I think something the first game doesn’t explain but that you see over the course of the 1st act and future titles flashbacks is that marcus sees Kim is hoffman’s new yes man. He pulls Kim aside to tell him personally they believe they’ve found a way to end the war and he seems like a loyal dog to Hoffman, and Anthony Carmine was his rookie in training. I think marcus sees parallels between a younger version of himself and kim who’s being promised all of this glory and fortune after the war, knowing that if he keeps doing everything by the book and doesn’t get a little grimy and dirty, he won’t live to see the end of it anyway. In turn, I think he saw Anthony as a soldier that never really had a chance because, even for the right reasons, he was being misguided. I think marcus thought himself more capable of training a proper gear so when Ben died under his leadership I’m sure that did not sit well with him in the slightest
I always felt that we missed a rocket Launcher in the original trilogy, especially in an army that fights giant monsters
Boomshot were basically rocket launchers
@__Theta__ Yeah, but that was a Locust weapon, not a COG design, I always felt that the COG were lacking different types of weapons despite being an international military superpower.
Dear developers, please remaster the original trilogy and include these amazing features. 😎

I don't think a remaster is necessary cz the OG gears run at 4k on the series x and it's amazing to replay

The cut content of this game blows my mind to this day. All the ideas left on the cutting room floor just show how much of a labour of love gears 3 truly was
It's crazy that Skorge didn't actually appear as multiplayer character after Gears 2 until later 2017 of Gears of War 4's life cycle
felt like a complete game yet still had cut content.
I think every game has cut content in varying levels of quality. Movies, too. Lotta crumpled up ideas go into creating things.

The armored ticker sounds amazingly challenging. Imagine a boomer, or a grenadier pushing you, and as you’re getting pushed you have to repel back a couple of Rollie pollie tickers or else it’ll explode and cause damage on top of a boom shot or a grenadiers gnasher shot
I remember being able to mod the Theron Elite into multiplayer via x360 profile editor. People used to freak out in voice in post game lobbies "WTF IS THAT CHARACTER" lmao. But if you swapped characters you had to redo the mod iirc since it wasn't selectable ingame of course.
Another cut content thing that could have been mentioned alongside the master boomer was alex brand, there was a concept art of her in the art of gears of war 3 and she was supposed to appear in the game but her role was given to Sam instead.

6:10 crazy that this just got leaked 3 months ago. Whole 48 min playthrough of the cut prologue that would have made Judgement make more sense of Gears disobeying orders, as well the start to GOW 1 where Marcus is freed from jail. That leak plus the recent new game E-Day having the trailer shown. GOW coming back man.

I remember being on the forums back then and players were begging for maps like Day One and characters like Skorge to be brought into the game. Considering we believed it would be the last GOW ever, EPIC should have have went all out.

Yknow I always thought it was weird that the cog never had fighter jets and RPG's. Well in the games at least. Strange to see an army with no planes and RPG's would be perfect to use against brumaks.
I think there was a line in one of the games that a General dismissed the need for new aircraft. Then after they retired got hired by the company producing the Ravens

It’s so weird how Microsoft has basically abandoned Gears of War. Supposedly Gears 6 is still in development, but they gutted part of The Coalition and the current crew there don’t really know what they’re doing. Theres so much room for potential, but they badly keep dropping the ball. Too bad we don’t have a remastered collection that includes all the dlc content and mod support. That would just print money. Microsoft’s treatment of Gears of War is only surpassed by how they’ve fumbled Halo. Fortunately, we have those two Project New Hope, and Project Delta Online ports of 1 and 3. But, as far as I’m aware we haven’t seen much from the fans working on those. Hopefully we also get a fan port of 2 as well.
If they do the Marcus Fenix collection, i do hope they add some of these cut contents back
i was always wondering why they didn't add the palace guard as a playable character even though they were one of the main enemies in the campaign. They could have made it where you would have to save the guardian mutlitple times or something, and love the video.
Really enjoyed those last two videos. Hopefully you can find some stuff on the remaining games

I’ve heard rumors in the past that there’s a possible Gears 3 remaster or remake. 🤔 It would be great to see if the devs can analyze the scrapped content and see if they can fit it into the game’s remake or remaster. 👀
I hope we can see the improved horde mode as well and I wonder what the devs will do for the beast mode. 🤔
Funny thing is that there was a model and animation for the rocket launcher and would've been introduced in the campaign where you'd rescue dizzy. Once you'd pick it up from a weapon cache Baird would say something like "Looks like these reavers want an old rocket launcher up the a**!" whilst they land. It was cut very late in development as evident by most of the level being identical to the final version. MIComp here on youtube used to have a video of this but he's since avoid uploading them cause' google believed that he was sharing the dev builds despite no evidence of doing so. He used to have footage of almost everything mentioned here. However, his twitter has some of the videos.

Biggest sad one is master boomer for me a slaver boomer would’ve been cool. Either a variant or a actual boss boomer general type one. Among the savage locust. Also beast mode had so much potential whag made that mode boring fast was the forced timer and forced amount of waves and people to kill you couldn’t enjoy playing your enemy. It was always rush to get points to unlock berserker. Before other players kill the people before you. And the barricades and stuff stop so much of the characters they are just not viable after a certain point. Grinder and other stuff being taken out is a big loss tho being playable through mods also we could’ve been master boomer here to but he was cut

What is that supposed to be a mountain rocket launcher
Honestly, Gears of War 3 was my least favourite of the original games* because of more insane enemies, notably the Lambent Gunkers... So actually featuring the rocket launcher could've made for a great way to counter the more annoying and cheap enemies.
*Still a great game, though. The worst Gears is easily Gears 5, which is the ONLY entry in this series I refuse to play.

I feel like gears 3 focused on the lambent more then the locust
