  • DON'T just click the buttons without reading them!!! When you log in to your omnitracs e log there are multiple things that have to happen. It has to check with the server that your password was right, it has to get your logs from the server, it has to ask you about unassigned drive time, about unassigned performance time, etc.
If you just click "OK" to everything you will likely mess up your logbook so you have to read everything carefully.
In this video we will show you how to click the right buttons so you don't get stuck with a problem to your logbook. Logging in to qualcomm omnitracs e log is very simple but you need to be patient and click the right buttons.

I have a question. When it says the drivers name then it drops down the name and it also says unidentified under it. What does that mean and can I remove that? I have tried everything that I can but it doesn’t allow me to remove it.

So trying to see if I understand. You are referring to when you go into Hours of Service and you are on the Summary tab is that right? And then towards the top it has that drop down with either your name or unidentified. As long as you can have your name selected it doesn't matter if unidentified is there. But if your name isn't there or it goes away and unidentified comes back up then it means you logged in incorrectly (used wrong username or password). Because it takes 5 minutes for the unit to contact the server and update everything, even if you log in incorrectly it will show up your name, but then if it realized you used wrong credentials it will switch back to unidentified.
