The Lincoln convertible that oozes by Campbell Hall about 2:10 into this has me hooked. We had troops in Vietnam, LBJ in the White House, and a campus that was transitioning from the previous decade into what would become a very different outlook within a few years. Read the Shkurti book Ohio State in the Sixties after viewing this.
I was a junior at OSU that year. Notice that the girls wear skirts, not pants. We were not allowed to wear slacks in the dining hall except once, when it was very cold and classes were cancelled. Notice also that we did not wear backpacks- you had to carry your books in your arms.
This deserves a much better transfer to digital. A good professional lab, say in NYC or LA, can do a much better job. Can you get funding from WexArts to do this?
Love the High St footage. Moe Glassman's at 16:33. (The Green Cab Glassman?) Long's, Hotel Wellington, Char Bar (18:27) (Met comedian Richard Lewis there. (Curb Your Enthusiasm)) Attended 1967 to 1971.
So cool. That’s pretty much what it looked like when I started in 1972 but we dressed in bell-bottoms and t-shirts, unless you were in the Greek system. High Street is completely soul-less now.
That was my freshman year. Brings back some good memories

Ah, the good ol days before campus partners.

A blast from the past: at 15:39 is the Burger Boy Fooderama where my future husband and I went on our first date! 😊

"High Street is completely soul-less now." Bingo...so sad

Heck, let's go see the movie "Mary Poppins" at 19:00 too!
I'm struggling to remember the exact name of that theater...
