I discovered this crocheting pattern in the early 80's. I've made several afghan many for babies because I live in the northern part of the states, very cold winters to travel our babies to the sitters in early morning hours. You'll never regret learning this pattern. I've made it in triple colors and really beautiful to look at in colors for baby afghan. Enjoy!
Yes this was called The afghan stitch at the beginning.....love seeing videos on this stitch I learned so long ago....67 yrs ago❤....now that I'm getting older it great to refresh ones memory ❤by watching....thk you...I still make potholders and washcloths this way...❤
I thought the Afghan stitch was the same as the moss stitch. That's what I've heard anyways. I thought it was a bit strange for a stitch to have 3 different names as there was another I had heard was used for the moss stitch. It's not uncommon for people to lose knowledge over time.
Wow Thanks! Been crocheting here since I was 7, my Granny taught me. Through the years I’ve made many things and picked it up and put it down many times. I have a Tunisian crochet hook from years ago and I was interested but never looked into it again. ADD Brain lmao! I may be ready now 😅 Thanks, New Subscriber and Follower! I found you on Pinterest by the way.
Yay!! Thank you so much 😊! I’m a fellow ADHD’er and BIG Tunisian projects bore me tbh. But this little one is just perfect. It works up pretty fast and somewhat mindless. I’m so glad we found each other!

What is done to keep stitches on the hook when the pattern is longer than the hook?
