- A portion of a session with my student Muneeb, where he was learning specific familiar patterns in maqam bayati. In previous sessions we worked on the patterns and structure of bayati etc, so all that context is missing from this video. Here we were working on taking a familiar pattern and then working on replicating it in different ayat to help build more familiarity and confidence - so that he can open anywhere and intuitively know how to start reciting with maqam bayati.

@@AsadAsad_1 possibly, I'll try to keep posting. I have a lot of classes recorded but we haven't kept really good track of them, so it's a whole bunch of zoom recordings. Often I've had to delete recordings just to free up space, so I've lost some good sessions. But I'm trying to keep things better organized now so that it's easier to find and post videos like this
Just wanted to point out that there was a mistake on the brother's recitation at the beginning of surah al Rum, BaarakAllaahu feekum. Beautiful recitation!
