I am going to be completely honest. This is the best production I have seen in a while. I am amazed by how little subscribers you have. For real, I think that one of your videos goes viral people are going to love your channel. Please keeep up the amazing work.
He's gonna be huge. I thought the same thing when I found a kid named Will Tenyson a few years back that had 5k subs and now he's at over 2 million. Eric's next up
Hey Eric, thank you for sharing your fitness test, and talking through the training system for your audience! We are so happy to hear you are enjoying your COROS gear, and cannot wait to cheer you on as you smash it at Boston 💪🏽
Oh man how I waited for this episode.. Your commitment is truly inspiring. Coros predicted me for a 3:21 marathon the other day, gonna gun for 2:53 in Berlin for my first ever marathon. Best of luck to you too Eric! :)
I've had the coros pace 2 since 2021 and since its major update in spring 2023 the race predictor has been super accurate for me. I always ignored it but would just make a mental note before each race of its prediction and it has always been within 1-2 minutes for half marathons and marathons. I'm 6 weeks out from a sub-3:10 goal marathon and this time I've been watching the predictor more carefully and its currently at 3:11:50 and steadily moving toward 3:10:00.
First time comment from Central Texas, land of no snow banks. Running Austin marathon in 3 weeks, first in 26 years. Picking up the pace 3 watch now so I can get ready for a 10k in April. I was thinking about the garmin, but it's $$. Plan to wear my Bradley U. gear more often on runs now thanks to seeing you represent the Redbirds. Good luck.
I love your videos. Their production is top notch and your approach to story telling is superb. I always look forward to them. Keep up the amazing work.
I've been rocking a whoop for a long time without worrying about getting a dedicated running watch like this, but this Coros watch is nuts! I know these videos are supposed to be about the training but... also a solid Coros ad lol
When I saw you had the pro's on , I could tell you were going to give this test some respect. It is interesting how the variables change with age. At 55 my top is 169 and my LTHR is 151, if I go beyond that , just like you I have to dial it back; This can be heart breaking (no pun intended )in a long race if I am not meeting my wanted pace. Luckily my legs or hips give up the ghost before my cardio does nowadays.
Do you do any cross training like rowing or cycling to get additional low impact aerobic stimulus? New to watching as I get ready for my own goals!! 3:20 Daegu marathon in April and 3:00 Philly in nov. very inspiring videos man!!
Love your video's! I' training for my 3th half marathon, it's in march and I'm hoping thats it's going to be a sub 1:45. Maybe a sub 1:40, who knows 🤷, all I can do is keep training 😅. Your video's help a lot to keep the motivation high! Love the work an good luck to you too!!!
New Floberg video. I know what I’m watching during lunch break. Appreciate the content. I’m running Chicago this fall going for a sub 3. Hope to see/meet you during race weekend.
Just a heads up with the treadmill - they may not warranty the parts if it’s in a garage. I’ve have a ProForm (same parent company as NordicTrack, similar specs, same factory), and I’m on my 3rd tread deck and 2nd belt in 3.5 years. Easy runs seem fine but hard runs tend to wear out the deck quicker. Only one of the decks was warranties, the rest I paid for myself.
To do this cute little 2 and a half hour grind while running the actual 18-24 year marathon (seen around the 7 min mark asking for cocomelon and snax) is SUPER motivating (as a dad of “only 3”) and the real accomplishment. Storyteller, runner, dad. The talent is a triple threat. Out here putting the world on notice. Floggins!
Love following this build up already! Hope I maybe see you in Boston, as 2024 Boston will be my 1st WMM. If I can offer 1 tip, turn your watch around to where the back of the watch is directly over your wrist veins, and make sure it is tight enough to not bounce around while running, but not overly tight to where it might constrict flow. Not only will you find that this turns any Optical HR watch into a VERY accurate device, but I think you will find that simply, bio-mechanically, it is WAY easier to check your watch while running, then in the normal, we shall call it "Casual", position. :)
Get the warranty on the Nordic track. I got this exact treadmill 1.5-2 years ago. The deck started splitting down the middle before a year… But with the warranty they’ll send you a new deck, but only if it’s inside your house and not a garage, so just say it’s inside your house.
since there's so much focus on this 2:35 number, can we get Chicago vs Boston course comparison to better understand how much faster than your 2:39.29 Chicago time this will have to be, on a GAP adjusted basis?
So excited to follow your journey with these episodes! I am curious about your diet for training/leading up to the race. As well how you are preparing for the race route? Will you be doing a videos on this?
Hey hey! Its gonna be a happy Wednesday when there's a new vid to binge while getting ready for the day. :D dang. I hope to he as speedy as you one day. Also, I'll edit if you touch on this in video, but how do you feel about the "current pace" delay? Kofuzi mentioned it can be up to 20 seconds without their footpod. I was just looking at coros vs garmin at my local running store (shoutout Breakaway Running 🎉) and really leaned towards coros after they told me all the features.
Thanks for watching! I always notice about a 5-10 second delay on current pace, even with the pod 2, but if I know that, I know how to adjust for it. I honestly like it a bit because it makes me less focused on the watch and more on the effort haha - as long as I'm getting the work done close enough.
Great video bro been following your channel for years now we’re similar ages and I’m going for my first sub 3 in may I’m currently running 30/40 miles a week 🤞🏻
Great, always look forward to watching your video! I know at one point you were looking into a manual treadmill, any reason why you did go with one of those? thanks!
I tried out a woodway at my gym, and I hated the experience haha - if I went manual, I wouldn't want a curved one; but I'm pretty sure the flat ones have no incline/decline option, and since I wanted that, and I'm so accustomed to a traditional treadmill, I just went for this one.
Regarding the heart rate on the treadmill (I have the same model, but last gen. I've put 1,6k KM on it in about two years and it's still going strong!), it's just pulling it from your strap via Bluetooth. You should be able to see a little Bluetooth logo light up when you start your run. Also, iFit sucks, you can just turn on your treadmill and press any speed on the right section and it will start in manual mode. Even after your free year of iFit expires, you'll still have their garbage pushed down your throat.
Great episode, the fitness test feature is pretty cool. I wonder if that is similar to the lactate threshold test from Garmin? Which I have been terrified to do lol. 😂.
Make sure to fully let gps satellite signal and heart rate signal to set up before starting the actual activity bc the Pace 3 won’t record if not, MAJOR TIP
I’m having a hard time with my current block. I’m slowly trying to increase weekly mileage (while simultaneously losing weight) but I keep dealing with shin splints. It’s like they will go away for a week and come back. I’m not sure how I’m going to increase my fitness enough for my first half in April. I have quite a lot of work to do
I feel really silly asking this, but why is he running on the right side of the road with traffic? I always heard it’s left against traffic. Is it different in the States?
Eric, someone at your level of running should really do a blood lactate threshold test to get the correct numbers, it’s the gold standard of tests (unless you’ve already done one)
Hey Eric, I guess the bottle of champagne is still in the air, I won’t stop teasing you about it until it happens haha😂 i better start to save money for it. Thanks for the video and your workout insight. 👍🍾
My sister has that treadmill and pays for iFit. I used it and ran segments of the Boston Marathon. It was pretty cool how it would change my elevation based on the course I was running, going up and down. Cool treadmill. I hope you don't break it with your fast running, you are too fast for it hahaha.
Go into activities, and instead of "Run" or "Indoor Run," cycle through more, and find fitness test. Click on that, and then it'll prompt you to enter the 10K time and do what I did in the video before the 5:00min warm up.
Hopefully that treadmill doesn't break on you! If I bought one it would be a commercial grade one from Ace fitness equipment. You spend a little more but get one that's like a tank
I have 4 children and a 45 minute commute to work and I'm an entrepreneur and I'm making excuses so maybe I'll do it another time but also, I don't think I care enough to do that
True - Can only control the controllables! Obviously the predictor isn't the actual accomplishment of that time, but it is a psychological gain and digital pat on the back for the work you've been putting in for months and years.
I am going to be completely honest. This is the best production I have seen in a while. I am amazed by how little subscribers you have. For real, I think that one of your videos goes viral people are going to love your channel. Please keeep up the amazing work.
Well, that means a ton. Thank you so much!!

Eric’s up next! Fuck yes.
Some of us have been here since the 2:58 days and it feels like watching your kid achieve their dreams 😭
Hey Eric, thank you for sharing your fitness test, and talking through the training system for your audience! We are so happy to hear you are enjoying your COROS gear, and cannot wait to cheer you on as you smash it at Boston 💪🏽
Love this type of content. Cool to see what Coros provides as a Garmin user. Keep up the good work brotha
Thanks so much!!
I love my Coros pace 3! You did an excellent job showcasing why I feel Coros is perfect for anyone looking to get into Marathon training.
We are so glad to hear you are loving your PACE 3 💪
Loved the breakdown at the end. Super helpful!
Thanks for watching, homie :)

I actually really appreciated the section of the montage with just the camera audio. It's a good dose of reality. Of course, I enjoy the tunes too!
I love your videos. Their production is top notch and your approach to story telling is superb. I always look forward to them. Keep up the amazing work.
I always look forward for your videos to come out. So open and creative. Love it, and good luck in this training block!
Thanks so much!!

I hope you keep it real mate, and don't let the product placements take over your content as your channel grows.
Michigander here. Loving the M22 hat. The M22 area near Glen Arbor and NorthPort is one of my favorite spots to travel to in Michigan!

This is what I get for commenting before I've completed the video. LMAO! Didnt realize you had an armband HR monitor. Carry on good sir. ;)
Haha! All good! Yeah, I've done the wrist swap, but it always trips me out haha

Awesome stuff! You have to take Vo2Max / lactate tests - I wanna know your stats!
Great video, keep crushing
I am so invested in this. Let's go eric!
Thank you!!
I love running too. Brings me so much fulfilment
RIGHT??
Incredible stuff as always 🔥
Much love, my guy.
Hell yeah floberg !
The warm up music is goated.
Such an inspiration. Hope to meet up for a run soon! Keep it up, dude!
That wide shot at 4:35 really puts into perspective how fast you're going. Don't get that sense of pace when its a tight shot.
Yeah, that tripped me out when I saw it haha

Do you train more in carbon plated shoes now than before?
What's the "Feel better" song? I can't find it anywhere
Panic attack in a Michael’s 🫡
@@flobergruns Thank you! I found it on Spotify! Awesome song!!
I’m i having the pod 2 upside down or why do you have it upside down? 😅 great video 🏃♂️
Hahahaha - I never put it on the same way every time. Always flip-flopping haha
@@flobergruns i have to try that myself 😅😂
keep up the good content
Will do! Thanks for watching!!
Gonna need that music from 2:20
That warm up music had ME sweating 😅😂

hahaha - yeah, I hope I don't break it too
Does anyone know if Garmin has something similar?
To record your computer screen, did you use OBS or the in computer recording software?
I actually just do a quicktime screen recording with audio and sync it to my camera audio - works great for me!
How do you setup the corps fitness test?
Go into activities, and instead of "Run" or "Indoor Run," cycle through more, and find fitness test. Click on that, and then it'll prompt you to enter the 10K time and do what I did in the video before the 5:00min warm up.

Got the two year warranty, so hopefully that helps hahaha
Will there be a cameo of the legend, THE Jeff Cunningham sometime during this build? Stay tuned to find out next week! Great episode, as always! 🙂
Hope so!! If we're in the same place at the same time, then I'm sure there will be.
Bro, why don’t you take Vo2max test and find out L1 and L2, or maybe take just lactate test in lab?
I have 4 children and a 45 minute commute to work and I'm an entrepreneur and I'm making excuses so maybe I'll do it another time but also, I don't think I care enough to do that
@@flobergruns ok, sorry for asking, I don’t care neither 😁
