As somebody looking at this and the 620s your reviews have been fantastic. Thank you. Would love more Caterham reviews, specifically comparisons as it seems to be a common question with both this and the 620 being a similar price second hand.
Loved the video. More caterham content please. Really considering getting one!
Then buy it. Every review I have seen is only positive. I can recommend you se the yt channel: A caterham named fern. He has a caterham as a daily driver
@@Very_Grumpy_Catsecond your fern recommendation... Caterham 420 is my dream car and I will own one
Went on sale in 1957 until 1973 as a Lotus 7
Thanks for the overview for that Super 7, nice Video and nice car.
Thanks!
You can buy a zip up hood roll bag that can sit on the top of the boot tonneau and also additional luggage bags. A quick Caterham is a phenomenal car, so pure, so immersive, so visceral, so quick, so unique, so special that it is the benchmark for all performance cars.
That car is awesome. I don't think I've ever seen one before they should bring them to the United States if they haven't already. Good video thx!
Christ I thought Porsche were the masters of rinsing you for options, but Caterham have taken the crown I think! Still a superb fun day car.
But I think I'll stick with my 981 Boxster S 😉 Having done over 3000 miles in it this summer with the ability to raise and lower the roof at 30mph plus a boot both front and back its hard to beat. I also have a track set up MX5 that cost buttons.
Yeah, that's a fair shout! I guess they start with the ultimate in simplicity then charge for each and every complication thereafter. Want it built? Want a windscreen? Want decent headlights? That'll be extra, sir... they still make for a compelling proposition and their residuals are exceptional (last time I looked!) so you get back what you put in. Reaching this time of year, however, the Boxster certainly becomes the more appealing proposition.

@@mikek6869 I don't disagree. In the right conditions they're untouchable. Sometimes you need to drive when it's dark and raining though!
CC designed it in the 50's not the 60's. 👍
nice vid mate :)
A few errors and omissions but otherwise a good video.
Be ok here in Australia then
52k, for a stripped car is asking a Lot for very little.
I get the whole less is more thing for performance.
But this is like a Harley motorcycle . Tomorrows prices for yesterdays tech.
Sorry, but simply not worth it. $2500 for them to build it says a lot too.
420 BHP per ton, hence the 420R name.
210 bhp yes but not 500 kg, more like 560-590 kg depending on options, so it's not 420 bhp/tonne
Caterham's might be a ton of fun but they're over-priced.
That car must be heavy with all them pounds you talkin about.
No engine to look at?
