This video was fantastic, the step-by-step instructions were the best I have found for this procedure. Even detailing where the short vs long screws go. Thank you so much Anthony!
Very good video, thanks for the explanation! Few things probably I’d do a bit differently. maybe not required to take out the speaker cover if there’s no speaker. Prying the door panel is hard, go on one side, better use a prying tool to pull one one or two clips first . Then try to grab as deeply as possible and gently pull out. It’s difficult but doable. At one stage I thought I’ll break it😅. While putting things back, put the bottom of the door handle first in place then put the rest of it to click it in. Then while putting the door trim back, put the top part first, make sure it’s properly sitting in the place without leaving gap. If you’re not sure just check on the other door. Click the top part first then rest of it!!
Thank you! I am disappointed with BMW, as my 2015 550i was garage-kept and the door handle is sticky. The entire dashboard of the Toyota Camry had the same issue.
Correct, I’ve replaced more of those dashboards than I can count lol, but you’re right, it is too bad a brand like bmw didn’t have better quality control on the door handle tho, I guess interiors were never really their strong suit haha (I come from the e36 world who’s interiors are garbage 😂)
Either a site with the bmw parts diagrams, or bmw themselves. Maybe you could call them and get in touch with a parts department, give them your vin number and they should be able to pull up any info you need 👍🏼
My immediate guess is maybe you didn’t snap the connector in all the way, I’d check that and if they still don’t work after that, my only other immediate guess would either be some fuse blew somehow or the switch panel failed for whatever reason, but if they were working before and now aren’t, I’m leaning towards the connector not being fully plugged in 👍🏼
Thanks brother I think you’re right. I broke the grey clip that holds that connection in place and after digging around forums others had the same thing happen.
BMWs are not designed for hot weather, this is just one example.. The oil pan gasket is an insanely bad idea too. $2,500 leak fix. ( sorry I know it's a little off topic )
You’re 100% right, I come from a long line of e36 ownership and those were made extremely bad back in those days, and seeing how they’ve all sat in the sun for over 2 decades now, almost everything in those cars needs addressing if they haven’t yet haha 😂

I’m glad it was able to help, thank you for watching!
great demonstration and commentary. worked on my f10 🙏🏼
Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks a million, brother! Love my 550i but hate the repairs.
Glad the video helped! 👍🏼
Good video for those that have not done this repair. If your handles are worn, it is likely the center vent is melting. Thanks again!
Thank you!
What do you mean by the center vent is melting?
I don’t think you’ve ever lived in 120 degree weather brother.
@@guppy738 The interior pieces have a coating that deteriorates over time. Some refer to it as “melting.”
@@evangaudet Nope.
Thank you!! Details were excellent! My door is no longer sticky!
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
Great video I just did this last week while also replacing the ambient lighting on the door panels with some brighter blue led’s
Thank you!
Great video. Piece around dookie handle was much harder than expected, but the rest was pretty smooth. Thank you.
Thank you, I appreciate you checking it out!
Thanks dude. Exactly the video I needed. Already got the replacement part just needed to know how to do it.
Glad it was able to help you! 🤝🏼

Quick question? Can you tell me your rim setup please and thanks?!
They're just cheap aftermarket wheels, i believe that they are "niche" brand, they came with the car when i bought it
@@Anthony_B Sorry just now seeing this thanks so much love your car
Enjoying the Vids ! Keep it up
Appreciate it!
Just what I needed... great video! $hitty that you have to do this on a "luxury" vehicle!
100% agree, thankfully it’s not too hard of a fix! Thanks for watching 🤝🏼
Doing this now following Ur guide
Good luck!
@@Anthony_B Did well :) Took 2.5 hours but well worth :)
How to find the specs of screws? Last owner just lost all of then

I face the same problem with my 5 series & it was replaced by BMW service centre in Qatar
Oh nice! Thankfully these pieces are pretty cheap to order online over here in the states, so wasn’t too bad haha
Any ideas why the window switches wouldn’t work after reinstall?
