Joe Rogan is the best listener and observationalist. I’m 60 years old - I have lived 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, y2k, 2010’s, 2020’s. They both give me hope!
As a recovering heroine addict. Often struggling with depression and constantly pitying myself. Jordan is a breath of fresh air. This guy has done what 1 year of rehab. 3 different therapist and antidepressants couldnt do. Feeling emotional while i write this. But in a good way. Hope one day i can meet you and tell you how much you have helped me. Thank you Dr. Peterson.
Congrats on your recovery. As someone who deals with medical issues and has been handed over to a life of constant prescription meds I seriously envy you and want to say you’re amazing for doing the near impossible. I hope you keep up the amazing lifestyle change!

“Life is suffering and betrayal but there is a way of traversing through that.” I really enjoy the way he puts things, so highly intelligent. In my opinion, this is a very honest and hopeful way to view our lives and how we can learn and grow from the failures and tough times in life. It is up to us to make our lives meaningful.
Jordan Peterson (and say Carl Jung) went thru his own dark night of the soul and emerged stronger. He suffered. He nearly gave up. And he came out with gloves on. So he is not being a hypocrite to tell us please live authentically.

@@jeffblowpezlopez4122 No. You are misunderstanding what the quote means. You have to be capable of violence in order to have the capability of being peaceful. hahaha. this is the best comment ive seen in a long time.
That's what you get when your ancestors have been lazy for generations...
Ahhh! Stop it you’re attacking my safe space lol
But Orwell told us 2+2=5. Seems the left is trying to explain that to Dr Peterson
Youre actually right, he basically just spouts common knowledge platitudes disguised with large words he learned in grad school to give them the appearance of great significance. The equivalent in our analogy is you hearing "2+2=4" (something you already knew) but written out in the form of an essay, and acting like you had just heard some kind of incredible magic spell that explains everything.
Humbly, I thank you Peterson. I am a black young man with out any father figures (step dad included). Only child raised by my mom and the church(also full of women). And I never understood life entirely...i had a desire for truth (good or bad, evil or righteous) and I've searched it in the church I've searched it in men(fathers), I've searched it in women. And I deeply believe I suffered for it. I'm not saying I'm an atheist but the church has disconnected itself from physical facts evidence itself. So I thank you for connecting those dots for me. Thank you for being a role model for me and men like me.
Petersens' lectures from Genesis relate the Bible stories to the overarching realities of life. Most people make moralizing interpretations, others think it's all about salvation and Jesus.
I was blown away to hear Peterson teach that the Fall story is a story about human beings becoming self-conscious.
The story of David and the prophet Nathan shows what might happen if you spoke the truth in your interpersonal relationships.
His interpretations connect our reality with the reality of our father instead of trying to unite the book by adding an extra level of philosophy or ideology.
I think many problems stemmed from the church becoming too feminized
Good luck to you man!
The time this video released is actually few days before my mom died of cancer. I was in the dark place at mind for 4-5 years (I'm growing and walking to the path of light right now), but if only there's someone pointing me this video sooner or just approach me myself with this kind of positivity mindset they both build (also the book itself called An Antidote Of Chaos) I wouldn't have going through the same process. But now I have understood fully what's best for me, especially I've been following Jordan about a year these times, I want to grow and blooming and be better in a lot of ways.
I just wanna say Thank You for both of them, Joe and Jordan, for kinda sorting this book out for me and I think I will read the book someday, hopefully soon. Anne Hutch wow I wish I could get my mother to watch something like this and her actually listen and try to understand what they are saying. Instead my mom ignores the possibility that she might not be perfect, always right and smarter than everyone else, all while having extreme anger issues that when you disagree with her she acts like you’re attacking her and you deserve the full power of her anger, all while using the reasoning of a 5 year old. This has been going on my whole life but ever since the election it has gotten worse and now she is the constant victim all while being the smartest and most morally correct person in the room. She uses social justice warrior buzz words and catch phrases to try to shame people in to their places because they didn’t metaphorically bow down to her will and power. She literally attacked a family member last Christmas and has successfully pretended like nothing ever happened. She won’t even think about considering listening to someone that will tell her she isn’t perfect and always right. Thanks for trying for your kids and not just trying to be the all powerful overlord of them.
Cannibal Nectar Cannival You are so awesome to have shared your experiences with your mother. So brave! I have a vision board and barely ever focus on the chaos around me. I focus on, or keep my imagination going on how I want things to be for me and my family. I hardly look at reality, just on how better life will be.... I am always checking in with my thoughts to assure I dont go down a slippery slope of despair. And if I do, I immediately think about the things I appreciate, even if it is my wonderful pillow on my bed. Doing this, for some reason, life becomes easy. It is like the universe responds to my positive thoughts. The Better it gets, the Better it gets!!! And life will get Better for you too!!!

Lost 40kg (about 1/3 of my weight), stoped doing drugs and get my life straight. I believe Peterson will change the world in the coming years like he changed my life. God bless him.
Edit: What helped me most with quit drugs was taking responsibility. If you doing something meaningful, you do not need drugs. God bless you all guys
Wow, nice dude!
I lost 35 lbs since this profile photo but God do I need the drugs. Haha. I need those drugs I take man! 😅
Good for you though, seriously. ✊ solidarity bro.

which drugs if i might ask?

I always do it while listening to podcasts
I bought into the propaganda against Dr Peterson and thought of him as a charlatan for a long time, until of course I LISTENED to him. He makes sense. Its sad how the professor is so misrepresented.
Thank you so much for your honesty and support.
As well as the whole MAGA movement
And there lies the problem: many ppl don’t have the patience or self-awareness to listen to him at length and truly reassess their lives.
Sadly, the common personality today who seems to be intelligent cannot read a letter with a few questions or descriptions and retain it. Like selling something, you will get repetitive questions on what you already described to a tee in your add. Write someone a letter with questions in it & they answer not one question! It’s like a blind spot. I heard a RUclipsr a few days back use an example of a conservative Hollywood actor saying something good, but was then criticized by a follow up comment from a completely different person. People reading this RUclipsrs feed just a few comments later began a whole new narrative. They had the actor who was good in what he said, as the person who commented the negative comment. And people began to write off the actor as saying the random comment that was not his. People by nature are not observant & by nature act more like, “Lord of the flies”. That’s why they will gladly climb on board a sinking ship that has a sign, “Sinking Ship”, because they were not paying close attention but thinking of the next thing they might say instead. It’s like a disease!😂😂😭sorry this was long and hard to follow!
Basically anyone that speaks reality is a fugitive in the eyes of the Left Wing.
Is this the interview that got him in so much trouble?! I just can’t understand why anyone has an issue with JP, he’s so intelligent, insightful and comes across as a very kind and thoughtful man

Why doesn’t RUclips show this interview on the popular section of Joe’s channel? Don’t be evil Google.
This podcast has aged so well. I miss Jordan Peterson. I hope he's doing well.

I did enjoy that conversation. I really like how they discussed their thoughts, it reminds me of Plato and Socrates discussions, the way the set parameters for debate and agreed on the meaning of certain terminology so they were sure they understood the other person. I like them both.
I was just about to write that exact sentence!!!!!!!!

Ed R. -They had a disagreement on the definition of the truth. Neither of them got put anywhere, it was an interesting back and forth. Also, I think Sam knew exactly what Jordan meant, but his current philosophical framework won't allow him to cede the definition Jordan put forth because of ramifications further down the line of truth and morality.

I read a story about Jordan talking to a young teen that lost his dad unexpectedly and the teen asked what he should do and Jordan said be the strongest person at his funeral and the teen said that really helped him and his family get through it. Last August my brother lost his battle with alcohol and passed unexpectedly at only 37 years old (I had to take him off of life support) and it was absolutely horrific for my family but I took what I read in that article and I stepped up to be the strongest person and took care of everything. My family and friends thanked me and it truly help them seeing me staying strong. Then I lost it and mourned for days because I miss bro!
Kudos for staying strong for your family when they needed you so badly. My sympathy & prayers for you as you mourn your brother. It is very understandable. Closeness & love make us vulnerable but, none of us want to go all through life without close relationships & love. As one who was widowed too early in life I firmly believe, "Better to have loved & lost than never to have known love."
Being strong means you support others but it's okay to grieve too, you will get through this my guy I'm sorry about your brother man
Sorry for your loss bro
You can be proud to yourself. I'm sorry for your loss.
Yesterday, Mr. Peterson blew my mind and brought me to tears. He said that one should treat themselves like someone they love and respect. To me that was profound and obvious, although it wasn't obvious prior to hearing hit

I used to work for a big company. One of the larger employers in ontario.
When i started working for them back in the 2000's the nan who had built the company still ran it with a hands on attitude. As he got older and began transferring responsibilities to his university educated son, the type of people working in the "head office" began to gradually change as more people with less hands on experience populated that office. I finally stepped away in 2015 because yhe head office was making it impossible to continue doing a good job.
