I have two 15 year old dogs and I know nothing is more unhinging than seeing your loved ones in ill-health and being unable to fix it. focus on the now; she's still here and you get to enjoy her. also funny to see you drying with paper towels. once i stayed at a hotel and stupidly used their bath mat to dry off. i had no idea what it was it just looked like a small thick towel but i did find it odd that it was so short. for some reason it was hung up with the towels instead of on the ground.

I had all the feels when you found out the door was open all night and everything was wet. We’ve all had those days when nothing seems to go right. But you handled it all while on the road, without the comforts of home. I’m honestly so envious of your courage and independence traveling solo like you do-it’s incredible. Thinking of you and Sky!

she always licks the fish I catch (and never eats it because she’s a gentle giant) but she also grew up being a boat dog her entire life and has been out on some bad storms with me before and has never been sea sick. Idk :/!
I am so happy. This guy is feeling better when you were tearing up in the truck my eyes literally started watering and my heart went out to you. But God is good. On another note. I get the neck thing too. It starts in my trapezius muscle and I can feel it starting in my lower shoulder- if I don’t massage that tension/knot ASAP I get excruciating neck pain the next day and can’t turn my head just like you. I get it like every other month, it’s so frequent! I may get Botox injections for it. Definitely look up exercises so keep your upper back and shoulders healthy since you’re sitting for long periods driving. I have a desk job and I think I just haven’t taken good enough care of myself. I’m only 40 😂 don’t let it get worse!

Every time my dogs get diarrhea or sick to their stomach. My veterinarian that I've had for years is great. If your dog gets diarrhea You should give them white rice cooked of course. And/or boiled chicken breast. It has worked every time my dogs get diarrhea for whatever reason. It really works. Also if your dog is constipated get a can of pumpkin but make sure it's pumpkin with no seasoning or spices nothing just plain pumpkin and give them a couple teaspoons. These really work naturally without medication.

I know it is hard when a pet is sick, I had a cat with cancer, and the vet said, there was nothing they could do and after that cat could not get out of the litter box, I had to have it put down, then I had a, actual, 21 year old cat developed kidney disease, and after one month of me putting an IV in him, just to hydrate him, I had to give up, not for me, but for the sake of my cat. I had a kitten, that ended up with fly larva in it, but did not show symptoms, until it was too late, and to end this, just two months ago my two-month-old kitten had a massive heart attack and died while laying on my lap. It is very hard losing pets, but others may not replace them but will fill your void with new love. The last thing you want to do, as I learned, is to let your pet suffer, because that is harder to deal with, than anything else. My prayers are with the two of you, and your dog's recovery. Take care.

I have an english cream golden so I know how it feels. Mine has seizures. We love them no matter what though. Skye will get through it. Pumpkin or chicken and rice will help with an upset stomach

Mackerel is not a fish that most people give enough respect to for table fare. Good job!!
not in the states!! but even in Prince Edward’s Island people were only fishing for them to eat! I was so shocked because people in the states don’t eat them, well some but not many
@ facts! Stateside lots of people use them as bait! I feel like people get it twisted with mackerel thinking it’s like the stuff in a can. That’s not bad, but fresh is another story altogether!
Pumpkin is great for dogs. For diarrhea give 100% pumpkin ( canned) 2 to 3 spoonfuls. For constipation mix with water. It works almost like metamucell in us. It can help fix both. Hope this natural remedy helps sky. Run it by your vet!! Best of luck from a true dog person!!
NECK FIX. Same thing happens to me once/twice a year. Whichever way you can't turn your neck, sleep on your opposite side the following night... forcing your neck to correct. Mine is fixed by the morning now. Hopefully works for you too!
I’ve slept wrong before & woke up & spent a good portion of a day unable to turn my head left, when driving!! Scary!! And yes, it sucks!!
