Netherite is one of the most difficult materials to get in Minecraft. It could take you forever to find enough ancient debris for all your netherite gear. And besides that, you will also need the smithing template, which is even more rare. But in this video, I will show you the 4 fastest ways to find ancient debris and the smithing template.

How to find your seed in Java Edition

@@TheMineMentor A good tip I like to use is to bring a ender chest into the treasure room bastion, and set it down next to the chest with the netherite upgrade in it so you don't have to worry about losing it on the way back. (And of course place another ender chest in your base so you can get the items inside when you get back safely) otherwise great video✌👽

I just have to get up off my lazy butt and go to my computer and stomp some rear in order to get some full another kit for the survival world that I've been playing since 2017.
I have an absolutely massive sheep farm with a couple of mods that are very simple, basically one of them allows me to turn wool into string. Which I think is nonsense that in the vanilla game you can put four string in a crafting table and create wool but not the other way around which I believe is crazy.
So besides that and a backpack mod, and some others, I will be able to take a lot of wool and a lot of wooden planks. Hell, you know what I can do? I can use the wood from the Nether forests and I can just have a whole backpack full of wool, then I can get as much wood as I want from the nether and I won't even have to worry about it.
I cannot play without modded, the vanilla games never the same without it.
But you're so good at what you do You make it even seem fun for me.
Maybe I just need friends.

a method I personally also use is to dig a 1x2 tunnel on a chunkborder and then turning to the side, mining a straight line in the wall while moving to the side
this will uncover a lot more blocks that the 2x2 tunnel and will yield a bit more from my experiences

To get template i also recommend to use upgrade (8:00 minutes) invisible potion, u just need that + u have also to remove all your equipment (gold armour piece too) and no one inside there will attach u. Bring just for being safe at 100% and u want to explore it well 3/5 potions ❤

There is another method which is late game but the most efficient you need an elytra,fire res.. potion,pickaxe,fireworks and a texture pack :-Obvious Debris and jump in a lava pool in the nether
alot of debris form under lava pools and use the elytra to go quickly in the lava will using a fire res potion

How tf is he mining without encountering lava pockets? I swear to god i mine 3 blocks and lavas everywhere but he mines the whole damn nether and nothing.
When mining with a instant pickaxe, stand on y12, don't sprint and spin the mouse around mostly up and down, try to mine at max range when you can. I find it to be the quickest and easiest.
@@cvd1 Personally I just change direction or fire resistance potions. not sure if any more or less of an issue using the other methods.

really good video, one tip I have for the bed method is instead of using this slab method, you can just mine both layers, place a bed on the floor and place a block between you and the bed. If you use the bed over the top of the block, you will take minimal damage as well. This is easier to do since you don't need slabs and can just use netherrack you pick up.

Tip for the beds mine 3/4 block in front (only top lane) then last 2 mine those then place bed there its just a little easier

A tip if you have an iron farm is to use stacks of empty buckets to grab lava. If you get a few obtrusive lava sources in your tunnel this is the way to clear them in seconds. And since you have an iron farm you can opt to just chuck the bucket. You could use it for other purposes, but since the buckets don't stack once filled this will quickly take a lot of inventory slots. I sometimes fill a few shulker boxes while at it, but often I just throw them and let them despawn.
When it’s just one lava source block, you can just place any block to make it disappear. But when it’s a lot of lava, this would really work better! Thanks for the tip!

There is a 5th way: lava diving.
Rates:1.5-3 stacks/hour. Depends if you have to moove alot bc you can't find a good lake
How it works:lava lakes go rly low so you can reach the optim neth level pretty often and bc lava is not air,the debries are not consudered exposed so they can actualy spawn.
Costs: fire rezistance,elytra and rockets to move quicker in lava(you can also use pearls) aditionaly you can get a texture pack to make the ancient debries easyer to spot and even a mod to eliminate lava fog(keep in mind,on some servers,this mod is considered xray and it will get you banned if they find out)
Most ppls would already use fire rez in their mining and a stack of rockets is far cheapper than a stack of tnt amd will actualy get you more. Only problem is the elytra. This is deff a more late game approach but netherite is pretty late game too. I got a neth beacon in a bit over a mounth with most progress in the last days bc i was gonna go overtime(which i still did)
One helpful idea is having a bucket with you to easily remove the single exposed lava sources and dump it out of the way. You might find more ancient debris below where it was flowing over.
Yes that’s true! Although I normally just place a block in the place of the lava source. That way the lava disappears, and you don’t have an inventory full of lava buckets.

I honestly wouldn't even bother mining for ancient debris manually until very late game when you have an efficient wool farm and some decently enchanted diamond gear.
Ancient debris and netherite ingots/scrap are so common from Bastions that if you're confident enough you can get a full set of netherite gear from looting chests alone. Grab a sticky piston, lever, hopper, a piece of gold armor, a few stacks of wood, and a bucket of lava.
With this gear you can basically loot any bastion with little to no actual risk. Normal piglins will not attack you because of the gold armor, piglin brutes can easily be trapped and/or killed with lava, and the sticky piston can pull gilded blackstone out from underneath the chests so you can put a hopper underneath and empty it out without angering any piglins. Not only do you get tons of ancient debris, but you'll have plenty of extra smithing templates that didn't cost any diamonds to duplicate, and potentially a bunch of diamond armor as well.
Yes, bastions have way more netherite / ancient debris then most people think.

Kaela was averaging 120 per hour using TNT, fire resist potions, and a 1w, 2 tall tunnel, detonating them with fire arrows. the spacing was every four spaces per tnt

@@TheMineMentor I merely had responded to let you know the numbers she had been getting on stream, and she optimized it, because she was building a netherite beacon, with all blocks in the pyramid made of netherite. I think the whole thing took her 4 months or so, with one zenloss in there. Again, just so you know the numbers she was working towards...

The method I personally used to make my full netherite beacon is building a tunnel digger machine ( basically a regular flying machine but with a tnt dispenser )
I got full netherite armor and currently searching for netherite to finish my full netherite beacon

I think there's a least expensive way to mine with TNT. TNT's radius will be enough so you can leave a 4 block gape, and it will ignite the next TNT without making it all off the tunnel you made, especially if it's a 1x1 tunnel (which you can easily make with a trapdoor). You'll be able to cover a much larger zone with the same amount of TNT. That's how I mined Netherite and it was the best way for me (I played on Java, I don't know if the trapdoor trick works on Bedrock)

@@TheMineMentor I was trying your method but in 4 hours i didnt find a single debris, then i was forced to use X-ray to find out what I was doing wrong and there was not a single block of debris. And I was thinking, my seed is so old, I created that world long before netherite. Could that be the reason why its not there? thanks a lot

pro tip: if you dont feel like crafting slabs, or just forgot them on the way there, all you have to do is block your feet from the bed when exploding it, and the only cons of it is that you have to stay pretty close to the bed to actually explode it, so you may fall a little, but if you have good armor, it will be a faster and easier approach.

At 9:30 you can also use a hopper to drain out the chest. Just make sure you bring one, along with a reliable pickaxe.

Used up an entire unbreaking II, efficiency III diamond pick just to find four debris.
Also the template can be found in nether fortresses, I got mine from one rather than a bastion remnant.
That’s unlucky. Ancient debris can really take a lot of times sometimes. It’s better to stripmine if you have mending. Otherwise the bed method is really good too! And it’s cheap!
Are you sure that you didn’t find a rib armor template? It had a similar color, but with these blue lines on it.
@@TheMineMentor Though I did find the rib armour template in a separate chest, I assure you I found a netherite upgrade within a nether fortress, either this is just extremely rare and you did not know about it, or some weird glitch swapped the chest out with a bastion loot table.
Maybe it is a glitch, but a nice one!
But according to Minecraft Wiki, the Netherite Upgrade Template can only be found in all 4 bastions. And the only template that you can find in a fortress is the rib armor template.
ancient debris is also an extremely rare drop from piglin bartering

go to coord 15.
command 1. execute at @p run fill ~10 ~10 ~10 ~-10 ~-10 ~-10 air [] replace netherrack
comman 2. execute at @p run fill ~10 ~10 ~10 ~-10 ~-10 ~-10 air [] replace lava
What does that do? Delete all netherrack and lava blocks around the player?

I put thorns on my armor, put the world on easy, go to the nether level y15. Spawn a wither and get him to stance 2. Mine away from him and he follows you. While he blows everything up. When he dies of the thorns on the armor. Just run around and pick up the netherite and respawn the next wither
Wow, that’s a very creative way😄 And what if you leave the difficulty on normal or hard?
A pickaxe with E5 is the best imo. You blast through everything so fast it works just as good as anything. TNT is a little sloppy. Problem is not only making it all but when you blast them in a chain they drop down lower as they explode so it's hard to stay at Y-15, and all the lava lakes you blast into. Enchantments are actually really easy to get if you know the trick.
I actually never use the TNT method. I tested all 3 methods out and the TNT was indeed the fastest. But by the time that I’m able to have that amount of TNT, I already have enough ancient debris. And blasting through the netherrack with a pickaxe is actually very satisfying indeed😊
@@TheMineMentor Oh yeah it's for sure faster when you actually do it. But to get everything, craft it all, and go back and forth lighting them, when you factor all that in it's honestly not even worth it. For survival mode, E3-5 pickaxe is far superior any day.

I was playing with my friend using the bed method and he find the same amount but half the time it took me to find ancient when he raided bastions. Do keep in mind we had elaytras at the time
Yes, sometimes you find ancient debris quiet fast, and sometimes you’re unlucky and you find just a few in half an hour.
if you don't have full diamond armor with protection IV, and preferably thorns III, you shouldn't even try get the template, if you thought you would get it while your in the nether when you have iron armor, it takes 3 shots with a power V bow on the brutes, and 3 hits with a sharpness V diamond sword, so if you have iron armor, don't even try lol
Yes, getting the template is very difficult and risky! But if you use this method I explained it the video, with the lava bucket and entering from the roof, it works pretty good and safe. But if you make a mistake, you’ll easily die if you only have iron armor indeed 😉
I do just fine in temples with iron armour and iron sword and a bow with basic enchants. Difficulty on hard to. Its nothing compared to RLCRAFT 😂
Guys he's absolutely right, bed's the most cheap and best way to find ancient debris,with 5 shulker boxes full of beds i finded like total of 16 netherite ingots, that's pretty fair i guess
