A wonderful project. I love it. Small hint: you get the third loop easier, if you are making half double crochets in the round before, as the third loop comes out more in a half double instead of a single!
You are such an awesome instructor - I am a very consistent and accomplished crocheter and unfortunately I cannot understand patterns - everything I make that I do on RUclips works out perfect. Your one of the best instructors - I wish I could read patterns more efficiently but am very thankful for people like you that can explain the patterns- I love things that are complicated because in the end its worth the effort - Thanks again!!!
Gorgeous pattern. Thanks for that. I'm sorry, but listening to you was very painful. You are way too much. Just explain the pattern. there is no need for singing your words or laughing at yourself.
It is. It amazes me how people come up with such beautiful designs. I can picture something I want to make - even draw it out but can not figure out how to make a pattern. Math is my weakest subject. I love this so much- I purchased pattern even though I am more visual learner. Then I placed order for the yarn in these exact colors. I'm on square #6. Can't wait to finish and start attaching and doing border.
On last few rounds now, I've done the square in one colour only and will use it for a cushion cover. The square looks really beautiful but I could never make this again as it was too fiddly for me. I am in awe of your patience, all power to your hook and thank you for sharing
You've done the square. You have got the patience to do it! All you need now is to learn to love fiddly projects, because those are the prettiest to make.
I would classify this as intermediate, not amigarumi intermediate but, if you have experience with granny squares and a few different projects using all the stitches. For a shortcut to this, I’d recommend starting out with granny squares - you can make a lot of different kinds using different stitches in coordinating colors. This way you’ll learn the stitches and you’ll enough granny squares for a project - just seems them together and you’ll have a blanket or even a long sweater if you add sleeves and you can also sew them straight in a line for a scarf. Happy hooking!
Добрый вечер. Благодарю Вас за прекрасный урок. Я не знаю английского но внимательно следила за вашими руками и связала ваш квадрат, поместила его в центр моего пледа.
This is the second one of your patterns that I have done. Both are gorgeous and I was easily able to follow along. I like the banter so don't change anything! Perhaps it's because I love the accent? Talk all you want. I am using your large square patterns as part of a large afghan, like patchwork. Thanks.
Hi I’m following your pattern and the colours and it’s looking awesome. I found that instead of doing and square at a time I have started doing rest of the 15 squares at the same time , I find that it’s easier for me because I’m repeating the same stitches over and over so it’s easy to remember. Thanks for the pattern
just finished this square and it’s so cute!!!! thank you so much for explaining the pattern so much, i struggled so much with the back 3rd loop on the single crochets so i frogged that row and used half double to help myself and it worked out basically the same haha thank you again!!
This was amazing, I watched every second of this video. I'm very new to crochet and not ready for this complex pattern YET, but I have saved this video for that day in the future when I am. Thank you.
Hey Matthew, just remember: - Every pattern is nothing more than one stitch after the other. - The worst that can happen is that you need to frog some stitches. - Even when you screw up, you've learned something. But most importantly: enjoy crocheting! I started out making small amigurumi and plushy toys for the grandchildren of my sisters after seeing a YT video tutorial. My first project was a small teddy-bear and took me three weeks to finish. One year later I did my first "big" project: the Ubuntu CAL by Scheepjes, and that got me hooked. I finished the CAL in 3 weeks, even though it was intended for 12 weeks. Five years later and both my sisters are jelly of what their little brother makes. Mind you, each of my sisters has been crocheting for over 40 years.
Thank you so much, and I agree as per Stonytina5177 reply. Take it stitch by stitch. There is no race and without challenge we cannot grow. We've all been there and just think of all the possibilites once you do learn more stitches etc.
Have you decided to try it yet? It’s amazingly easy with the tutorial, and it looks much more complex than it really is!! I’m on row ten, and it’s been about an hour and a half. I’ll probably have this first square done in another two days (it will be my “sitting in bed preparing my brain for sleep” project for the next couple of nights), and I’m already daydreaming about the yarn 🧶 in my stash that will make a good compliment to the first color I chose. Even if you’ve forgotten this project, or already completed it, I hope you choose to tackle it! 🥰
I only started my crochet journey in October last year so very much a beginner, but i have managed to complete this and have now made 10 squares! Your explanations make this so easy for me and i can't wait to complete some of your other work ❤
Hi Emily, I am in love with this beautiful mandala Square & plan to make a poncho and a pillow cover. I just went to Ravelry & bought your patterns for this and the Escape Mandala. Thank you so much for creating this wonderful tutorial. Like with other amazing patterns - Sophie‘s Universe, etc., I so appreciate having both the written pattern and a video tutorial, for a complex and gorgeous project like this. 🤩🙏
Stunning ! I have been ill, and as soon as I am healed, I will be making this gorgeous piece of art. I just need to think of what I will make out of these squares, besides a Coverlet or Pillow Case, as I think this would make a splendid wearable. Thank you for this Beautiful Artistic Square ! 🌹
I am officially in love with this pattern tutorial!!! It has worked up unbelievably gorgeous in the 2 squares I have made so far 🥰🥰 you are a fab teacher and ur video tutorial is super clear! Thank you!! Oh & You are correct - the round of 3rd loops is a challenge and got a few choice words out of me the first time round 😂🙈 so the second square I had the idea to use my blunt darning needle to puff out all the 3rd loops before starting this round and this made them a million times more easy to crochet into 👌🏻😄🙌🏻 Can’t wait to make 4 more - I’m doing an ombré effect with 21 colours throughout the 6 squares & these will be the centre of a new blanket I’m having fun making for myself - I hope to add other smaller granny squares and borders etc around them to make myself a large rectangle blanket 🥰🥰🥰

Hello. I purchased your pattern through Ralvery as I fell in love with this beautiful design of yours. I am making the throw/blanket. I ordered the amounts you listed in the pattern for each color. I just realized I made an error on the last round of pistachio color of the square. I just left the error- it shows as a gap- completed square because I didn't realize I had done it until the next round in mustard color. I was wondering if the amounts of yarn specified allowed for any wiggle room, ie making an extra square to replace that one. I was afraid to frog it for that reason. Just wondering if I would have enough to do another square before I start attaching and making border. Sorry for length. Thank you again for such a beautiful pattern.
Hello there, sorry to hear about that. My recommendation would be to make another complete square and weigh it. As you have different tension from me, this is the best way to see if you have enough yarn. (Multiple the yarn weight by the number of squares you want to make) But if you're happy to frog, I would do that - as you should have enough Pistachio left over (depending on your tension). Also with acrylic, when you frog, and then crochet with it, you tend to end up with more yarn because it stretches a little bit too.
@theloopystitch thank you so much. I'm planning on making the 16 square blanket. I can order more if I need. I used the same yarn as you did to ensure same colors as I love these colors.

Hello there, sorry to hear about that. My recommendation would be to make another complete square and weigh it. As you have different tension from me, this is the best way to see if you have enough yarn. (Multiple the yarn weight by the number of squares you want to make)

@@theloopystitch Thank you Missy Em! I couldn’t click the “order now” button quick enough!
Now the hard part starts!
Do you sell the yarn used in the original pattern? I’d like to send any profits your way. You are so talented. I just found you and now I’m going to make this gorgeous pattern!
@ssoozee thank you so much. I do not sell yarn yet. That's my dream one day to have a yarn shop. I recommend Googling Stylecraft Special DK and buy near you or I think Wool Warehouse may do kits still.
@@theloopystitch Thank you again! A yarn shop … if anyone deserves a yarn shop it’s you, dearest. You’re definitely someone special, and I wish you all the best. I’ll keep a lookout for more projects and ideas from you! Thank you, Ms. Emily! 💖💖💖
Espléndido 😊
Thank you x
❤love it
Thank you so much
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Where can I find this yarn
I recommend Googling Stylecraft Special DK - then insert where you live - and find the cheapest. Wool Warehouse, Love Crafts are just a few big companies to name. But you might find some at smaller yarn stores :)
Is the yarn an 8/4 cotton?
Hello it'd Stylecraft Special DK acrylic an 8ply
@@theloopystitch Ok thanks - I’ll try to translate that to Swedish😅

Where can I purchase the pattern please
Hello, if you read the description, there is a link there 😀
