In a world that can be so seriously sad...it is a joy to listen to your humour mixed in with your gospel teaching. Please don’t change anything about the way you teach together! You are both awesome! Some of us tune in for that very reason...to have the ability to smile and giggle as we learn!
When I hear or read about lions and lambs together in Heaven I hope to see my cats and dogs there.
Not sure if Emily and David read the comments. But I just wanted to say thank you so much for being willing to give of your time to share your insights of the scriptures. As someone who has a hard time reading the scriptures, I love being able to have resources that enable me to learn and feel the spirit. So again thank you so much!!

I love so much the Book of Mormon, and definitely the study during this year makes me feel and recognize a familiar spirit in each new chapter of this sacred book. No matter how many times I read it, I am deeply enchanted and greatful for having this gift of God in my life.

Thank you so much Dave and Emily, for helping me understand the scriptures better!! I have never been so excited to study the scriptures. These few chapters describe a lot of what's going on in the church lately. Strong, faithful members of the church tve fallen away and now trying to convince others to do the same😪😪😪
Yes, opposition is growing and that might be frightening at times, but with great opposition and a "holding tight" to the iron rod, temple attendance, creating sanctuaries of faith, comes the GREATEST burning of faith as an action and trust in Jesus. Create sanctuaries of faith! I LOVE this! This TRULY will take having church in our homes 7 days a week!
I love the way you guys present the scriptures, and love that you used the Sidewalk Prophets song this week. (Honestly, that song was what came to my mind when I started reading this week!) Thanks for helping me see more in these scriptures, it's making a real difference in my life! 💖

I appreciate it so much! regarding timestamp 11:18 - I did go back and listen to the talk President Nelson gave when he announced the Come Follow Me program and he doesn't say a number he says "The adversary is increasing his attacks on faith and upon us and our families at an exponential rate. To survive spiritually, we need counterstrategies and proactive plans. Accordingly, we now want to put in place organizational adjustments that will further fortify our members and their families"
I am grateful and so thankful to GOD for the guidance that we now receive in these Latter-Days - we will be able to weather the storm if we #hearhim - it is a very exciting time to be alive!
Don't you ever just want to sit down in a daze for hours pondering upon these glorious truths! I do! But i already spend too long studying to spend more time in a daze. I love these lessons! Thank you for sharing your time and gifts!

Yesterday I was listening to another lds youtuber. It was some good stuff. My 14yr old started to whine about how he didn't want to watch it. I totally started thinking how teenager-y he was being, but then he said, "Can't we watch Don't Miss This?"

Wow! How important is 2 Nephi 26:24-33 today! He does things for the benefit of ALL men.
I think you are right that the division between the two churches mentioned is about ideas. It may be as clear cut as a person obviously rebelling against God or obviously following Christ. I think it may many times be the subtle ways that we may think and act contrary to how Christ would act and think, how he would desire us to act and think.
We literally haven’t sent our kids to “school” in 20 years but it’s because we homeschool 😂😂
Mosquitos will probably still be around as they too were created..... but won’t bite 😉😀

11:38 - Unto him that receiveth, I will give more.
It goes on about revelation and knowledge and understanding and it isn’t limited to the priesthood or the temple or anything else you mentioned but it includes all of it. Ask and we shall receive. The time when knowledge will FLOW from heaven to His seeking people is NOW.
It's interesting. Not sure I share their interpretations of all of this. I'd take this all with a good sized grain of salt.
10:11 - We don’t have a choice anymore. We were saved for this time, right?
14:25 - Sometimes we ignore what scares us and gives us anxiety and thus let it happen to us anyway. But we say “I didn’t know about it” like we’re blameless at that point.... nothing is worse than willful ignorance. Wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion... wo be unto him that ignores the word of God, the warnings, and eventually upholds these secret combinations by omission.
And secondly, one becomes anxious or scared because one’s faith is not in the right place and/or one’s priorities are not solely the Kingdom of God... possibly enjoying their vain imaginations of their life and how they think it is supposed to go rather than accepting that their life isn’t THEIRS because Jesus paid for it in full, it is His, it belongs to God... who are we to think we know better and how our lives should turn out?..
Bring on the truth. I want it all. Feast upon the Word! We don’t have to be scared... that’s hat Satan wants.

.....like the ‘government’ that restricts your free agency and dissolve the family like Lucifer did/does.
Instead of the word “church”, in describing the church of the devil; could we substitute the word “organization(s)?
I honestly think of it like people. Like many, and me personally, believe the church of Christ/ body of Christ is as much a church as it people who believe on his name, so the great an abominable church can be people in their acts.
But that's just my personal view probably not doctrine don't quote me, results will vary. Lol

You mentioned the Book of Mormon Reference Companion by Largey in one of your videos to dive deeper in our study of the Book of Mormon. I got a copy and feel a little overwhelmed flipping through it. How do you best suggest using this alongside our BOM weekly readings/lessons?

David goes back to 1 Nephi 13:5 at 3:15 in the video, and discusses the Great and Abominable Church. A great article to read on this subject is from BYU professor Stephen E. Satan rages in the hearts of men now....and lull others into passivity.....that's going on now
I like the analogy I heard a while back that Satan gives us a fake - a pacifier - we get nothing out of it.... he lulls us into carnal security with a lullaby and puts on a carnal security blanket and helps us fall asleep and then when we are sleeping and don't know what is going on around us... he leads us carefully down to hell or to the Crib - satan is only applying what we have always done - soothing and pacifying us with what feels good and we "sadly" sometimes fall for it. grateful for the Book of Mormon that gives us the instruction manual on what to follow and the tips and tricks satan uses to deceive us.
Really like your lessons just donr care for the nonsense in the beginning of each one.

I love that we can laugh and enjoy while learning gospel topics. I’d take that any day verses the dry lecturers that just put me to sleep. Thank heavens for those that have a sense of humor and can breathe some life into Isaiah.
Find another "Go Follow Me", there are several out there.
Kay, you can’t give any constructive criticism anymore. Not even in or about Church. The knee jerk answer is always, “don’t come then, don’t watch then, no ones asking you to watch.”Etc etc. ad nauseam. Some subjects are not meant to be laughed at. How many teachings from Our Lord......did he laugh at? Or laugh while He taught? This is our souls. Those who laugh have never been in the gaping jaws of hell. It’s terrifying. It’s real. Every decision matters.
Cheri Nelson There was nothing constructive about it. It was destructive. Seriously, no one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to watch this. If it isn’t your style then there are thousands of other channels to choose from. It’s ridiculous to assume a channel will cater to your style. If you want dry boring content, there certainly are channels out there for you. But as for me and my house we know that men are that they might have joy. We laugh because we HAVE experienced hell and understand the joy of redemption.
You two help motivate my scripture study every week. Love your insights, love the humor, love the joy you both exude.
