When I installed Minecraft a while ago I didn't even know what a Warden was. First world, first cave I go into, I find sculks all over the place so I walk near them, then the guy comes out of nowhere and beats the shit out of me 💀💀

That today's kids will fear the damn WARDEN.
I remember when I was 9 I used to play on bedrock edition and everytime I saw an out of place block (which is usually just because of some goofy world generations) I instantly delete that world thinking it’s herobrine

My favorite method is to make an iron golem, let it attack the warden for me, and to heal it repeatedly with iron ingots, it takes like 20, and then when I think the warden is low I hit it a couple of times for kill credit (this makes it instantly re-target)

@@KatieHunimeh.. the books are good and God-Apples spawn a bit often, but the sneaking enchantment and recovery compass are the only unique things from the Ancient City so I feel its not very rewarding.

You can just use turtle master II potions. They slow you down significantly, but give you resistance 4 (enchanted golden apples only give 2), making it so that the warden can barely damage you. On normal difficulty, along with prot 4 netherite and gapples, it did half a heart at best. On hard it ticked a bit more, doing up to a heart, but really a set of turtle master and prot 4 netherite, a few enchanted golden apples, and a bit of practice is all you need.
Add potion of swiftness to offset the speed debuff from turtle master
@@ReaprrXBL its slowness 6 vs speed 2 so not all too useful, especially since the warden will be knocking you around anyway. There are of course other things you can use as well, like for example weakness, firework crossbows and whatnot, but this gets the job done and I don't want it to seem like something that will take months of prep.
Ohh and I forgot to mention strength. Thought I already said it in the original comment but definitely use strength if you want to take it down faster.
@Reenokop I agree. The strength and weakness potions help ease the difficulty. I don't really find the warden too difficult really. I think everyone else just finds the deep dark scary. I always do a run through the biome without anything but torches, a water bucket, a night vision potion, and/or wool if anyone I'm with doesn't want the warden, but most of the time we like the company.

iron stone diamond and netherite axes do the same crit damage but each higher level just has some more durability so id probably recommend sharpness netherite swords

The warden uses the sonic boom attack when your too far away for it to hit you with its melee attack. I noticed that even just running away and it chasing you itll decide to use the sonic boom attack even if it's right behind yoy

Good tip guys, don’t run from him too much, it creates more panic. Chugging down your resources too soon (like full naked health) Would waste it as you still have a potion effects behind you. Also you are able to predict his moves and dodge his attacks. Just look at his motions and point out if it is long range or short range attacks. Good luck everyone

When it comes to the Warden, it's not can you fight it, but should you fight it.
My best advice if you spawn it by accident Just run Don’t fight it unless you put a beacon in the ancient city with resistance or Strength I would say resistance because the sonic boom attack does do a lot of damage even with god apples you will still struggle And also did a recent test if you use 15-30 end crystals you can kill the warden do it one at a time because if you do all at once you can get yourself killed so my best advice for killing it with end crystals dig to bed rock and place 2 if you do 2 get 20 to 60 end crystals
It's not about the Sonic boom doing a lot of damage, basically armor and enchantments can't affect the Sonic boom, so the same damage you take with no armor is the same damage you'll take with God armor with the Sonic boom

The Warden, is an interesting mob. It made a defense mechanism, teaching itself that anything could be a danger and take advantage of its disability to see.
This guy's health is 250 hearts and he is still somehow not a proper boss mob

First time i encountered one was on my friends realm in a deep dark cave. The cave was too small for the Warden to navigate. So i just kept killing him through a one block hole with my bow. He'd hit us every now and then with that blast he does but i was surprised he wouldn't break blocks.
It’s quicker with respawn anchors or end crystals, but since its punch deals like 3 hearts through prot5 neth armor and you need so many enchanted gapples just to survive the sonic booms long enough to kill it, the beat strat is to scream and run away

I actually beat the warden with a few golden apples (i have 3 stacks of em and i used like 11 on the warden dont fight this thing on survival if u dont wanna waste resources) the warden is still pretty dumb i still got to a point if digging a lot thru a wall and just bow spamming him so u can also do that but i still dont recommend it its a waste of arrows just run away for a while till he stops going into hunt mode then just let him despawn or explore another area the warden isnt worth wasting resources on due to its health (also the creator of the video im not being toxic or anything but the axe is too slow for it if u wanna fight it atleast apply strenght with the axe)

I experimented full netherite with max enchantments accessible along with maxed out sharpness netherite sword and it just took me 1 enchanted grapple, 1 strength 2 potion and 1-2 health splash potions to kill this nightmare in 20-25 hits. Against the current version of the warden, go full head on. Their beam cannot be blocked so cover minimal distance. If you don't have a enchanted grapple, the best substitute is Regeneration 2 splash potions, but it will take up more space. You'll need at least 4 Regen 2 splash potions to aid you in this fight.
The experiments are done in hard mode

You can dodge the beam with ender pearls if you time it correctly, using water to slow him down is also extremely helpful
I remember when i was 9 or 10, i got minecraft, i wasn't scared of mobs or anything or cave noises. Then, i figured out the myth of a herobrine. After that, every time i played minecraft, i always felt WATCHED. I was hella scared of those cave noises, and i would never enter a cave, and I would always play on peaceful. Literally even scared me to death to play alone. I go into caves alone with my volume all the way down because those cave sounds scare the shit out of me.

So, in one of the snapshots, he had extra range on his fists, and could swim faster than a player (including flowing water) but they for some reason, removed it and gave him the sonic boom instead. Could of had both but whatever.

It’s ancient city chest that give you the good items, warden is just a punishment for failing to stay quiet. Killing him would also not bring any significant advancement towards exploring the ancient city since you can still accidentally summon another one.

@@randomplayer8759 yeah didn't need a single enchanted golden apple you have beacon potions and even tipped arrows if bedrock because resistance 2 an extra duration weakness arrow is 30 seconds on warden and with regen two with max netherite armor you heal as fast as you take damage for 30 seconds pair that with strength potion netherite sword it's like 22-29 sword swings to kill the dude and can have tipped turtle master arrows extra duration for 5 seconds of slowness 4 paired with beacon speed two to out maneuver and place some trap or use ender pearl to escape then bow him to death how to kill/ evade warden on easy and the evade method works on any difficulty also have bottles of enchanting to repair armor

@@RaizarYT thats not true, if you were wearing Armour even a little less OP than that in the video the wardens repeated attacks would literally outdo the healing effects of a God apple. The Warden hits hard. it takes less than 2 statistical hits for the Warden to kill you with full iron armour, you can't reverse those effects with a God apple.
You still need to have the awareness to repeatedly eat those gapples consistently to keep the absorption and healing rates up. If you look at the video the guy was eating gapples and as soon as the golden hearts ran out the warden started to put a dent into the characters main HP, despite him having Regen IV cuz of Gapple and full netherite enchanted armour.

Minecraft veteran here. Years went by with no knowledge of updates after the 1.9 combat update and recently decided to install the game again and just play some good old Minecraft. I knew some things would be different but this.. this was a traumatic experience hearing all that yelling with blindness effects. I honestly was this close to quitting and I thought my game was possessed or something
The warden is truly something to fear. Probably shouldn’t ruin your experience by watching a cringe guy killing the warden in creative mode.
I once made the warden fall into the void in creative. He took like 40 seconds to die.

I love the concept of the warden but its ranged attack is the biggest flaw of its existence. cant even make good survival horror maps without it firing through the ground.

you should use a sword for higher dps and use thorns for extra damage im a bed rock player and its funny how the axes in bedrock can now disable shields but they all have 1 less damage then swords so you need both in combat

It was still kinda difficult even though I was completely covering him in bullets using RPK machinegun...
I have noticed that you tried to use a shield to block the warden’s sonic shrieks, but in reality you can’t block those attacks, that’s why they are so hard to deal with. Also is the difficulty easy since from what I remember the warden should deal a lot more damage

Also, here's some general tips for fighting the warden for people who want to kill it.
Make sure you have a solid supply of God Apples. On normal mode I needed around 5 god apples to kill him without popping a totem.
Play hit and run with this boss. Just run from it and hit it with your axe every now and then. (Or just turn around and start shooting it with a bow on bedrock since it seems slower on bedrock)
When it spawns, stay farther away from it and shoot it with a bow. It'll do the screaming animation, which allows you to shoot it a few more times before it starts to chase you, thus getting more damage.
Use a strength 2 potion if you can.
Night vision is a must.

Well. I guess there IS a way to drastically reduce the effects of the sonic boom.
I used 9 end crystals, a prebuilt obsidian structure made to take advantage of the wardens height, and a couple god apples because the strat didn’t go as smoothly as it did when I tested on a primarily creative world.

How do i find pilllagers ,i cant find them cuz the village they raided is in a deep water fall cave system and all i hear is hornss and pillager moans
