That dragon would've been great as a mount for RAAM, similar to Skorge having the Hydra. Maybe they could make it canon in a prequel story.

Totally RAMM was a badass enamy and a scary one but his design has to be top notch as an enamy general and he was once a regular drone turned general due to his leadership and that would be cool to see RAMM fly in with a dragon get off and walk twords Kim and kill him in the same way as the cutscene that would be hella scary
Actually, Baird was originally going to be in Cole's positon as the athlete. Carmine was originally intended to be the sarcastic smart guy. Epic just loved Cole's V.A so much that they created him a character and killed off Carmine.
Having some helmeted characters or even a protagonist in a gears game would be awesome
I've always thought a prequel game where you play as either an Onyx guard or a UIR soldier would be interesting
You should do cut content for gears 3 like I think in beast mode they originally were going to add more locust like a reaver and a grinder
I love the idea's. Dang imagine fighting the Dragocust Wyvern. Trying to take cover from its Flaming breath and the driver being shot off. I believe the Dragocust would go berserk or retreat from battle

The Locust Dragon does look pretty scary. Wish we could've fought it. I'm not sure it would've shot fire, though.
I really wish we'd gotten to fight that dragon, but I suppose the Tempest in Gears 3 is a good substitute.

I never thought I would hear someone beg for a Locust drone "Troika Gunner" multiplayer skin.
On a very old but game called spore you're able to create any creature/ship design.

I would still like to see you that pneumatic gun you mentioned in the last video. I think it would be a game changer. If gears implements breakable/moveable cover into the multiplayer, imagine what you could do with this thing. When its fully powered up you could shoot blasts of air that destroys cover into bits and pieces wounding or even killing enemies who are crouching on the other side of them.
Even when it isnt fully powered this weapon would not be completely useless as it would allow you to crush enemies by pushing cover towards them which would swiftly slide against the ground pushing them with it while they sit on the other side and crushing them into a nearby wall creating a bloody mess.
I like the idea of mechanical arms as shown in one of the concept arts, so i think this 'air gun' could be physically part of the character we play as and in multiplayer it would be optional.
Now, i know this would be extremely over powered ingame but there are ways it could be worked around. For instance it could take a long time to fully power up for releasing a shot or its possible that its shots could be maneuverable once you develop the skill for it.
Or perhaps it would be a better idea if the gun had to be charged up like the embar?
Yeah that's some awesome ideas man I would really love that, the pneumatic battering ram concept is a great idea and would love for them to implement it, charging it up like the embar sounds about right

Man what a nice video! Seeing early footage of gears 1 is so cool, let’s you see how much of a difference there was in the finished product, thanks Abz.
A few points I wanna bring up
1- did epic ever explain why the locust drones had a revamp of their design between gears 2 and 3? In gears 1/2 they appear more human and actually look like a hybrid between a human and sire DNA were as in gears 3 going forward they look more monsterous and reptilian.
2- with the whole locust society part of the video I always wondered who was making the boots for the locust? Like is there a factory somewhere in the hallow that just has drones making boots and laces?
3- keep up the awesome work!
My personal theory for the locust looking different is that there evolving
I think the redesign was done to match more towards the artstyle of gears of war 3 along with I think the g1/g2 drone just being a reused model from the tech demos
The Gears 1/2 drone had better skincare that’s all.
But my 2 cents revolve around the storyline of “Sera has been infected by imulsion!” Maybe the higher concentration of imulsion changed the Locust, making them look more monsterous and reptilian.
Probably just art style change really lol

One notable aspect of Gears of War 2 that was changed during development was that Kevin Riepl, composer of Gears of War was originally composing music for Gears of War 2, some of which can be heard in the game's first gameplay trailer (Highlight footage of the rig firefights of Act I, Chapters 3 & 4 as presented by Cliff 'Cliffy B' Bleszinski). At one point in time later, Epic Games would later cease working with Kevin Riepl and have Steve Jablonsky compose the music for the game instead, making no use of the new music Kevin Riepl prepared for the game (Although still using the previous game's music stingers & such).
Kevin Riepl did once host the 24 tracks that he composed for Gears of war 2 on his website, but due to using the discontinued Adobe software to stream them, not even the Wayback Machine seems to be able to let you hear them again. I do have MP3 copies of this via an unofficial "Gears of War 2: The Rejected Score", but I don't believe this ever got around & it has some audio issue levels to correct (I can at least say that it does include the very same music that can be heard in the aforementioned trailer).

So many things that might've been. The Coalition definitely needs to dig into the archives if they're gonna get the fans back. I want to see the Swarm Drake, and I'm pretty sure everybody else does too. As for the Buckethead, I think putting that in a prequel game would be excellent. For now, it's just gonna be what Marcus called the DBs that fucked his tomatoes up in Gears 4😂. Definitely agree on Baird and Cole being the characters we know and love. No role reversal needed, though I think Baird could sell me on being a former star QB on a Thrashball team. Keep up the good work Abz!! This Gear thanks you!
