- I don't generally do art things, but my wife wanted this picture frame. I cut it at 90 IPM, 45 amps, with FineCut consumables. I'm really enjoying my Z-Axis! Torch and sensor holder custom printed by Tool Junkie.
Awsome!
Nice.
How did you get a hold of him I need a sensor holder also ?
I messaged him in the RUclips comments, and then from there on we communicated on Facebook Messenger. On RUclips, he goes by the name Tool Junkie.
Ho Josh, im really interested in these sensors. Id like to setup on mine but not sure the config and connections.
Do you have diagram please?
I got rid of this machine probably 3 years ago and am currently running a Crossfire XR. I don't believe I have the wiring diagram anymore, but Langmuir sells an upgrade kit for the original table that is quite cost-effective...
@@joshuazimmerman8631 Thank you 🙏
Hey @Joshua Zimmerman do you have a wiring diagram for these sensors?
Yes, these are a PNP sensor, so they source voltage on the black wire. The brown wire is positive; the blue wire is negative. Here is a link... www.automationdirect.com/adc/shopping/catalog/sensors_-z-_encoders/inductive_proximity_sensors/18mm_round_harsh_duty/stainless_steel_factor_1_sensing_(18mm)/ksk6-ap-3h
@@joshuazimmerman8631 Thanks Joshua! I ended up getting the KSK-AP-4H (TJ) but believe it's the same wiring. So based on the diagram does this sound more right than wrong?
Sensor Probe Black = Signal = Diagram Yellow
Sensor Probe Blue = L- = Diagram Black
Sensor Probe Brown = L+ = Diagram Red
Sensor Probe White = Null = Null
Also -- how is the Digitize function (to enable these probes) turned on in Mach 3?
I see your not using the sensor holder any more did something go wrong with it?
This video was on my OG Crossfire 2 x 2... When I upgraded to the Crossfire Pro, I no longer needed the sensor holder because it came with IHS and torch height control. The machine in this video still has the sensor holders on it...
@@joshuazimmerman8631 Thanks for the reply. I am in the process of making one, I posted a video of the holder that i plasma cut today.
I'd like to cut 1/4" stainless. Which Hypertherm cutter do you recommend? How about the cutting torch head? Thank you!
Any one of the Hypertherm units are able to cut quarter inch stainless without an issue. I would recommend one of their machine torches because they tend to be easier to interface with a CNC table. I have run a 45XP and they are amazing machines for the money...
@@joshuazimmerman8631 Thanks a million. You have really inspired me. Brent
Is your z axis the same design that the tool junkie did? Great job
Yes, it is. He 3D printed me the torch and sensor holder.
