    Anthony Cardillo is quite the medical wizard, treating both humans and animals.
    Vet visits in my experience have only ever brought misery, so I'll probably end up becoming emotional when the game decides to go heavy

    Poor Ripper. :’( Such a cute St Bernard dog. I always lost points cuz I thought they had to put him down cuz of the cancer and his age. In Vet 2, he makes an appearance and its mentionned they just amputated the hind leg

    This game was a neat spinoff of the ER series! A couple of things:
    First, this game is pretty similar to Code Red in it's gameplay. But as many may already be noticing, this game also has some unpolished elements, such some cases having no music yet again, and no intro video. These parts seem to be pretty much fixed in the sequel. Still it's really nice to see a return to more cutscenes and also to see more humorous moments. Code Red felt like the most serious of the bunch.
    The cast in this game is pretty good as well. There aren't any actors here that had any previous major roles like in the previous ER games, but they all do a fine job. Get ready to hear A LOT of allergy talk, especially when you get Joaquin working with you with a dog patient. There's also not any crossover with the actors from other Legacy games, except for one Code Blue actor who will make an appearance down the road. See if you can recognize them!
    And last, a quick warning for anyone who may be squeamish to blood. This game has some cute elements, but there are a couple of grisly injuries later on. Get ready for that! Have fun!

    19:10 hold on a minute. the voiceover says Ming is a Siamese kitten, but the image they use to depict the animal is a calico kitten... 🤔I know this series does tend to reuse cases and patients sometimes, but was it really that hard to find a Siamese kitten for consistency's sake?
    I'm just being nitpicky of course- thanks for covering Vet Emergency! can't wait to see what you've got next for us, and a bit of a heads up just in case no one's mentioned it yet- VE2 does indeed reuse at least a couple of cases from VE1. I won't spoil which ones for you, in case you wanna cover VE2 next!

      Yeah that happens in a few cases - a Persian cat that is probably a domestic longhair, and an “angelfish” that is actually a goldfish. Don’t know why they did that.

    Hi, new viewer here. I got VE2 as a kid, so it's cool to see this series finally getting a serious playthrough/documentation uploaded! Looking forward to it!
    I never experienced the original VE so I was curious to see it here... and was surprised to see just how similar it is! VE2 polished up a few things (adding more guidance on what to do next after actions, and - most notably - adding a spoken summary of each case after you sign off, something I've noted the lack of when going through your ER videos), but other than those the two games appear to play pretty much the exact same. 5/8 of the cases in this video (and maybe a sixth, Griffy's seems familiar but I don't remember it specifically) are re-used in VE2 with few to no changes! Even the cases here that weren't copied have animal models that were reused in the second game.
    Do you know what you'll do for the re-used cases when you do VE2 (show them all again, skip them, something in between)? I'd suggest at least showing the spoken summaries of each even if you don't do anything else from them.
    I also liked for the Code Blue videos where you had at least a brief comment in the description of each video. Some small amount of commentary rather than simply presenting the cases would be neat to have.
    In any case, thank you for posting these!

      Hi, appreciate your comment! I’ve already played through VE 2 for myself and it definitely seems to be a direct upgrade. Although, unless I’m misunderstanding what you mean, as far as I can remember all the ER (on the PC) games I’ve played so far DO have spoken summaries for cases after completion. I believe that in Code Blue it was handled on a per-shift basis, so it would only start discussing them after every 2-3 cases.
      As for VE 2, I plan to upload it in its entirety, duplicate cases and all. It will make it more complete for documentation purposes, and be easier for people who only happen to watch the VE 2 videos.
      And sure, I’ll try to slip in more comments. I admit I got a bit lazy while uploading Code Red, and sometimes didn’t have much to say. It might be tough to throw in comments on the VE videos since they cover so many cases at once, but I do have thoughts on some cases so I’ll keep it in mind.

      @@PineCreamCone I guess I should have been more clear what I meant by summaries. Codes Blue/Red did include discussions of the cases, but those could often just go on tangents or only comment on what you did. What Vet 2 has that they lack is a part where one of the techs neatly explains what the patient's aliment was and what's needed for treatment.

    New format every two weeks is better than old format every week, so I'm excited for it! After these two are done, would you maybe consider doing Pet Pals: Animal Doctor (Wii) and Farm Vet down the line? Those will be the last two veterinary games without full coverage. Keep up the good work!

      @PineCreamCone  5 месяцев назад +1

      I definitely want to do Farm Vet! I can do Pet Pals as well. Both have been slightly on my radar, but I can bump them up a bit. And thanks!

    @PineCreamCone Hi Pine! Can you maybe play the cases in 911 Paramedic after you’re finished with Vet Emergency 1 and 2? The game hasn’t got a full playthrough yet, so I hope you can get the game and record some gameplay of it soon! And also, there is another Li game called Pursuit of Justice, in which you play as a detective, similar to the Forensics segments in Trauma Team. It’s also another cool game that you should definitely check out if you want to!

    • @PineCreamCone
      @PineCreamCone  5 месяцев назад +1

      Funnily enough, I remember getting ads for Pursuit of Justice whenever I quit the game in Code Blue and Code Red. I’m honestly not sure what I’ll do directly after VE 2, but I’ll definitely consider 911 Paramedic!

    Loving the new format! What (or rather, where) on Earth is the supervisor's accent (or trying to be)? England? Australia? NZ? South Africa? I can't work it out for the life of me lol (maybe it is revealed later, please don't spoil it haha!)
