your opponent will try to break the clinch and punch you. I think best clinch is a bodylock and over under clinch. Neck and arms clinch isn't that good because your opponent will break it easily.

Those moves are in many grappling sports including judo and wreslting. I would say the throws are much more reminecent of wreslting as opposed to judo aside from the executed tani otoshi. Imagine how your judo would look like if you wore gloves and couldn't grab in the traditional sense AND without a gi. Not only that but you wouldn't gain points if your knee touched the ground too in sanda during any of the throws. You would a ton of PICK UPS like you do here. The way pick ups used to be performed in high level judo even. This guy in particular seems to prefer high crotches and doubles. I would say in the realm of grappling. These are not judo style throws despite these same throws being similar and performed in judo. They look more freestyle with the higher stance of judo.

This right here is one reason why I think wrestling would be a big part of most martial arts that are combat-focused, including arts that use weapons. It's just so easy to get into wrestling range if you're determined, and MMA strikers had to figure that out the hard way.

I feel bad for TKD guy. I don’t think he’s sparred with anyone not TKD before. He’s feeling like nothing he does works and he’s getting punished for everything he tries. And getting smacked into the floor is painful and exhausting even if you practice it a lot, let alone if it’s your first time.
It’s easy to be a back seat driver and talk about what he could have tried. But when you’re in a situation like that, with adrenaline and frustration both in overdrive, it’s almost impossible to take a mental step back and be creative and adaptive. I feel his pain.

TWD have low kicks but they’re too dangerous/ineffective for tournament fighting which is heavily restricted. It’s also, in many schools, reserved to point sparring where getting in close means your opponent will score against you (even if their technique doesn’t have any power behind it). Techniques like low kicks, knees and elbows exist in Taekwondo, but were reserved for self defense classes which were always practiced under much more controlled conditions than free sparring (mats, half speed etc.).

The sanda ruleset is distilled from cultural norms on throws. Any part of the body but the feet touching the ground? You're thrown. Throwing your opponent cleanly with no control/intent to follow onto the ground has combat applications. But throws are down how they are in sanda to suit the ruleset.

I've always had this theory that the kicks from Taekwondo are best used with sword in hand. Although TKD was created only recently during the 20th century, but many of its source arts like the kicking art of Taekyyon for example, were martial arts based on battlefield arts from when ancient Korea was still divided into 3 Kingdoms. It would explain why they focus more on training kicks as they didn't have to worry about hand strikes since they were using swords to block and strike up close while using kicks in between sword strikes and during a battlefield melee where multiple enemies are present.
