- On August 13, 2022, a few minutes after midnight, officers in Morris, Illinois rolled up on a black pick-up truck sitting idle on Illinois Avenue. The driver’s side door was wide open and an officer found the driver barely conscious in the driver’s seat. He made contact with the driver, 43-year-old Douglas Anderson, who could barely put a sentence together. Douglas was visibly very intoxicated but refused the field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested and taken directly to the police station. There, he refused to take an evidential breathalyzer test as well. He then did nothing but berate the officers, goof off, and overall make their job difficult until the officers decided to wrap up the processing prematurely and take him to jail. While they were trying to re-cuff him for transport to jail, Douglas hit one of the officers and had to be wrestled to the ground. He was charged with aggravated DUI and aggravated battery to a police officer. A year later in October of 2023, he pleaded guilty to the aggravated battery charge as a part of a plea deal and was sentenced to 180 days in the county jail, 90 days of house arrest, and 4 years of probation.

Resulting from this incident, Douglas Anderson was convicted of Aggravated Battery on a police officer (a class two felony) and sentenced to four years of probation. He was also sentenced to 180 days in jail, 90 days on home-electronic monitoring.
The cop took 2 photos (not only one).

In Sept 2017, he was arrested and charged with domestic battery.
In August 2017, he pled guilty to two counts of Aggravated DUI while driving on a revoked license -- both class four felonies -- and was sentenced to 2 concurrent years in prison on each
count -- and improper lane usage.
Between August 2000 and April 2001, he had 3 prior DUI arrests within ten months.
