I think they will also add a stun attack, something like a sonic wave that deals some damage, slows you down and give darkness and weakness
Since its meant to be avoided, not killed. Would love to see some methods on how to effectively avoid the Warden and raid the cities safely. Especially now it has that ranged attack you can't just tunnel through walls to avoid it.
Here is a avoiding method! Raid ancient city’s if you have a efficiency diamond hoe! They can be found in the city chest once you have the high efficiency hoe you can start taking out shriekers left right and centre :)

You can use snowballs to distract it
use wool to be silent, put the wools around the blocks that detect sound :) also use shift and try to get the new enchantment that makes you go faster when using shift... it was something like "depth speed" idk

It's tragic to see how more than half of those tactics don't work anymore simply because Mojang added a ranged attack and lava/drowning immunity to the warden

I love how he says "these will be some of the most practical ways to kill the warden" and proceeds to tell you to fill the entire deep dark with magma blocks, and also flood it, just in case.
So many of these methods are now just gone with the buffs Mojang have given to the warden like his resistance of lava, fire, water, and his new sonic boom attack especially the sonic boom attack that attack has so much distance and does so much damage
so many of these methods he needed to reshot, like redstone one where he somehow fucked it up, he fucked up piston placement, again,somehow
The Army of dogs or 10 Iron Golems might help

Honestly the sonic boom attack seems like its gonna become a exploitable troll tool if people manage to get the warden out of the deep dark
For the iron golems, they can be repaired with iron. So you could use one golem to kill the warden if you have at least a stack of iron ingots.
Warden will already kill the Golem before you could repair it

Well the last tip aged really well. With the wardens new sonic blast attack u can't build up anymore
But sure can break
A tip for everyone in order to raid the deep dark: Bring Lots of Wool blocks
The plan is to cover the shriekers with wool on all sides (placing wool blocks don't make noise, so you won't activate sensors) and then when your in the clear break them with an efficiency hoe (you can find those in the loot places scattered around the map). For multiple shriekers, cover the top of all the other shriekers while you deal with the first (breaking a shrieker activates a sensor) and continue breaking them until there are none left. Then your free to loot the deep dark!
i mean , you only need some shears , you can just break wool from the ancient city itself and not shear 245 sheeps for wool

1 way to ACTUALLY defeat the warden FOR GOOD:
Destroy every single sculk shrieker, and sprint jump sneak away any time doing so summons a warden. This causes the warden to essentially _go extinct._

I think now shulker and stray can't defeat warden because now warden have range attack
Minecraft already solved the problem now they can kill any mob through walls
But lava is still the best!
But make sure to stay away from the lava so the warden can't kill u with the new attack
Tips if you use the maze: if you don’t have time to memorise or your on bedrock, try using maps as you can see the whole maze while seeing your location.
how will you see the maze if its underground?

Or just use real life tactics. Touch the wall beside you (in this case, your character beside the wall) then follow it

Unfortunately, some of these no longer work because the Warden has a range attack, is immune to fire damage, and can't drown underwater, making him an even stronger monstrosity.
I feel like killing the warden will just be another speedrun category.

another way of killing the warden but much more slower, you will need: netherite axe with smite V, strength 2 potions, a lot of totems, fully enchanted netherite armour

there is one unfortunate downside to this tacticm, you have to be good at the game
Sword is better since it atacks at way faster rate almost double the axe and it deals just 3 hp less hic means its has more damage per second

Frost walker enchant on magma makes sense, because the boots can cool the player's feet down thus the block won't take any burning damage on them.

How about digging a hole, magma at the bottom, and shoot arrows on all four directions.
Very efficient, but could be annoying to set the arrow dispensers in the hole.

Problem: multiple wardens spawn at a time while exploring. Entity cramming trap is the best method, you can trap a few a time easily.

Not to be rude, but there’s been an update and warden is immune to lava and has a ranged attack so lava bucket and building won’t work.

I'm pretty sure most of this is getting patched. The warden's probably not going to take lava damage, fall damage, and probably is going to be buffed immensely. And he can hit off people from 3 blocks and hit people from under some blocks.
That's why I gave you 20 different ways of beating him - some of them will still work
@@Dadusak actually none of them scince they will most likely make it so that the warden will hit the arrows back and the sonic boom could kill ALOT of mobs at once

For a bit in the dark when you went to the end, i saw the lightning glitch thing where darkness turns Red yellow (AND PURPLE SOMETIMES).

For the golems why not bring a stack of iron and keep healing the golem until the warden is defeated
Maybe you only need 1 golem and keep healing it
Yeah I have iron farm and I took 7 stack of iron. It defeat 1 warden but the other one comes from back and destroyed me lol 😆

We all know that the reason why you shouldn’t do that is because if you crouch on magma you won’t take damage paired with swift sneak it’s just a better way not to mention frost walker is the perfect way to ruin your armour

The first ranged weapon was actually a quiver that fired an infinite amount of arrows

The frost walker magma thing makes extreme sense. Since it’s literally frost, it will make you colder and be able to resist hotter temperatures like magma.

With the wardens new sonic boom some of these traps wont work as the warden can use the sonic boom to hit you from 20 blocks up andhit you through walls using the sonic boom.

Wardens new move is like a beam and its rlly strong so some things wont work
In BE you can just use the 30 seconds of regen 5 a notch apple gives you to basically be immune, cobweb it and do whatever you want (harming arrow spam, crystals (my favorite), letting it hit you so you can P-crit it, etc.
for the iron golems u need 6 on easy for the warden to die
Careful dude, if someone reports this to the Forum of Minecraft to suggest the warden would do a Whirlwind attack that instantly one shots golems, then you must be dumb, thank you for giving me a Reason why I will go to the forums and do that!

I am sorry to say my friend but half of those methods are useless now with the new snapshot.the warden is immune to lava and magma.he has a longer reach so 2 block pillars wont work not even a 4 block and the warden is now extremely fast in water and soul and magma collams are useless he goes up when in magma and walks right through soul sand. Maybe the with the wither and the sand or gravel.Also the warden is no longer an undead mob so yeah.

Yeah, the snapshot changed quite a lot. But that's why I gave you 20 different methods, so that if stuff gets changed, you still have other options

Best way I found is friends with Gapples and taking the fight to him. Also doing a circuit course running
some of the ways to kill the warden are now invalid because warden was buffed, lol

The warden literally breaks out of the ground when he hears you so its nearly impossible to set these up.
No matter how much Mojang buffs the Warden, Boffy will always find some unorthodox way to defeat it.
And Mojang will buff it again until it has ♾️ hearts

The ultimate, best, 10/10 way to beat the warden easily.

And turn off the warden spawning gamerule. 🧠🧠🧠

Here's an easy way that works after update
Make a piston trap near a shrieker and trap the warden.
*you should make the walls of the hole using wool*
After trapping the warden close the top with wool
And done,this won't kill the warden but now you can loot the place without any fear
It's all fun and games until Warden uses ranged sonic boom .

I attempted to cheese Warden by simply locking him to the flow of water, and use my bow with infinity enchantment to take him out far
Let’s just take a moment to recognize the fact that this thing can one shot you with full Protection IV netherite armor
as this was posted one year ago, the warden is no longer affected by fire so dropping it into lava will not work, suffocation will not work either the warden will js crawl back underground. the warden can also produce sonic shrieks now which is a ranged attack that travels i think 19 blocks? u can stand behind and shoot with a power II bow as well it will take about a little over half a stack of arrows if u dont have infinity on ur bow.

When i first played minecraft after a long time, i didn't yet know that there is the Warden and so i found the ancient city trying to loot it, but then the darkness effect got me and i saw the Warden... i almost pooped my pants when i tried to build cobblestone around myself.
But the Warden had the range attack that passes walls and i died.

Little fun fact. Idk if the Warden drowned before, but it can since the update. I tried it out and it had an special animation and when it drowns it would dig it self into the into the ground but it doesn't do that anymore idk why.
