- I found 50 genius tips and tricks that'll help you survive the warden in survival (or hardcore) Minecraft! These tips and tricks will help you escape the warden, trap it and even kill it! The Minecraft wild update 1.19 adds a crazy new mob called the warden to Minecraft and it is dangerous. So I did some testing and found some tricks to outsmart the warden. Some of my favorites include shrieker suppression which is a super cool trick.

I did not know about the wall it's very interesting
I found another way to beat the warden. Just put down 2 water buckets 4 blocks away from each other. Go through and the warden can't touch you. You can spam your bow until the warden dies. If the warden is about to use the boom attack, just step a few blocks back, and it can't hurt you with the boom. You can just repeat the bow attack until the warden dies. It even works on hard difficulties.

@@DashPum4 This method is great because you can do very early in the game. The warden can't hurt you; you don't need armor, shield and enchant. You only need 2 water buckets, a bow, and plenty of arrows. However, the downside to this method is that you have to master the water bucket placement. If you only drop down 1 water bucket, the warden will just walk around it and knock you down. If you put down the 2 water bucket late, then the warden will just cross it and smash you to pieces. If you do not master it yet, you could dig a pit, plant wither roses, and place open-trapdoors around it. Just jump across the pit, and the warden will drop in the pit of wither rose and slowly dies. It even works with powder snow too.

For projectiles, use eggs. They'll spawn chickens which will further distract the warden.

There is also a method where you can use the noisemakers to get the warden to go in the nether and then destroy the portal

I lost my hardcore world of 3 years yesterday because I logged out near an ancient city and when I logged in, I placed down my shulker box to get my potions of night vision, not knowing that those shulkers can spawn under the floors. I only got one warning from opening the shulker, and when it closed, a warden spawned. Since I had no night vision on. It got dark. I ended up throwing an egg and threw a second one in less than 5 seconds and the warden ran to me. Killed three totems before I flew away and as I was drinking my night vision to kill off the darkness, I crashed onto a wall and died from kinetic damage. Saddest way to go on hardcore

Had to loot 20 city’s before I got the armour trim, what I learned to loot the city’s really fast:
- get a elytra
- get a netherite axe
- as soon as you‘re in the city fly on top of the portal, but make sure that you clear of all the possible shreeker from the top of the portal and the inside
- fly from the top of the portal to a chest, cut down the chest (u could go for another as well if you are fast)
- fly back to the portal
- if a warden spawned and is NOT in giga mode, simply Continue with the steps on another part of the city
- if the warden goes into giga mode it’s faster to kill him with a bow from the top of the portal, he won’t reach you up there, just make sure that he can walk all the way to the portal
- don’t use ur main armour, besides the elytra und feather falling boots you need no armour, place a bed on top of the portal and set ur spawnpoint to the top with a spare elytra.

bro tysm it fucking worked brilliantly. As soon as the warden spawns once you go to the top of the portal he crawls back into the ground since there's no other mobs to distract him

@@habibi9612 only had the spare elytra at the spawnpoint if I die so I can simply fly back down fast and collect all my stuff
You can also easily kill it with a bow from on top of the portal

Imagine someone has too much trouble defeating the Wither, so they spawn them in the deep dark and get a warden to help out.

Old video, but I'll share my strat anyway in case someone finds it again. A strategy my friends and I developed was that we'd build a safe house like 100 blocks away from the ancient city with chests and beds and crafting tables, and what we'd do is we'd put all of our items in a chest and set our spawn point in the bed.
And then what we'd do was take a diamond hoe with some level of efficiency (we had villagers so this was mo objects), and a couple bottles of night vision, speed, and if we had it, jump boost, and then we'd basically just jump into the city, and run around at top speeds breaking any shriekers we could find, spawned wardens be damnes.
And then when you'd die, you'd just chill out at the safe house until everyone was done and the wardens had time to despawn, and then you could loot freely.
That sounds really fun, probably not as viable in single player but with some friends it’s perfect.
Would lose a lot of exp, but definitely seems the most hilarious. Just wreak havoc on the city until all the guarding skulk shriekers/ sensors are destroyed
I usually use water buckets to trap and pin the warden to a wall so that it can’t advance. From there, with a Power V bow, it’ll take 21 shots. Just eat food in between getting hit by beams and try to stay at the limit of its range and the fight is free
I killed more than a hundred wardens, cause a friend of mine made a warden farm, nametagged all of them and they escaped to the nether and overworld

One madlad advise from me is to bridge some blocks above the ancient city and just rain down TNT on the shriekers and then clear off the sensors with Hoes. I used less than 40 TNT for a whole Ancient City
Good advice but there would probably still be some shriekers left over that are hidden, and this isnt a very cheap option
@@DashPum4 Depends on the city. My first city had no bidden shriekers, but my second had at least two
The best thing that I do that I never hear anyone mention is I break chests instead of opening them. When you open them, you make an opening noise and a closing nose, which will be two activations unless you're ridiculously fast. Breaking them will only cause one activation if there are hidden sensors and shriekers around. The other thing I do is bring a grindstone with me so I can get experience from all the enchanted stuff I would normally throw away, which is most of it when I'm on my 6th city and I'm just looking for the armor trims.
do you use /locate to find them, or just look naturally? i feel like it would take forever just aimlessly searching under every mountain I find

For those without elytra. Running is perfectly fine if you do it the moment he starts spawning. I usually run to my safe spot which is a waterfall that takes me up but if I (for some reason) don't have a safe spot then I run a bit (for those 5-7 seconds when he spawns) and then just build up 20 blocks (if the ceiling is too low then as high as I can and then crouch-build a bridge away from him).
i put a nether portal in front of the main portal bt i failed bc of the darkness effect i also used few ender pearls to reach the portal bt nothing. the only escape was pilling up😂😂 i had like 3 wardens under me 😂😂
When I go into an ancient City I dig 20 blocks into a wall and make a safe room so the warden is out of range and I can store the loot

My favourite trick is the iron golem, because i didn't know you could heal iron golems with iron.
Bring an ender chest with you. Every time you get something good from the city, you can place it down, drop the loot in, and break the chest. That way even if things go wrong and the warden kills you, your loot is safe.
I came here after being swarmed by a couple wardens for the first time after not playing for months 😂
While the wardens spawn, just be quick and loot all the deep dark biome. Not to mention the fact that spawns another 10 wardens, just be quick.👌

If your in lategame with a elytra you can bring a night vision potion and raid the city incredibly easy. Since you can just fly to the chest structurs and even if you spawn a warden if you fly away the shriek wont be able to reach with as little as 1 duration 1 rocket

watching this makes me want to try again after dying a whole lot moments before the video lol, personally i find flying in the air still causes vibrations for some reason and i cant see through the darkness effect so i hit walls and land near other shriekers and then theres a whole army of wardens chasing after me
Memorize the location of the central portal and land on it. You will hit the wall a few times but with good enough armor you'll be fine

Tip: For a cheaper and faster to build noise machine you should built a mob farm above the city and make the mobs fall to it and land on water.they will make so much noise and will allow to loot the city safe
@Yout-hw1ko its not efficient tho because most of the time an ancient city is probably far away from your base, and even making a simple mob farm would take at least an hour. You're better of just raiding it regularly (By regularly I mean sneaking around because some of the ideas in the comments are absolutely insane)

The easiest solution is just to pillar 20 blocks up with wool if the warden spawns and then to wait 5 minutes. Done.
I know I’m late, but the ancient city spawns with so much gray wool I. The walkways that if you bring shears, you can get through many shears before you’re finally done collecting wool. This is useful if you don’t want to make a shee farm

The moment i saw noise machine my only thought was "Oh my God poor ancient creature what have they done to you". I actually feel so bad about him what have he done to you.
I came to this video to learn tricks how to make him my pet and build him a nice wool room.
Poor ancient creature that tries to kill you if you make any noise and deals 22.5 hearts of damage. It also hoards so much good loot for itself, even though it cant use enchanted golden apples or swift sneak books. So i feel justified in torturing and killing it

Instead of telling us which key to use for crouching you should say crouching as I would expect most people to have their keybindings set differently.
Shift for me causes sprint. CTRL is used for crouching.
I still make vibration when crouching and eating.
And when falling more than 2 blocks.
Don't use a bow. Fire a bow creates noise.
Breaking a Shrieker during a shriek causes your warn count to immediately go to 4, spawning a Warden.
Healing an Iron golem makes noise. Eventually, his anger meter for you will outweigh the one for the golem.

I use a hit and run tecnique with the elytra, i go to the top of the portal thing to look around for chests with night vision then fly down to them,quickly take the loot and then fly back over the portal by remembering itxs position since the warden has spawned and i can't see, put the loot in shulkers, after looting the everything i look back to see usually a dozen wardens that can't reach me

Can you use a record player as a noise machine? I'm thinking of playing a music disk off the jb somewhere in the city, then whilst the warden is pissed at jb, trap it in wool, get a dispenser (pre built before spawning) and a redstone clock (the faster the better) and spam tent onto the warden, blowing it up or alternatively spam harming II potions and Poison potions, to destroy it while it stays pissed at the intact record player, and remains trapped in wool.

I think the method with 2 tradoors and 2 Sensors are the best while you are just looting stuff.

If possible ... just aktivate peacfull mode ... the warden cant spawn in this mode.

U crazy wool trick can make it so that wardens can’t even spawn with a noise machine at a self spawned/mined shrieker constantly activating
If you drop items on top of a sensor it will distract the warden
What about using amethyst blocks as a noisemaker and flowers as a scent cover?
Amethyst blocks dont make noise on their own, and since they make noise by being stepped on or placed, the warden would recognize that you made the sound and get mad at you. The flowers thing just doesnt work because the warden can only smell players, and flowers in minecraft do not give off scents (at least it isnt a built in mechanic)

100% sure the Warden ignores your armor value and buffs he could whoop me wearing spawned in 255 protection each type of armor and still got hurt pretty bad per swing.
