Recently inherited a 2012 535i and just followed these steps to replace my Start/Stop button with a fresh new black one. Thank you so much!! Best tutorials out there regarding the f10 by far. Just subbed and will watch all these build vids!!!
I'm here for the F10, BUT I am a car lover. I am looking forward to your new content, just make sure you give us some F10 love every once in a while. In 2 years I have gone from 2 cars to 6 cars because once you open the gates to "Collecting" you cant stop.. I currently own three 5 series BMW's (E39 540 6MT, E60 535i MSport (FBO), and F10 535i MSport (FBO Stage 2+ MHD)), an Audi A4 Quattro Avant, Toyota 4Runner (Mildly Built), and a 1989 Shelby Dakota (#1457 of 1500)..
Im very slowly getting to that point unintentionally haha. Between you and I (and whoever happens to stumble across this comment), i already have the new car, so between that, the f10, and my daily, im running out of room/funds for everything lol 😅
CONGRATS! on 500 subs. I remember when I hit that number, back then 500 allowed me to monetize. 500 subs inspired me to put out consistent content on a schedule, and that seemed to boost everything across the board. With your planned updates to content types, you may be opening yourself to a bigger audience pool! You Post, I share! I have a secondary channel that has my 4runner in the early stages @CENFL Motorsports is the channel I think.
Thank you! I see this channel that you're always commenting from has a pretty solid amount of subs, out of curiosity how come you arent posting much there (at least that i can see)? Im hoping to get monetized one of these days, almost feels like i can see the light at the end of that tunnel haha. Ill have to check it out!
@@Anthony_B For as long as I have been doing RUclips, I am constantly pulled into the "Industry" side of every genre of video I made. Eventually what was something I did for fun, it slowly became a job. I also get very bored and frustrated with "Industry" involvement in what I do, so I had to back off before it killed me (In my older age I dont handle stress like I used to (I was an Air Traffic Controller and Stress was my thing).. I used to take periodic breaks from making content and that was usually enough to keep my sane, but the moore I get involved with the "Industries" the more I felt I ws being pushed away by all the different personalities that populate the genres I have been interested in. I have avoided getting too involved with the Car scene.
I actually contacted him a ways back because i saw that he did the opposite swap, but he had already sold the seats haha. but thank you for looking out!
Hi Anthony, I love your video, I will need to replace break button, this will help a lot. If you maybe know, I have 520d 2011 automatic with same start stop button as you that is missing auto off, Do you know how can I disable auto start stop.? Thanks
Thanks for watching! To be honest, if you don’t have the auto stop/start button then I dont think your car even has the feature, if it does and you don’t have the button then I’m not sure you can shut it off
Didnt realise the park brake was that easy to change, been delaying mine as thought i would need to remove the centre console. The push button start for me (with stop start) was simple as sticking some goo to the old button, and pulling. It popped straight out.
I have seen people do it that way and i think its wild that it works haha. Having taken mine apart to replace and even having slight difficulty prying it out, its wild to me that that works, but definitely way easier if it does work
The exhaust tips are just off the shelf 3.5in double walled & staggered. I purchased them from the exhaust shop that installed them, so i actually didnt even see them for the first time until they were being put on the car
A couple people have asked me about it, truthfully im not even 100% sure its oem as its pretty poorly attached to the trim piece. I think i am planning to remove it to wrap the trim in alcantara anyways so i never bothered to learn much about it, sorry
I haven’t done it personally on my f10, but I imagine it’s the same as any other car, just remove the airbag assembly, then carefully remove whatever hardware you have to in order to remove the trim, you should have access to the buttons after that 👍🏼
Sorry but mistaken. Long and short pronged nothing to do with HOLD button. Usually early (Pre LCI) cars have long pronged buttons. With or without HOLD Button. Funny thing is I have a 2014 LCI one(my 3rd F10) still came out with long pronged button. So the ONLY way to be sure is to check before you order one.But as I mentioned before short pronged came out on later cars
Truthfully I don’t know, I’m not a particularly huge fan of it so I haven’t bothered to learn if it’s a factory option or something someone before me happened to install
Feels good watching new videos of the exact same car, you’re being helpful being specific step by step by step
I appreciate it, thats all i aim to do here, make videos that contribute to the community and for everyone to watch/enjoy/learn from!

I appreciate you checking it out! Glad it helped!
So glad you differentiated between long prong and short prong. I was just about to order the wrong one from Amazon so thanks you saved me £10. 👍
I’m glad it helped, thanks for watching!
You sir are a top man, really struggled to find the long pronged button, now its sorted, thanks man
Glad I could help!
These tutorials are really helping me out! I'm not as brave as you to consider taking the dash out but it's nice to know how if I need to.
Im glad they are able to help, thats the entire reason i make them, i want to give back to the community as much as i can!
Just got an F10 so I'm just going to hang out here for the foreseeable
Congrats on the pickup! Thanks for checking out the channel 🙏🏻

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for the info
Thanks for uploading. Do you happen to know the part number for the piece that goes under the parking brake switch?
Thanks for checking it out! Sadly I do not, but I’m sure it’d be easy to find, maybe at realoem.com!
Hey man what exhaust tips do you have and where did you purchase them from. Thanks !
The exhaust tips are just off the shelf 3.5in double walled & staggered. I purchased them from the exhaust shop that installed them, so i actually didnt even see them for the first time until they were being put on the car
Howdy, any content on that veneer you have on your trim? Love that eggshell/matte wood look.
A couple people have asked me about it, truthfully im not even 100% sure its oem as its pretty poorly attached to the trim piece. I think i am planning to remove it to wrap the trim in alcantara anyways so i never bothered to learn much about it, sorry
Any advice on how to change the steering wheel buttons?
I haven’t done it personally on my f10, but I imagine it’s the same as any other car, just remove the airbag assembly, then carefully remove whatever hardware you have to in order to remove the trim, you should have access to the buttons after that 👍🏼
@@Anthony_B Thanks
How does the actual parking brake switch come out? Mines failed.
I’m sure you have to get it from the backside of the console, I never had to remove mine entirely so I’m not 100% sure to be honest

Need that interior trim what’s the name of that wood pause
Truthfully I don’t know, I’m not a particularly huge fan of it so I haven’t bothered to learn if it’s a factory option or something someone before me happened to install
Yo is it an m5 or a 535 cuz I see the quad exhaust tips
It’s a 535, but I had the quad exhaust installed 👍🏼
