I think what Wanda is talking about is very real, and I'm glad someone is addressing what a challenging upbringing can do to a person as times change but our reactions get grounded in the past.

I'm white as a sheet but my mom's acted just like this...absolute fun sponge because nothing in her life went in her favor and now I am a foster mom....and a way better mother than she was to me because I got my shit together and got some therapy....meanwhile she is milking a breast cancer diagnosis and her ONLY child won't talk to her.....that's how bad it got.

my mom used to take all the cushions off the couches and chairs and put them in a pile and then she would have us lean on her feet and she would just launch us at the cushion pile. And we would laugh and run back to do it again.

I’m literally only here for Wanda.
My mom and I used to play a game with the younger siblings called "Catch the Baby". I feel the rules are self-explanatory. So people would be over and my mom would need me to take the baby so she would just call for me and yell Catch the Baby then go back to what she was doing. I would Catch them and then go back to what I was doing. It always terrified whoever we had over but it was also always fun.

Literally losing my mind because I don't get to finish a single thought that comes up in my head without one of my kids screaming " *MOM!* LOOK AT THIS!" or " *MOM!* i love you." Or some random arguments EVERY 5 minutes.... The way they say *MOM!!* is SO JOLTING like something serious has/is happening lol and it pi$$es me off because I done 'bout had a heart attack or dang near cut my fingers off if I'm chopping onions or something and they come in behind me and say *MOM!!* can i have/go/do/I love you/he/she did/said/etc......then simultaneously while my heart is trying to slow down and my brain is trying to do *whatever the fu©k it does* in moments like these, they ask me whatcha doing and I'm like " *I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE! I FORGOT!* " ...(have you ever seen those old cartoons where someone could be relaxing or just minding their own business doing something and something comes up behind them and scares them and their soul leaps out of them, their bodies go stiff, their hair sticks straight up and all the color drains out of them and then they melt into a puddle?? Yeah. That's me every 2.5 minutes when I turn my back to do something, or start reading something, or turn around and my kids go *MOM!!!* ( just to say) "i love you.") ❤❤❤ I freaking love my kids lol this is how they remind me that I'm still alive and that this is not a dream...😊💕
